Pumpkin ice cream in the fall tastes like Pumpkin Cream Cheese Pie on Thanksgiving– creamy with just enough sweet. Really good. Prices are cheapest around. I went to Schoolhouse Ice Cream last month in Burlington and their prices are much much higher. Service is always top notch– all the employees are very nice and quick to offer suggestions when someone in my family doesn’t know what to order(which is never me)! They always have a smile on their face and genuinely seem happy to be working. Orchard Hill is a great, hometown, «mom and pop» ice cream stand. No frills– just good, homemade ice cream with great prices in a clean, happy environment.

This is the best ice cream around, hands down. Just the texture, temperature served at and flavor is everything we want. Only place I’ve had it this good before is the VT Ben/Jerry’s factory.

Delicious ice cream, best in the area! Kiddie size is very small, small size is perfect for me. Ice cream is very creamy Lots of flavors in hard ice cream, soft serve and frozen yogurt. New picnic tables/area outside. Much nicer and cleaner than previous years… no more bees! Couple tables indoors too Would give it 5 stars if there were more tables indoors and a bathroom.

Great service! This stand is always packed and I’ve found the service to move very quickly considering. The employees never stop moving– I get dizzy watching them! The small wait is worth it. Great ice cream and still pretty cheap considering how expensive everything is these days.

Great ice cream, great service, huge portions! The kids love the place. Picnic tables outside makes it a bit more fun as well. Yummy!

There were 6 people In front of us and we found the service to be extremely Slow, at the end of that we found the ice cream to be ok, at best

Good God this place has gone down hill. Ice cream is still delicious but someone needs to teach these girls the difference between peanut butter cups and reeses pieces. If I pay $ 20 for ice cream I should walk away with what I want… not attitude from the teenage employees. Will not be going back.

Who doesn’t love ice cream? My kids love it. I love it. My wife loves it. But on my first trip here l got a big long hair right in the middle of my cake batter ice cream, literally from when it was made and right while biting into it the first time right in front of the counter!!! Yuck. Grouchy lady behind the counter didn’t seem to care and wasn’t even happy that we were there in the first place despite the place being empty on a Saturday mid day. Skip this place, drive an extra five minutes to Bedford farms!

I love the soft serve on the East Coast… My in-laws live close-by so we come here a few times during our visits. It’s such a treat. I like the twist(vanilla/chocolate)… A small is only $ 2.05! And it definitely seems like more than just a ‘small’. Oh, and this is cash-only. I haven’t tried anything other than soft serve; but they do have regular ice cream, frozen yogurt, sundaes, floats, etc. My review is based on the soft serve only. They have some picnic benches set-up outside and a large parking lot. We usually eat our soft serve in/around the car. This is something I look forward to whenever we visit.

I’ve been coming here as long as I can remember. It’s in the same lot as a great local farmstand, so it’s a perfect stop for fresh vegetables and some ice cream. The ice cream is from Richardson’s(aka the best in Massachusetts) which is convenient since the Richardson’s hub is about an hour drive away. Prices are totally reasonable and the mostly high school staff are generally pleasant. A convenient location for a local treasure — I highly recommend Orchard Hill.

Went to orchard hill last Sunday with a group of friends. All the ice creams we ordered were good. I took a banana split ice cream which was very good and the quantity was huge. Good place for ice-cream if you are in Billerica.

Orchard Hill’s ice cream is really good. I confirm… they use Richardson’s Ice Cream, which their reputation precedes itself. For the price… and the quality of the ice cream you’re getting, you really can’t go wrong stopping in here. They are seasonal, but they open pretty open in the spring season and stay open long into the fall. Augusta Market, aka Chicken Shack, is right next door… so for a lunchtime bite to eat and quick dessert, this place is great. Check out my Augusta Market’s review: Close to a 5-star…but I can’t quite say«As Good as it Gets»… CASHONLY.

Great ice cream place! We have tried alot of ice cream places in the area and they are clearly the best. They have a ton of hard and soft ice cream choices. They are also very cheap compared to some of the other establishments. A++!

Cheap, really really good ice cream(Richardsons ice cream to be precise), cheap toppings, cheap frappes(milkshakes), and friendly service. And, its right next to a great sub shop. How could you go wrong?! I worked here last summer and I have no complaints! This place is great! If you’re in Billerica from 12 to 10 anyday from march to october 31st try it out!!!
