Wonder Nails

I love this place. I have been to a lot of salons in and around Biddeford and Saco. But this place is the best. The people who work here are so nice and the quality of work is really good. I get my nails done here often and have never had to wait long. I would recommend getting there early or going at an off time though.

Haven’t gone back here in months since a friend of mine got an infection from a pedicure done here. Lots of other places in the area, wouldn’t risk it!

Very clean, friendly & prompt. Not pushy at all when it comes to services. They give you what you ask for and do a great job. Fast service without ever feeling rushed out the door and easy to get an appt.

Pedicure & gel manicure. The best pre-​polish: massage, hot stones to the feet, warm towels around the legs. So relaxing.

My daughter and I went here for the first time today. We were originally going to another place, but they couldn’t fit us in so I called Wonder Nails. They took us in right away when we arrived early for our appointment and we were very pleased with their quick, friendly, and very expert service. We will be back!

Yesterday I gave them a try and I am so glad I did. My P&W came out perfect. I also got P&W acrylic toes and they were executed beautifully. I only gave 4stars because they didn’t have the best set up for getting acrylic toes… no special chair like I have had in other salons out of state. I had to hold my leg up under the nail desk and it was tiresome for me AND the nail tech. She still did a great job though. I found my nail spot.

didn’t have a good experience here. pedi was more like polish change. staff nice enough, but sloppy polish application means I had to remove polish within 48 hours. didn’t want my cuticles trimmed but then she didn’t trim my nails, just filed them. and today my big toenail cracked!

I’ve heard the wait for this place can be a little long, but I didn’t have to wait long at all. They have all of my requirements for a nail salon: comfy massagy chairs and OPI nail polish. And then, hot stones for your leg massage. It was fantastic. Really a cut above. I also got an acrylic manicure afterwards and I think the owner, who was incredibly personable wanted to get home and so he and his wife tag-​teamed my nails. I was fine with this. Unfortunately they didn’t communicate what sizes they used for the white part which resulted in the nails not lining up when comparing thumb with thumb etc. Not a HUGE deal, but it irked me. I’m going to get my next pedicure there.

So this was my first time here. I was surprised to see that there weren’t any reviews on this place. They’ve been in this building for some years now. You walk in, and they greet you with a big hello! The place looks very clean and of course smells of acrylic. The prices for their services are in big letterings on the wall. If I had more time waiting to be serviced, I would have included all their service and prices in his review, as they don’t have a website.
I got a regular Mani/​pedi which was $ 35. Separately a regular manicure is $ 14 and pedicure is $ 25. Mind you, I said regular. I don’t know what comes with the upgraded Mani and pedi service for $ 60.
Well, they put me in the pedi chair and the messaging chair did it’s thing. The water was a little warm, but you just have to let them know. A lady beside me said the same thing. So they promptly fixed the temperature. Mai pronounced May (I think that was her name) tended to my feet. I don’t have gnarly feet, and I don’t need all the scrubbing to get the dead skin off. I take care if my feet even during the winter months. I couldn’t say the same for the lady to my left! Oh boy! It looked as though her nail grew up in layers, not out! I think they had to give her a toe nail for one of her big toes. And all the scrubbing on her feet just didn’t do the trick. She is definitely going to have to come back and slowly but surely have them work on her heels. They looked like the cracks in frost heaves.
Anyway, after trimming my cuticles and messaging my tootsies and legs, they brought out rocks! Oh boy! I’ve never had rocks before, but ok, I’m game. Warm smooth rocks messaged on my feet and legs. Aahhhhh… then they dried my legs and feet, painted my toes and sat me at the drying table.
Since they were so busy, I came back later in the day to get my manicure. When I walked through the door, the male owner was like ‘Hey she’s back! Yay!’ I paid for the Mani/​pedi earlier and told them that i would be back. They got so busy all of a sudden, that they wouldn’tve been able to finish my manicure. It was a sunny day, I wanted to enjoy the walk back home to retrieve my car. I’m glad i waited. Very nice manicure and message to my hands.
Wonder Nails should be called a spa. They do everything. Different types if wax jobs, messages… they even offer permanent makeup. I will definitely return, but I will call and make an appointment, just in case :)
