Maybe it was just the one time I ordered from here, but this pizza was possibly the worst I’ve ever had. Seeing as pizza is my favorite food to order in and I’ve been living in Beverly for the past year, I’ve tried almost every pizza around here. The box claims it was«Voted the best pizza in Beverly.» I honestly don’t know how it got voted even in the top 5. I’ve had tons of better pizza in Beverly and considering a franchise like dominos is one of them, it’s hard to see how others like this pizza. Again, maybe it was the one time I’ve had this pizza, but the experience will make me never give them a second chance. The pizza seemed undercooked, the cheese tasted funky, and the crust was soggy. The sauce was possibly the only decent part about the pizza. Even worse, reheating this pizza, which most people do, was inedible. It came out completely soggy, almost wet even, and any leftovers had to be immediately thrown out. On the bright side, their mozzarella sticks were okay.

Small portions for the price. Had food delivered and was not told of the $ 5 delivery charge nor is this on the web site. The food was cold when we got it. Poor business.

This is my favorite pizza place in Beverly, they are fast and delicious! I would have given them 5 stars but I honestly have never had any of their other food from the menu. The pizza is always good, though, and it’s definitely my go to for pizza.

HORRIBLEDELIVERYDRIVER!!! If I could give this no stars for the delivery service I would. Let me just say, if the food was hot it may have been good. But when I called and ordered I was told everything would be in a half hour. My first thought of course was, this is awesome. When 50min went passed, I called… she said oh the driver already left he should be there is a few minutes. Almost an hour later, the driver arrived, an the first thing he asked me for was did I have a pen? I had no idea what he was talking about. When he comes up he has two different receipts and handed me a credit card receipt, I said sir I did not pay with a card. So once he got the receipts situated, he then hands me the two boxes of pizza and two side bags. I told him I only ordered a large cheese pizza and chicken fingers with a Pepsi…(which for some reason that was $ 23.) I then repeated that’s not my order, he insisted that I should just take it and not waste good food, I said sir it had the other address on the box… but he made it clear he did not care… so after the back and forth, and the long wait for the food… I just took it. I finally get in, change my clothes and get comfortable. The driver then calls back 10min later and says he thinks he made a mistake, do you have extra food? I said the food I told you that was not mine and you insisted I should take? So then I seriously had to take the time out again for this foolishness!!! My food was cold, I couldn’t imagine the order that he wanted me to give back.

I got chicken parm and I watched them microwave the pasta. I’m a college student and even my standards are higher than that! Pasta is the easiest thing you could possibly have to prepare, and microwaving it is just lazy. They clearly don’t give a shit about their quality of food. It’s way too over priced for what you’re getting. I asked the sweet girl at the counter for ketchup packets and the older woman working with her leaned over and told her to charge me extra for ketchup. Are you kidding me?

Excellent pizza. Especially liked the eggplant pizza. It was ready when it was expected to be, hot and tasty. Convenient location, reasonable price.

Best pizza in Beverly. The staff is also super nice, we’ve been going there for 20 years, yum, the eggplant pizza rocks! Try a tuna pocket with green peppers!

Scheduled to have 3 pizzas picked up at noon for a business lunch. Pizzas weren’t even in the oven yet, it’s 12:02pm. I’ll be late. This is utterly unacceptable

I’m surprised this place doesn’t have a higher overall rating. Went here with some friends and we all got chicken kabob salads and they were awesome! Very juicy chicken which I like and their house dressing wasn’t too bad either. Yummy now I’m craving one!

I have been going to Maria’s pizza with my family since I have lived in Beverly which means at least 14 years. This place never lets me down with their awesome service, staff, and of course incredible pizza!!! Everyone I know absolutely raves about this place. They weren’t voted number one pizza in Beverly for several years for nothing! Maria’s is the only place in Beverly that has nice thick crispy crust with an incredible blast of flavor! Always cooked to perfection, their food is my true weakness! I can’t get enough of Maria’s! Not only is the pizza unreal, but the chicken kabob salad as well! All of my friends and I LOVE Maria’s salad!!! A true Greek taste with their fresh feta and delicious pita bread!!! Mmmm mm! The menu goes on and on with delicious choices like subs, dinners, sides, etc! And not to mention when you’re feeling sick their homemade chicken soup-Greek style-will cure your illness in no time! **bonus** THISPLACEEVENHASTRUEGREEKBAKLAVA!!! Delicious! Definitely one of the only pizza places with consistency. A very nice family owns it too, which makes it a warm welcoming. Writing this review seriously makes me wish I had a large cheese pizza in front of me with fries… AHHH.

