Maternity Fair

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ:
Maternity Fair may have quality used maternity and baby clothing ect., but that’s only because the owner (Janet) aquires her merchandise from lying and cheating the people who she do business with her.
Janet asked my mother-​in-​law if she knew anyone looking to sell items for her store. We were happy to help her out, as well as try to make some extra money for our family since my husband lost his job when I was about 5 months pregnant. We live in Philadelphia and came to Maine in the beginning of October 2012 to visit and brought 2 full diaper boxes full of baby clothing, baby shoes, baby blankets and a baby tub. We told Janet that we would only be in Maine for 5 days and told her to take her time going through everything, but to contact us before we left. Well, she didn’t! We asked our mother-​in-​law to please ask her to call us but she said that she would just put a check in the mail for us. A week later, we never received a check.
Upon calling Janet, she said that she sent us $ 20!!! I told her that I didn’t feel that was a fair price at all and she claimed that it was fair seeing as «most of the clothes were stained and worn.» If that was the case, then why did she keep those items??? Why weren’t they returned to us or my mother-​in-​law???
I asked Janet to return all of our property to my mother-​in-​law and she said that she would. Two weeks have gone by and she STILL hasn’t returned anything. Janet has seen my mother-​in-​law multiple times at the Kingdom Hall and has avodied her every time! I have sent her an email asking her to return my property which at this time I consider stollen.
I should never have left my things with this woman without receiving payment up front, and have learned my lesson the hard way.
PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS WOMAN BECAUSE THE THINGS THAT YOU PURCHASE MIGHT VERY WELL BELONG TO ME AND BE STOLLEN.
