NOT food allergy friendly. Server had no clue what was in what dish. Wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken. When it arrived it was chopped salad out of a bag, with one tiny breast on top. My daughter got a stomach ache, even after they told us the pizza dough had no dairy. Bill came to $ 61(no booze), which is a rip off for such bland food. The place is dirty too. The cloth in the seat backs haven’t been cleaned in 10 years. Do yourself a favor and go to Not Your Average Joes, just down the street

It’s really important to know that if you order online, and it’s a busy time for them, the pick up time the website gives you can be VERY wrong. I had to wait an extra 25 minutes past the 40 minutes that the site told me.

Went there last night– June 16th at 8pm. Pizza was overcooked, the eggplant was tasteless and really messy and thrown on the plate. The staff in the kitchen were yelling loudly and fooling around and it showed in the food. We asked for a side of green beans they were brought to the table undercooked and scorched black on the top. I usually like Bertuccis but have only gone to the one on Route one. The server was excellent.

I wish I could give BERTICCIS0 stars. My husband had decided he wanted to go here for his birthday dinner. We(meaning my son, husband and myself walked in at 4:00 on a Tuesday, we stood at the host station for 10 minutes ! No employees around finally the bartender who was serving 1 other table looked at us and walked back into the kitchen area. We waited another 5 minutes and decided to leave. Thanks for nothing I will not go here again

It pays to speak up. Two friends and I went for lunch yesterday. Not being in the mood for one of the $ 7.99 lunch special, I checked out the main menu. When I saw Jambalaya Fettuccine, the description sounded wonderful; but, I remembered that I had ordered their Veal Marsala a few years back and it was horrible — veal marsala«soup» with tiny pieces of veal that were lost in the mess. We had a friendly, helpful waiter(Joe), so I asked him about the Jambalaya Fettuccine. He said it was very good. I asked him if it would be soupy, and he said the chef would make it any way I wanted. I did tell him about the veal marsala dish and he assured me I would get what I request. So, I said I wanted the Jambalaya to look just like the picture, not soupy and I requested medium heat. Well, when Joe came with our lunches, the chef was with him carrying the Jambalaya! He asked who ordered it and I said I had. When he handed it to, me, it looked just like the picture. It was FANTASTIC! Incredible flavors and the perfect amount of heat. I asked Joe to thank the chef for me and let him know how delicious it was. Joe said he would. So, it does pay to speak up. I don’t know if this is a new chef at North Beverly’s Bertucci’s, but I do hope he stays!

Overrated. My parents have been divorced since I was young, and growing up I would have weekend visits with my father which more than likely consisted of Bertucci’s. I remember how authentic and delicious everything was. Now Bertucci’s has become just like any other chain restaurant. Mediocre food, mediocre environment, and sometimes good service. The food quality has definitely gone down. This Bertucci’s has some great servers, some okay ones but they take a long time to get to you, which I can empathize with when it’s busy. But sometimes it is TOO long. Most recently I visited and ordered the TriColor Tortellini with Chicken Gratinati and it was probably a 6.5 out of 10. The food was tasty, but only has tortellini, chicken, and tomatoes with it, so I ordered a side of vegetables. The vegetables, unbeknownst to me, were also roasted in the same pan in the oven for probably longer than it took to cook my pasta. Then when I finally received them, they were not good. They were very spicy and not a fan of the soggy/cooked spicy choices. I believe there was broccoli, eggplant, artichoke, zucchini, peppers, and something else. The seasoning/spice was not pleasant and you could even smell that it was spicy. I love broccoli, zucchini and peppers but these were gross. I’m usually a veggie fanatic. My server was very sweet and it was busy, but she managed to check on us as frequently as she could. Don’t remember her name, sorry. At the end of my meal I used the restroom, and when I came out there were a few servers and cooks making jokes and wasting time while there were a few pizzas and dishes ready. Now I don’t know if they were staying there because the rest of the tables meals were not ready, or if they were socializing which they should because they are stuck there to make ends meet and should have some type of entertainment and friendship while working their ass off for not enough money, I was put off by the fact I was walking by and 2 of them almost bumped into me if I had not noticed, not with food, just laughing and joking around. I think they should have fun but be mindful of that corner where the bathroom goes into the main dining area. The drink(alcohol) choices are nothing special. I probably will only return for the bread and oil. That is the only thing they have managed to keep delicious, fresh, and worth the trip. EDIT: Forgot to mention about the dishes. The pasta dishes including the Tri Color Tortellini Chicken Gratinati, Chicken Parm, and another one I forget, have all gone down in size. Now, that’s not to say it won’t fill you. But for the prices they charge for the average food, they used to give portions that may fill you for 2 – 3 meals which makes your trip worth it. I wouldn’t be judging this aspect if they had not served HUGE portions for years, then started to cut back. Also no good dessert options.

