Cottage needed a thorough cleaning. Mold and mildew everywhere. Food splattered on walls, fridge, window blinds. Wore flipflops in shower because the shower stall was so dirty. Air conditioner filled with dust and had a moldy smell. Bed and pillow very uncomfortable. Couch had no cushion left in it. Only good things: marina and No Name Pub.

Horrible customer service. We never even had the chance to make reservations because THEYDONOTRETURNPHONECALLS. I left 2 voice mails and left a message with a human. All I needed to know was whether they have availability in mid September and what kind of discounts they accept such as AAA. Well I’ll never know. They don’t call me back. Machine always comes on and they close at 4pm.

Second year at the OWB, just as good as the first. Cottages are clean, staff is very nice and helpful, they have all you need right there. And you have a nice place in No Name Pub in walking distance. We only have a small 14 foot whaler, so there is no heading out to the deep water, but within 3 – 7 miles you have many nice places to catch mangrove, yellow tail and other good eating fish. Being only 30 minutes from Key West, this is a great place at a good price if you are not worried about a 5 star place. Also great for the kids, many local places to take them.

Found this place purely by accident when looking for a reasonably priced stay near Key West. Off the path in Big Pine Key, home of cute Key Deer running all over the place.(drive slow as they are endangered). We booked the small cabin is what they call it but it is more a modular trailer. You have a kitchen, room and bathroom with cable television and a small dining area. Don’t expect brand new appliances but what you get is clean. You can bring your boat to dock or rent a charter for you and your buddies. Beer, bait, tackle and live shrimp for sale in the main office for your fishing excursion. Also a fuel tank to load up your float. If a avid fisher, all you need to bring is your basics. They even have a fillet station at your use. Suggestions is to bring towels even though they provide them, you might want some extras. The place is clean but might want to bring extra cleaning supplies if there for a week or so unless you pay additional for daily maid service. There is a washer/dryer in the office but saw folks prefer to wash and hang on the clothes lines behind the ‘cabins’. If you are non pretentious, there for the real experience of the area, it’s awesome. If you are expecting a dock front full service, flat screens in the room and critter control. this place is not for you. Leave it to those who can truly appreciate it! :) «No Name Bar» is a 30 second walk from the camp if you want to get your drink on and walk home. «Boondocks» is an awesome waterfront fun restaurant down the road and to the right towards KW:)

not a bad place to shack up if you are just exploring the keys and don’t mind a drive into Key West. It’s campy but kinda fun and nice, for a family trip. We piled a whole crazy extended family into two cabins and managed to survive(and have a good time for most of it) and have plenty of towels and outdoor space and cabin space and a pool and there are key deer everywhere that you are not supposed to feed even though they really seem to want bananas and the peels too. It borders on «no name key» and has a weird bar called«no name bar» with walls covered in dollar bills, literally covered.
