The food was fantastic and our waitress was wonderful! Love to see the eclectic food choices for adults — while still having a great kids menu. The drink menu was just as delicious!

Another visit to Olive B’s — another enjoyable dinner. This time, Mushrooms Gratinee and Duck with Rösti and Caraway Sauerkraut were most enjoyable. My companions enjoyed Pheasant and Duckling. Seaweed with squid, compliments of the chef, got mixed votes: I would eat it every day, while the gentlemen in our group refused to even touch it. Eggplant Rollatini looked delicious also, will definitely try it next time.

This place was amazing! My boyfriend and I ate here last night and it was marvelous. Most of the food is delectable. The drinks on that night wdre stiff(good in my book) The only item we werent huge fans of was the calamari. It was very rubbery. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, but I can see the place getting crowded and not being great. We will or sure return.

One of the specials intrigued me. Nantucket swordfish. It came with saffron rice and a curry. I started with an outstanding spinach salad. The swordfish, rice & sauce made for one of the best meals ever. The staff is excellent. Come early to a avoid potential crowds as this relatively new place becomes better known.

We have been coming to dinner at Olive B’s for the past 5 years when we are in town for both summer and winter. Food and service are consistently GREAT, presentation top notch, and alway very BUSY! But, this February we found out the secret. Come for a late lunch. The restaurant was quiet, food as always was fresh and delicious. My daughter said the grilled cheese was the best she’d ever eaten. I had the chicken chili with a touch a sweet and spicy at the same time. The side chopped salad is one of my favorites! It was the perfect amount of food, not huge portions, but enough to be very filling. Karli was SO sweet with my teenage daughter and her friend. She provided the BEST service during a time that they were probably trying to transition from lunch to dinner.

I ordered the ribeye after 3 long days of skiing. It was cooked perfectly and really delicious. My husband had the seafood chowder and caesar salad, and it was outstanding. They also made me the most wonderful drink at the bar. If you are in the Big Sky area, this restaurant is a must. Do it.

The food is pretty tasty, but the portions are quite small.(See photo I posted showing chilli bowl was only filled up about a half inch). I also ordered a tenderloin, which was actually 3 scraps of meat. I ordered it at «medium». 2 of the scraps came out more than well-done, and a 3rd piece was rare. Drink prices are ambitious, even for a Resort-Town. $ 16 for a Manhattan.

13 of us, from all over the states, to celebrate an 80th birthday. Wonderful food all around. My Aunt had a Brie Brûlée as an appetizer that was to die for. @ $ 1,400 for all with 5 bottles of very decent wine included.

All I can say is wow! Incredible food, service and atmosphere. A varied menu that offers selections of unique cuisine. The Buffalo Wellington was outstanding. When in Big Sky, visit this establishment. You will not be disappointed. Reservations are a must!

This place was GREAT. Food, service, everything was spot on. I was here for a business dinner, and our party staggered in a bit. The waitress had no problem with this and happily took care of those who were there until everyone had finally arrived. We took advantage of several of the specials, 3 of us ordering the bison short ribs, 1 person having the steak special. All the entrees were excellent. The short ribs were served with mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots. 2 members of the party split a salad and the calamari appetizer as their meal. Someone else had the fried scallops. That was something none of us had seen before. It wasn’t the best thing on the menu– but unique! For dessert I had the key lime huckleberry pie! It was so good, a fun regional take on an American Classic. Others ordered the chocolate cake dessert, which was enormous and split several ways. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a nice meal in Big Sky.

Wow! Best meal I had in a restaurant in years. Some of the dishes include crabcakes, mushrooms, French onion soup, and beef tenderloin. Amazing food!

We came here 3 times on our trip as there aren’t too many places open in the summer. One time for lunch and two dinners Both dinner evenings were spectacular. Everything we ordered was great. The truffle mashed potatoes are dangerously good. The lunch we ordered was a little disappointing. The lamb gyro was super tasty. I ordered the wrap, it was pretty average and our fries weren’t great. The staff are extremely friendly and work hard! Overall great experience, definitely dine here over dinner.

