I just had a very tricky eye lid surgery by Dr. Aaron Savar. I looked 2 years years to find a Dr who had the patience and calmness I needed for the confidence to go ahead with the surgery. I have no idea what Dr the other people have critiqued because I have never had such good care in my life from any Dr in any field I have ever met. I have a wonderful result and no matter how many times I dropped by his office and called him on the phone he was always there for me reassuring me along the way. The office staff always had a smile on their face and I never had to wait more than 5 minutes either in his office(or) on the phone even during a holiday when I called emergency 2 different times. I can’t say enough good things about this man. After reading the other comments we must be working with different Doctors.

My old eye doctor of 10+ years retired and referred his business to Dr Savar, so I thought sure — why not, let’s try it out. I just needed my contacts prescription updated(and adjusted, headaches). It was ~18 months ago, but I just came across the payment receipt and remembered why I didn’t go back(no, not just the fee): — Lots of waiting. The appointment took forever. «Let the drops sit for 5 minutes» and he’d be gone for 20, that sort of thing. — I saw Louis Savar who I’m sure is a nice guy, but he wasn’t a particularly nice doctor. — Little posters for Botox(!) by the reception area. Really? Which business are you in. — The doctor wasn’t rude to me(just indifferent) but I overheard him being what I felt was unpleasant to another(elderly) patient. Not cool.

I have seen Dr. Savar numerous times. He is extremely friendly and very knowledgable in all areas of eyesite. He is also an eye surgeon so he is very capable at diagnosing most problems related to vision. I was told by another doctor that I had a condition called Kerataconus. Dr. Savar gave me a thorough exam and explanied why the other doctor may have come to that conclusion, but he was pretty certain I did not have the condtion. Dr. Savar was correct! For general eye exams and prescriptions as well as diagnosing glacoma, cataracts, etc… Dr. Savar is a great choice. I do prefer going to a highly skilled optomotrist for my contact lens prescription because I am a difficult fit and most eye doctors struggle with my severe prescription. But other than that, Dr. Savar is a fine eye doctor!

MY took my Father to see this abusive DR. because he was having trouble seeing. Every time I brought my Father in he would quiz my Father on what he told him the last time that he saw him, and if he didn’t know, he would scream at him. We were at the mercy of the Dr., because I wanted my Father to see, but he didn’t help him and all the screaming and yelling made my Father feel ill! This Dr. is mean to old people and if you are older or have an olderparent please STAYAWAY!!! My Father is gone, but I live with the guilt of ever taking him there.
