Gavert Atelier

This was my first time with Gavert Atelier. Nice, clean, stylish salon. I liked it.
Hiro took care of my cut, OMG, he is the best hair artist ever! I asked him to cut with a very original way that people usually don’t do because I am an artist, and he did a perfect job! No hair stylist could ever done that before. I asked him how come he was so good, he said he was teaching how to cut in Japan. No wonder~ This is a couple days after, but tips of my hair still settled and look good, no need to use any hair product to fix in the morning.
By the way, his shampoo feels like a heaven:)

Michiko Muto is the best hairstylist — she is my colorist and cuts my hair. Her blowouts are phenomenal and usually last 2 –3 days. She is attentive, and keeps me informed during the entire time I am at the salon. I have been a 20 year client of Michiko and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my color. She is friendly, warm and «fun to be around with» person and I consider her a true friend. She also cuts my 2 children’s hair and they always love to see her at the salon. We always leave the salon feeling pampered and beautiful.
The atmosphere of the salon is relaxing and everyone seems to get along. Everyone is friendly and attentive. They offer a drink when you are seated in the chair. When your hair is washed they have the amazing massage chairs that make my hair washing experience so much nicer — plus a great scalp massage!
I’m very happy at Gavert Atelier and would highly recommend Michiko Muto to everyone!

This review is half-​guilt and all gratitude. Half-​guilt because I owe my amazing team at Galvert a public-​praise-​sing-​it-​from-​the-​rooftops-​thank you for well over a year. And ALL gratitude because… well, for the last 18 months the amazing Yuki Nakatani (Styling) and Cathy Provenzano (color) have been making me feel like a million dollars. Yuki can cut any version of hair and make it stunning. I met him first on the day of a big Gala I was attending when a neighboring salon told me he could do a fantastic up-​do! Which of course he did. I was hooked.
Yuki is a rising talent to watch. He will definitely make a name for himself one day. Aside from the fact that he is very warm and personable, he is extremely focused when it comes to cutting and styling. He has taken my locks from half-​way down my back (where they never belonged) and slowly and patiently inched them up until about 6 weeks ago when I went «cold turkey» and off it all came. The cuts have always been amazing, but this time he outdid himself. For days, I didn’t even have to comb it in the morning! Not even kidding.
And the thing I see with Yuki is each cut is the first for him. You will never get the sense that he looks at you and thinks he has cut your hair before. He truly sees each cut as a brand new opportunity. And that is obvious because of the attention it feels like «each hair» is getting!
Cathy Provenzano is simply a color Master. She has years of experience and makes magic happen from a bottle. I have no idea how she manages to re-​create the color I had for the better part of my life — streaky blond with hi-​and low-​lights, and creating great «natural» depth & definition! Even when she only touches up the roots, my hair ALWAYS looks textured with multiple hues. Well, okay. She’s an old-​school master, so that’s how she does it. But how she manages to make it look so simple and to modestly underplay her genius – THAT is the part I can’t figure out! Always in good humor and always there to make my day a little better.
I always say that God gave me easy hair because he wanted me to get a lot done in my day – but without Yuki and Cathy, even HIS efforts would have been in vain! I love you guys!
And to anyone reading this, do yourself a favor and book ASAP with Gavert Atelier! Oh, I totally forgot to mention: this salon has THE most comfortable reclining — massaging – chairs for hair washing you have ever experienced. No cramps, kinks or whiplash. And the Assistants who wash and rinse always give incredible custom scalp massages to boot. The whole show at Gavert is simply A+ from ambience, music, chairs, Assistants, Chloe’s big smile at the front desk when you walk in – you name it – I have literally lived all over the world and this is simply the best salon and service I have ever known.

I went back in to refresh my hair cut and color. I got a cut and styled by Jonathan again. He knows exactly what I wanted. I asked him natural wavy hair what u can find in Instagram these days and Final result was mind blowing. It was exactly what I wanted. I feel beautiful and confident. I love it and will definitely come back for this:)