This was a gem of a find in Big Sky. On our last night in town, we did a search for a good dinner and more specifically, Bison. Well, we got what we were looking for and so much more. This place, although not cheap, was easily one of the best meals I have ever had. Amazing Salmon, and the Bison Wellington was absolutely mouthwatering and delectable. TOPNOTCH. If you are in Big Sky and looking for a nice dinner out, this place is your best bet. Word of warning — This place(apparently) books up fast with reservations. As they have limited seating, we were asked the awkward question upon our arrival(withOUT a reservation), of how long we were planning on staying. The hostess was very polite and sweet about it, but I thought it was a little inappropriate. Thats the risk you run when operating a restaurant, and you manage it. It doesn’t surprise me that other patrons /reviewers were put off by being asked to leave to free up a table for a reservation. That’s obscene and inconsiderate. Luckily, we didn’t have that experience, however we got the preemptive inquisition that was a bit awkward. They should really take these concerns under consideration, and reconsider their approach to walk-in patrons.(ex — Drop the questioning and just seat them in the bar area if seating them in the dining room runs the possible risk of interfering with reservations– they will never know the difference. plus no ones at the bar anyway. Keep the risk management to yourself. No body wants to know or decide on a time limit for their meal).

Always Top Drawer! As Big Sky residents we were delighted to see Olive B’s open and even happier when it has proved to be a reliably excellent choice for a classy, delicious, night out. It’s always safe to recommend Olive B’s to visitors: they are never disappointed. Our last visit, party of four, was on Valentine’s Day. My New Zealand Lamb Chops were exquisite and my husband was delighted with his Bison Wellington, cooked to perfection. Our shared Maryland Crab Cakes fell a bit short, but we spent 36 years living in Maryland and that’s a pretty hard act to follow! Our server worked diligently to customize an order to suit a member of our group with multiple food allergies with great success. Our only disappointment was having no room for dessert!

I was easily able to make a reservation for 2 on Saturday for an 8pm dinner. This Big Sky Bistro was outstanding! We arrived 15 min early and grabbed a drink at the bar. I was pleased to see their specialty drink menu and enjoyed my first martini of the week in Montana! From the hostess and bartender to server and the support staff everyone was very friendly and attentive. We were promptly seated at 8pm. We appreciated the small menu that still had a lot of variety; meat, seafood, and pasta. I ordered the Bison Wellington, which was perfectly prepared at medium rare. My brother ordered the Veal Parmigiana which more than satisfied his Italian craving! We saved the best for last with the decadent Banana Bread and ice cream with caramel sauce. Olive B’s delivered flawless service and outstanding food. I wish I was local so I could go back :)

Olive B’s is a fifteen minute drive from the Big Sky Mountain Village. This is a small restaurant with a small kitchen that you can see from your table. Most of the restaurants in Big Sky are Wild Game /Steak Houses. A third of OB’s menu focuses on fish and seafood and the other 8 entrees include a good variety of other meats, not all regional. There is also a tofu dish for vegetarians. I started with an off-the-menu seafood chowder as an appetizer. The chowder was delicious, and almost a meal in itself. Prior to the meal, the chef sent a delicious sampling of garlic hummus to everyone at our table. For the main course, I had the venison chops, which appeared to be the only wild game on the menu. The venison was perfectly prepared and was served with a tasty huckleberry/port wine sauce. The entrée came with truffle mashed potatoes and asparagus. For dessert, I ordered the banana bread pudding. It came with a scoop of ice cream and was very good. The wine that we had went well with the meal. OBs offers a good selection of wines. OBs puts emphasis on food presentation, and each of the dishes in my group was arranged in an artistic manner. We didn’t see much of this at the other restaurants in Big Sky. I could not eat the entire meal. Quantities were large, and prices were reasonable. Service was good… glasses refilled, questions answered, tips given and takeout boxes offered, At the time of this review, OBs has a high rating on Unilocal.OBs lives up to the hype. Wonderful meal.