This place time and time again lures me in after a night of heavy drinking and bad choices. For those who suffer that dreaded hangover, look no farther then the Maria’s. An order of two large cheese steaks is more then ample enough to soak up the booze rumbling around in that belly of yours. Throw in a gatorade and a well timed smoke youll be up in running. My only complaint is every time I show up im greeted with a death stare. Sends shivers down my spine. Seriously WTF mate?! Hell im probably bringing it on myself showing up reeking of booze and the loveable mary jane

Good pizza… horrible staff. I arrived to pick up a pizza I had ordered and waited patiently at the counter for the waitress standing directly two feet in front of me to stop talking to her friend about her vacation. She was totally in her own world. Girl behind the counter who takes phone orders is wonderful. The rest have been there too long and don’t care. On a more positive note, the best pizza around… For take out…

Greek style pizza and the best Italian sub around.

Hate to give a two star… but the meatball sub. Definitly frozen mini meatballs i got at the cafeteria when I was in grade school, sauce was recally nothing to fantastic. So Maria’s is supposed to have the best pizza in beverly, and I dont doubt they do but i never tried it(looked like greek style). So in wrapping up nice and attentive staff, lousy meatball subs, and best pizza in Beverly(or so the awards littering the walls say). Change the meatballs and Ill definitly revise the review.

After our neighbor delighted us with treats from Coffee Time Bake Shop, we knew we needed to ask for a recommendation from her for local pizza. Maria’s is what she suggested. 45 minutes later, we had a large plain and a large pepperoni pie and I’ve got to say, having lived in MA for about three years now, this is hands down the best pizza I’ve had since I left NYC. The crust is just right — on the thin side but not a true«thin crust», doughy, the right amount of sauce. The only thing is that the slices aren’t big enough to fold, but taste-wise, this is definitely the real deal. I almost wish I could call and order another pie for dinner tonight, but I mean, c’mon…my arteries wouldn’t be thanking me for it.

I only started going to Maria’s out of its close proximity to where I live. I have been there countless times and gotta say I love it! I don’t get their pizza often, but I do have a soft spot for the chicken and broccoli pizza as well as their eggplant pizza. Their sandwiches are what I mainly go their for. The subs are really great and they make a really good gyros. The veggies are always fresh too. The only downsize is that their pizza sizes are bit small(the small is essentially a personal pan). Not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind.

This is my favorite place to get a cheeseburger and fries. The food is always made to order, tastes amazing and is really great for when you need a break from that big night of cramming all your Art History notes! Maria’s is a greasy little slice of heaven. Wish I lived closer to it…

Maria’s Pizza is terrible. I’d like to find the people who voted this slice«best of Beverly» and knock some sense into them. And for the people who say this is their favorite pie in Beverly, are your taste buds malfunctioning? We ordered a delivered veggie pizza. First glance: Looks good, fresh veggie and LOADS of them. Slivered garlic. I’m thinking it looks good. Not too much cheese, and what is there is golden brown. It’s a fine looking pizza. Then I grab a slice, the crust is wafer thin. I bite in and inhale what must’ve been all the oregano dusted onto the pizza. As soon as I taste the crust I can tell it’s frozen, like those crap pizza«shells» you can buy at market basket and make your own pizza. The crust is terrible. There is no excuse for frozen crust pizza ever. At the very least a place should purchase frozen dough and stretch out the crust themselves, that I can excuse, but frozen cisco ordered pizza shells, never. I choked through one sliced, washed down with copious amounts of beer. Starving I grabbed another slice, sure to regret it as much as the first, and bit into what must’ve been all the basil shaken onto the pizza. The broccoli on my pizza had been previously cook, too much, the 2 pieces on my 2nd slice were not yellow green, but black and mushy. They score points for all the fresh veggies, are deducted points for blackened and mushy broccoli loose more points for lack of sauce and gain some points for well cooked cheese and loose everything for the frozen cisco ordered nasty cardboard like crust. I’ve gotten better pizza from the frozen section at Shaw’s. For the same price point you can order a better pie at 3 Star, Napoli’s, or Prinzi’s. Save your taste buds the horror of Maria’s and go someplace else, or forget it all and save yourself $ 15 and get a frozen Shaw’s brand pizza for the same cardboard like crust experience. Furthermore– I stand by my review of this place. It’s awful. I recently received a bigoted ignorant«compliment» from user Ernie b. Who I can only assume is an employee, friend or family. So go to Maria’s get an awful slice of pizza and a side of hate, intolerance and bigotry. Mhhmm Just the way I like my pizza full o’ hate.
