Walked into the gas station, Went towards the burger area, stood there for 5 min and didn’t see anyone. I have this thing that if I go to a restaurant and don’t get acknowledged I get offended and walk out. Is anyone else like that? Or am I just wierd? Anyways the prices seemed pretty cheap to be honest, I would have loved to try it out. However cheap food usually isn’t good, and good food isn’t usually cheap.

The guy who runs the place is very friendly. Ive been here one other time before and he remembered me and gave me a free drink. The cheese curd burger is delicious and everything is made fresh. The service is awesome id definitely reccommend it to anybody looking to get a good burger in Big Lake!

Unfortunately it didn’t impress. First of all I’m surprised this place has not got sued because although plowed, the parking lot was not treated with salt and a basically a skating rink. Environment was acceptable and had a 50s style décor. Dining room was fairly clean but the fake plants and trees should get tossed. I was excited about the menu considering there is not a real burger place out in this area. I got the California burger but when I ordered I wasn’t asked how I wanted my burger? That seemed odd to me considering it’s a burger joint. It appeared like the owner was who was working and to his credit was very kind. Oh and I should mention that the place was dead. Not a single other customer in the place. I asked where were all the customers and the employee said they were busy earlier and I just came at a time when it was slow. That should have been a big clue since it was 6pm on a Saturday night! So I ordered 2 california burgers, mine with no cheese mayo or thousand island since im lactose intolorant, and rushed home which is only a few minutes away. I unwrapped what I was hoping to be a big juicy burger and was disappointed to see it was basically a fast food burger. It was a thin frozen patty on a seseme bun although the toppings were fresh. Taste was what you would’ve expected. All things said I paid $ 17 for two burger combos. I probably won’t be back.

Had the beef gyro and jalapeño popper. Kids had mini corn dogs and fries. Tasted fresh(just as the name states). When this place was an a&w/long john silvers it always tastes a little dirty, this food tastes as if it was made with love! The raspberry sauce on the poppers was delightful, and the juke box keep my kids entertained as I gathered the strength to get up after having a full belly.