The food is ok but the service is so extremely bad it would not come as a surprise to find that this place had no manager. Takeout orders are frequently missing items and the table service is comically slow — I actually began to think that my waitress opted to quit rather than bring me my dinner.

Tried to use the online ordering. What a pain. After filling everything in it wouldn’t accept the coupon for ordering online.

Usually I get the create your own calzone at Bertucci’s, however this time I was in the mood for Fettuccine Alfredo, so I ordered Chicken Alfredo which cost around $ 14 and when the food arrived at the table and I saw how small the portion was I was shocked, barely any pasta and only 4 thinly cut pieces of grilled chicken, and what’s even worse was the«Alfredo» sauce they used was tasteless and didn’t have the typical, thick alfredo texture you’re accustomed to. This was the worst experience I’ve had here and I’d recommend going to the Olive Garden over Bertucci’s if you want pasta.

Two couples, each with a baby. Can you say, «Disaster ready to happen?» If you see a party of four with babies, I would think it’s common sense to seat us at a more spacious area where the high chairs won’t be in the server’s way. The host sat us in a small booth and put the high chairs at the end of the booth where the server would serve us the hot(potentially dangerous) dishes. We remedied the small booth problem by using my big butt to push the seat back. Hallelujah the booth seats were not nailed down to the floor. And my wife held the baby away from any mishaps. But I understand that these hostesses and waitresses probably don’t have any experience with babies. They looked to be in their early 20’s. So I forgive them. Actually, as a new parent, I am learning to be more vocal about my baby’s accommodations. So I won’t fault them for this minor inconvenience. The three stars are actually for the food quality and service. They were both A-OK. The Chicken Piccata was pretty good, but the pepperoni pizza and the meatball pasta were below average. The Margherita pizza was what holds this review at 3 stars. I have never had a bad Margherita there, but how can you go wrong on that pizza? The strawberry lemonade was made just right to my liking(not too sweet), and it being free refill was a plus. I know it’s not a reason to pick a restaurant, but the hot bread that they serve is a favorite of mine. I have not been to a quality Italian place in the north shore, but that would be asking for good French food in Bedford.(not that i have anything against Bedford). North shore is about seafood. Please do recommend some quality Italian food where it’s safe to bring a baby~ Ciao!

Below average food. Very below average service. Bertuccis is a decent restaurant. This one in particular, however, doesn’t live up to the name.

The pizza use to be very good and we did not mind paying the extra to have it. However, the last couple of times we ordered take out, the pizza’s were very much lacking toppings and ingredients and was mostly bread. How hard and pricy is it to provide a decent pizza that costs the consumer $ 18? We will be seeking another restaurant.

I hate to give this place one star after I’ve been there so many times without an issue. My mom and I went for dinner, we were seated immediately and our waitress promptly came over and took our drink order. Soon after she brought us our bread and then took our food orders, she was very pleasant and accommodating. The problems started after we placed our orders. We realized about a half hour had gone by without being checked on, no appetizer, nothing. It was not busy and from where we were sitting we could see most of the wait staff hanging out around the kitchen talking. Our appetizer never came so I called the manager over who seemed like he couldn’t be bothered to help us. After I spoke to the manager, our waitress brought our appetizer over which unfortunately was pretty burnt. At that point we were just so frustrated by the experience we decided to leave. I’ve worked in customer service for years and am generally pretty understanding when things fall through the cracks or something gets messed up. We’ve never had an experience like this at this location. Not sure what was going on tonight. We will not be going back.

