Augusta Subs & Salads

Cant go wrong with the Chicken Bites or any of the Hot Subs. 5 out of 5 all day. The explosion is my favorite. I get the Golden sauce on the side that way the sub isnt to Soggy. Customer service is fast and respectable.

I had been reading all the rave reviews this place gets and unfortunately was pretty disappointed.
The chicken bites, while juicy and well cooked, where bland, no seasoning, not even salt and pepper. You would expect a place called «The Chicken Shack» to have a tasty chicken. Not so.
My wife and I also got a chicken cutlet sub, which was just more flavorless chicken bites on a sub roll with two day old lettuce.
Best thing about this place was the rubber chicken necklace my daughter just had to have. At least we had a laugh.
Also … If you are hoping to try their «amazing» soups and salad bar. Don’t go on a Sunday … They don’t do that on Sunday.
Too bad. I really had higher hopes for this place

Bought a salad today and it cost almost $ 17. $ 6.99 a pound, I understand the price no problem. Because I use to live at the house adjacent to them about 12 years ago and frequently bought their per pound salad. Back then a salad for 2 people was about $ 12. I was recently at wegmans in burlington and it cost $ 48 for 2 person salad bar… Yes we bought heavy items like buffalo Mac n cheese, and chic wings. I get it, the price per pound salad. But today at Augusta the lady that rang up my order was less than pleasant. She appeared to be an Oscar the grouch type of individual. I’m so mindful to even have thought, «oh maybe the lady lost her spouse and is forced to work in order to make ends meet»… But in all actuality, I work my butt off as well and have no spouse, and I don’t care what your grouchy excuse is. I’d rather pay $ 48 at wegmans where it means a pleasant customer service person bagging my expensive salad. When I spend my hard earned money with no spouse helping support my butt, the customer service better be stellar! I’m giving a 4 star, because of for food quality, it would be a 5 plus plus star if the customer service I encountered today wasn’t so grouchy!

Chicken cordon bleu sub is legit. It has supreme sauce, so that’s all that needs to be said. I also got a 10 piece and the buffalo sauce. It’s not your traditional neon orange buffalo sauce. It’s mixed with tomato sauce. This is a good thing. I will go back.

Been here a few times. Admittedly, the place looks a little sketchy but the chicken bites are amazing. Subs are very good too.

THE best chicken in the entire world. Chicken truck is the highlight of my week. Chipotle mayo is a gift from God! Explosion hits home hard.

Amazing Chicken — very flavorful. Good Salad Bar.

Their signature subs like the explosion are great as well as their chicken bites deserve the reputation it receives.
Service is pretty fast depending on what you order, especially considering the lunch run with the line out the door. You won’t spend more than 15 minutes here.
It’s a pickup place and there are no tables to sit at, so just be prepared.
Salad bar has a lot of variety and the soup selection is great as well.
Non signature subs leave a lot to be desired in terms of flavor, but what they lack in taste they make up for in price and portion size.

Their chicken bites are the best! Great dipping sauces! Their subs are just okay. Nothing special. I think their sub rolls are too small. 1 out of 3 subs I got was good. Not much difference in size for a small sub and a large sub.

I got chicken and fries off the chicken truck for this place and my stomach was killing me within 15 minutes, and it lasted all day and night. I was not impressed with the taste either. The chicken bites where not bites they took 3 – 4 bites, thick and a yucky texture. The fries where just so-​so I could have gotten the same fries anywhere in town. It was over 10 dollars, I will not be going back.

Love coming here for lunch!!! Their chicken bites are extremely good. Chicken bites are fried pieces of battered chicken. $ 7.25 for 10 pieces one 1 sauce. Buffalo are good if you like spicy foods.
It is a fast food place that sells chicken, subs, with a salad bar. No seating inside but outside you can sit in their picnic tables. They also share their building with a homemade ice cream shop! Great way to enjoy the weather and lunch!

The explosion sub is every stoner’s dream. Really, ’nuff said. I work in the area and have been known to go and grab one of these glorious concoctions just for the sole purpose of bringing it home to enjoy, uh, recreationally.

Started a new job in the area and this place has great reviews. Sadly, I can’t see why.
To start, the guy on the phone clearly hated life, he maybe muttered all of 2 words. Bad customer service is a huge pet peeve of mine. (minus one star).
Let’s get to the food:
Chicken Bites — first thought was: flavorless. literally tasted like breaded air. some of the pieces had juicy chicken inside but most were just… bleh. (minus one star).
Tuna Sub — meh, not a lot of flavor there either. has celery in it. to me celery is always a sign of mediocre tuna… at least they didn’t over pepper it like so many places do. (still, minus one star).
Roast Beef Sub — husband said was ‘just ok’.
Mozzarella Sticks — best part of the meal and they were average at that.
Overall an underwhelming experience. Maybe we caught them on an off night?

This nice little small market also has some really delicious subs and soups. Their chicken is very tender and tasty. I always find myself getting something with chicken in it. I have been here many many times and I was never too disappointed with the food I got. Maybe a couple times I wasn’t impressed, but usually everything is great. I’d definitely recommend coming here for lunch and getting a chicken sub. You won’t be disappointed. On a very important side note, this place doesn’t cut the sub for you unless you ask. It’s very unusual. You’d think that it would be the other way around, but I guess not.

The chicken bites and salad bar are absolutely killer! Love the different dipping sauces. GET SOME!

Love the salad bar! Great chicken salad. All the chicken is fantastic.
Long line during lunch hours but it moves quickly.
Good prices
Takeout only, no indoor seating.
Another plus is that Orchard Farm ice cream is in the same building… lunch and dessert.

This is the best place ever, I’m not even kidding. You get so much food for so cheap it’s so good and the salad bar is poppin. Get the gold sauce and Cajun sauce, it’s addicting I can’t stop.

I can’t say enough how much I love this place! It’s always busy at lunchtime because the food is so yummy! The chicken bites are a must. The salad bar has excellent choices and is always high-​quality: fresh fruit, big pieces of tasty grilled chicken, thick slices of turkey, potato salad… Yumm. The ladies that work the cash registers are always nice and get you out quickly. Love Augusta Subs!

Hidden gem in Billerica. Stopped in for a chicken bacon ranch sub. Order a small, good size for a small, big chunks of chicken smothered in ranch, so much ranch that half the bun was covered (not complaining, the messier the better.). Just one suggestion, please cut the subs in half.

HOLY CRAP! Best sub I’ve ever had in my life. I work in the Burlington area and I thought the best place to go was Sammy’s Deli but boy was I wrong. When I got there, there was a line of 20 people and I knew that this place was the place to be. Ordered the special they had on the board: Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese sub. It was amazing, and probably a heart attack, but who cares. Definitely coming back!!!

I just came away from my second visit to Augusta’s for lunch today. It is the chicken shack for sure.
Staff always friendly, and the food is fresh, fresh, and yeah it’s fresh. None of that Subway nonsense at this place.
Got the large chicken bomb sub and it sent me directly into food coma territory today.

Good sandwich here… very nice staff operating a very clean establishment. Will be back to explore the menu some more.
