As managers of a mobile home community, we have to get several bids prior to getting a job done. The majority of the time, the job is awarded to Scotty’s not only because they’re usually the most affordable, but their work is professional — sometimes innovative — always pleasant!

I’ve used Scotty for several years. He and his team knows their stuff and are always helpful and on time. Plumbing work at 6,750 feet above sea level is different from down the hill. Good service and he gets it right first time!

Called for a quote on a busted elbow joint. Spoke to Scotty who said he had plenty of time to do the job but when I asked for a quote he said «I don’t have time for that»… you can’t spend 60 seconds talking me through ballpark price ranges for a very straightforward job? WTF dude? I get that we’re in the middle of nowhere and you can charge us whatever you want… but cmon man. Telling someone you «don’t have time» for a simple quote is poor customer service.

Called them and got this guy. My entire house is clogged up with shit coming out of all the tubes. The guy asks if I know that it is Christmas day and that I won’t be getting anyone to help me tonight. He also asked if I had anyone around the house to fix it. terrible place, would not recommend.

We’ve been fixing up our cabin little by little, and finally got around to replacing the toilet. When my husband pulled it out… OMG, What a mess. I can’t even explain how broken, rotted, and rusted everything under there was. There was nothing for us to bolt the toilet to, since that piece broke out as soon as the old toilet came out. I found Scotty’s on Unilocal.He was out here in an hour, was pleasant, did a superb job, and charged a fair price. We would definitely call them again.

Gus from Scotty’s Plumbing has come to save the day at our Big Bear Lake cabin twice now! Both times he arrived promptly, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Since this is a vacation home, and not very good at surviving the extreme climate up here, we have had pipes burst, and Gus won’t quit until all the leaks have been fixed. The first time he even helped me chisel ice out of the toilets, and got our thermostat replaced and our heater up and running again. The prices are reasonable, and the service is great! I have his phone number on our board in case guests arrive to water or heater problems so they can call him right away.

Scotty did send me a cell phone message the next day saying he would drop off the money we paid him. He never did.

I use Scotty’s for my cabin in Big Bear. They have done excellent work at fair prices. I used to use another heating company in Big Bear, that also did very good work, but the prices were much, much higher. I suggest you give Scotty’s a try.