My favorite Bertucci’s around my area! My family and I used to always go here for birthday dinners or out to lunch with my dad because it was right near his work. Great location! Always has great waitress’/waiters! The best quality food, no complaints :) I would go here over and over again!

Bertucci’s is consistent and delicious! Whether you are dining in or getting take-out, you are in for something delicious. The pizza is fantastic! And the complimentary rolls… don’t even get me started. The only reason that I took one star off is because on our last visit I asked for no dressing on my salad, but it still had dressing on it. I know thats not a big deal, and maybe I am being a little harsh… but five stars calls for perfection. The salad that I had, however, was very good. It was the watermelon and arugula salad, but I opted for chicken instead of shrimp because I planned on taking half of it home the next day, and figured that chicken would keep better in the fridge. If you go to Bertucci’s in North Beverly, ask for Josh or Peter to be your server! These guys are amazing at what they do! And be sure to tip them well!

Couldn’t have asked for a better meal and experience. We had 8 people, incl 2 kids and everything was great. Everyone got something different and we were all happy with their meals. Look, it’s not breathtaking or exquisite food and you won’t see it on the Phantom Gourmet but it’s solid Italian food from a *local* chain. And this restaurant in particular was top notch. Our waiter and the GM checked up on us a few times and they all seemed sincere in making sure we were satisfied. They did it for other people too do it wasn’t just our large group. Only complaint is the small and busy parking lot. EDIT. Knocking it down a notch. The take-out service is terrible. More often than not my order is not ready when I show up. And I don’t mean 5 minutes late. More like *20 minutes* late! And at least once they were out of rolls. How does THAT happen?

After the snow storm we decided to come back here to get some pizza out of the house. I was actually very surprised to have a pizza that was pretty good. My gir’s was cooked very well, but mine was just a tad undercooked, not enough to totally mess it up. The toppings like the cheese, and gravy were excellent. I will give them another try with take out, and see how it goes. So far I have to say this will be my go-to place for pizza in Beverly. The staff were excellent there, and the drinks they made for us were generous. No skimping on the pours.

got the chicken marsala($ 15) and shrimp rossini($ 16 or $ 17). everything was good except my potatoes and green beans with the marsala were a little burnt. other than that it was good. staff was friendly and service was quick. lunch is the best time to go since the give you free bottomless salad with the order and it’s a decent salad. BUT, tables were a little dirty and the food was a little less than ideal. it doesn’t taste horrible but it’s not what $ 15 – 18 dishes should look like. again, the food doesn’t taste bad but it doesn’t look professional and definitely never like the picture. but to be fair, all bertuccis have been a little less than ideal.

A great place for families for lunch & dinner. We come here often for: Margherita pizza which has fresh mozzarella, house made tomato sauce, Romano cheese and fresh basil. Sporkie pizza is a delicious combination of sweet Italian sausage and ricotta cheese with house made tomato sauce & mozzarella cheese. All pizzas are fired in brick-ovens & are available in individual & large size. Roasted Artichoke Fonduta is a great appetizer for sharing. Artichoke hearts blended in a mozzarella, Asiago and Romano cheese spread, then baked and served with crispy flatbread. Four Cheese Ravioli are ravioli stuffed with ricotta, Parmesan, Romano and Fontina cheeses. Topped with tomato sauce and fresh basil. It’s especially good w/their Bolognese Sauce & shaved Parmesan. The Chicken Marsala is delicious w/tender chicken breasts grilled and topped with mushrooms in a Marsala wine sauce with green beans and roasted red potatoes or side of pasta. Baked Tortellini and Chicken Gratinati is a rich, bubbling casserole of tri-color cheese tortellini tossed with chicken, tomatoes, cream, ricotta, mozzarella and Romano cheeses then baked in our brick oven. Chicken Domani is a satisfying dish w/sautéed chicken are tossed in a white wine sauce with gemelli pasta and spinach, then finished with Asiago cheese. Fresh rolls & dipping oil are served w/meals. Lunch is available until 3pm & served with unlimited salad(you must ask for anchovies & parmesan cheese if you want them). Kids get a ball of dough to play with & a coloring book. Full bar, catering, take-out, & even Gluten-free & Game-Day menus. We recommend call-ahead seating during peak times &/or visiting their take-out market.
