The food was very good but it took us 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our food. If you are willing to wait for the food… Great! It was excellent but the wait killed the experience.

Fantastic dinner in Big Sky hands down. Vietnamese Fried Rice or go for the daily special, it’s always worth it. Try the Lotus Tea!

Interesting small Thai restaurant in the Town Center cluster of shops. There isn’t much seating on the cozy ground floor and the upstairs seems to be some kind of lounge where you can also order food. Be sure to make a reservation. Behind the bar area, there are two guys cooking over woks. The waitress tells you that since everything is cooked on those two woks, the food comes out as it’s ready and not all together. What it really means is that when it’s crowded, there can be long waits between courses and between dishes in the same course. The food itself was good – better Thai than you would expect at a ski mountain, and in Montana, no less. If you have the time and inclination to sit back, Lotus Pad is well worth the visit.

Great food! Loved the lettuce wraps, yellow & green curry & cashew chicken. Our fav was Pad Thai! We will be back – portion size is huge so great to split – we have enough food for another meal.

Vietnamese crêpe was too thick, greasy and predominantly filled with sprouts; we couldn’t even find the scallops and pork belly. Fried duck pouches were saturated in grease. We ordered 4 different entrees, and 3 used the same sauce that was far too heavy on the soy. The flavor had been fried right out of the crispy beef; it tasted like potato chips dipped in soy sauce. Waste of money.

So sorry to have to write a bad review… but this was the absolute worst Thai food my husband or I have ever had. It was so terrible we had to throw it out… and we don’t throw out food… It was horrible. :(

This Thai place was ranked well so we tried it out. Most of our food was very good. We had cashew chicken and spicy beef(exact same sauce which we didn’t know), pad Thai, tofu lettuce wraps, duck pouches, chicken satay, and coconut soup. Each food item tasted fresh and flavorful but many flavored were more Chinese or Japanese than Thai. Also lots of salt in the soup and cashew/spicy beef. Big portions for sharing with everyone. Q

Super delicious! We went 2 nights in a row. The best seats are at the counter so you can watch the chefs ‘wok’ everything. I usually prefer mild, but I loved the red curry. The coconut soup was very flavorful. Great, friendly atmosphere!

This place is super small & gets really busy, got an order to go, was amazed how much it costed, they also tack on gratuity for«to-go» orders. Got home only to find out they completely messed up the order! If you charge these prices & a gratuity for«to-go» you better not mess up the order ! Place is overrated, will not be back !

Beware! What you see on Unilocal is not always what you get! They have an off season menu which is much shorter than the one on the website. Also take out takes preference over in house. We arrived at six. Got wine and appetizer quick. Got more wine. Got dinner at seven! A long time to wait when you see boxes of food go out the door. Good food, not so good service.

Amazing salmon with chef’s choice farm organic vegetables! We are back for the second time and will order again. I have been craving all week. The Tom Kha soup has a delicious broth underneath the coconut milk. Also delicious! We are a party of six this week so perhaps other guests will order different dishes to try. Highly recommend! My favorite restaurant when visiting Big Sky. Fresh vegetables with great flavor. The staff is friendly. Recommend making a reservation during weekend nights. Recommend the Chicken Satay, Wild Alaskan Stir Fry and Pad Thai. They can add more spice and substitute tofu in the dishes if you don’t want chicken, beef or fish. Take out available if you want a night in.

Very tasty! We got this to go. The drunken noodles were extremely tasty. The cashew chicken was a littler too drowned in soy but was still tasty!

Overall, very nice experience. Very fresh vegetables. Daily special(Pork Belly) had local, organic veggies. We started with the Larp(minced beef with spices and wrapped in lettuce) — very good. We tried two soups(Tom Ka Gai and Tom Yum) — both were excellent. Two people can split one soup easily. We boxed a lot for a second meal! Be sure to notify waiter or waitress on spice preference. Everything is served mild. For entrees we had the aforementioned Pork Belly in bean sauce and also the Red Curry wih local wagyu beef. The pork belly and beef were very good. The inside is cozy w an open kitchen, 4 or 5 bar stools and half a dozen tables. There is ample seating outside for Summer months. Full bar with a small but very well done wine list and some local craft beers. Service was good on this night but as it gets busier anything can happen… I sensed some newer folks working there but they did a nice job supporting one another. The two chefs worked well together also. Based on my research for the area, I’m thinking this is one of the better places in Big Sky but we shall see. $ 91 plus tip with three cocktails, three apps and two entrees — netted a second meal w leftovers! Go enjoy lotus — you will be pleased.

This is not your neighborhood Thai restaurant. It is the most amazing Thai fusion I’ve ever had! Local fresh and organic ingredients(hot peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, wagu beef, pork belly) set the foundation while innovative interpretations of Thai classic sauces finish each dish. East coast snobbery fully in tact this is the best fusion Thai I’ve ever had! * Quick recommendation — The restaurant is small so go early, make a reservation and arrive hungry. Family style so portions are large.

Have eaten here three times. Each time I’ve taken my leftovers to go, and forgot about them until cleaning out my fridge weeks later. If they were worthy of even three stars, I’d have eaten them the next day. The curries are heavy on fish sauce. The spring rolls are wonderful though, very fresh. Service is always good, and I do like the intimate feeling of dining in a small space.

First off, you have to know to make reservations. The place is tiny. A small bar and about 5 tables inside. There’s a bit of outdoor seating as well, but just get the reservations and save the wait because where the restaurant is located, there’s nowhere to really stand and wait except for your car. Ok, let’s get on to the food. We started off with spring rolls which were big, full of noodles and greens and served with a light chili sauce. A nice bright start to the meal. I ordered the beef pad thai and my hubby had the special which was a salmon stir-fried with vegetables. We shared plates and both were very yummy. The portions were more than generous. The salmon tasted fresh and the vegetables were cooked just right: warm on the outside and crispy on the inside. Everything tasted as if they had just harvested it that morning. Hubby opted for the brown rice which was tender and flavorful. His meal had slightly more heat than mine, but not to the full potential available. We’re just a little wimpy when it comes to heat, so we tend to order things on the mild side. But you do have the option to up the spices so make sure to ask for some extra spice if you’re so inclined. The waitress was very friendly and very attentive throughout the meal. The only thing that brought it down from a 5 star to a 4 star with these fried noodles that were served as a garnish on the salmon dish. Some were cooked properly, some were partially cooked, and others were near to raw. I like the rule that if you’re going to put something on a plate it should be edible, and these for the most part were not. Otherwise a great place to eat while up in Big Sky!!!
