Took my bike in for $ 200.00 service package. I don’t think they did much of anything to my bike. Still have issues with brakes– so I don’t think they touched them. Not to mention my bike wasn’t ready when they said it would be. Worse yet– they did not even call me to tell me it wasn’t ready! When I called to see if it was ready they said it hadn’t been worked on at all yet. Then I get a call the next morning saying the bike is ready. I seriously doubt my service was worth $ 200.00. I feel like I was lied to and ripped off. I wouldn’t recommend this shop at all!

Terrible experience with this shop. Bought a $ 4,000 time trial Cervelo from these guys and its been nothing but problems. The customer service is even worse. I bought my bike 2 weeks ago and the bike tire is rubbing so badly it is hard to ride. I took it to them and they said I could not get it for 3 – 4 days. I bought the bike to use while Ironman training and cannot go without it for that many days… there response was, «I don’t know what to tell you.» Steer clear of these guys if you want a performance bike. Go to TriTech!!!

So, I haven’t really ridden a bike since I was 14. Recently — we decided that this would be a great way to get out, get some exercise, and see my community from a different perspective. So — I headed over to roll: in Bexley. Upon entering the store, I can tell you — I was a bit overwhelmed. This store almost screams — NOVICESKEEPOUT! I mean… it looks SERIOUS. Well, that was until we were greeted by Tyler, their service manager. We explained to Tyler that… well, we obviously were not bike people but we wanted to get rolling ASAP. Tyler was kind, friendly, and above all — patient. He listened to questions, offered advice, and helped to get us set up with a bike that was appropriate for our experience and our needs. He did not try to get us on the most expensive bike in the entire place… and for that… I am grateful. The selection here is impressive — they had everything we could possibly need to get set up and be successful and happy. The staff were all friendly and supportive of every single persons own bike-riding goals. The only holdback from giving 5 stars was some confusion around when I should pick up my back after it was assembled. I was told anytime after 2pm but when arriving at 6:30pm — my bike wasn’t finished and I was told that I should have waited for a phone call. Then they said they would have to rush my bike and build it before 8pm… clearer communication would have saved me the hassle. Otherwise… a great experience!

If you’re like me and not exactly the sporty type, then head on over to the Bexley Roll, and make sure you ask for Tyler — he specializes in helping the confused and slightly crazy. And let me further clarify«not exactly the sporty type». I’m kind of a disaster. Buying a bike has terrified me for the past year. My imagination kept running off to the 6th grade locker room where the athletic boys weren’t nice to boys like me. I imagined most bikes shop to be very similar, and I thought they would be filled with douches who would make fun of me for even trying to ride a bike. Boy was I wrong. Once the Mister and I had decided to buy new bikes, I finally worked up the nerve to go into Roll. I’m pretty sure Tyler had no idea what he was in store for when he asked to help us. I asked a million(stupid) questions, and Tyler was incredibly patient and kind the whole time. He clearly explained how everything worked, and he spent a ton of time with us to make sure we got the right bikes. After about an hour and a half, we had shiny new bikes with all the bells and whistles. Well, there were bells — but no whistles. And Tyler was definitely no salesman; he never tried to push unnecessary accessories. The next day, I had to drop by Roll to get some adjustments for my bike, and guess who was there? I thought for sure he’d run to the back to hide from me, but nope — he came right out and offered to help me. So, 5 stars for Tyler! I am going to take away 1 star because the Bexley Roll’s communication is a bit lacking. I originally wanted to set up some time online to shop for the bike, but I never heard back from the store. And then the shop didn’t set very clear expectations for the Mister to pick up his bike after being assembled — this resulted in us having to kill over an hour at the Starbucks next door.

Just opened in Bexley after their move from Easton. A good addition to the Main Street vendor list. Next to Starbucks.
