Thank you Garrisons for catering so splendidly each and every time to our Birthday crew. I have never had a bad meal there and the service is fantastic. Thank you so much to the owner /​managers for helping us pull off our Bday celebration for our friend, Everything worked perfectly even on a busy busy Saturday night. The wait staff hustles and bustles throughout the lounge and the dinning area. The music u guys offer is equally as fun and fantastic and we are becoming fast groupies. Will be back to check out my other favorite Stump Trivia. A hidden Gem in the Suburbs for sure! Thanks again for everything! One suggestion however is there any chance being that we were all separate people to next time have separate checks. It gets impossible to keep track of what everyone ate and drank and there is always one person trying to figure out separate tips and tax and that ends up being me and I am awful in math have to rely on my trusty phone calculator. Maybe next time we can do it in groups of four to break things up?

Had lunch here at the bar and was served by Vanessa she makes one hell of a martini! They also have the best Caesar salad! Service was fast and friendly we will definitely be back when she’s working the bar!

I’ve never had a bad meal here. Ever.
Let’s start with the service: the bar is generally quite busy, so prepare to wait. Also, because the food is so phenomenal, prepare to wait 20 – 30 minutes for a table on the weekends — the place can get packed. The lounge is loud however, it’s my favorite spot to sit with my husband. They bring you the most amazing warm bread that has this parmesan coating on it — you’re going to want, like, 3 baskets. My husband’s favorite thing here is «The Garrison.» Which is just a huge burger that also has corned beef, turkey, bacon, & a poached egg. It’s great. We both love the steak tips, which melt in your mouth. Amazing.
We’ve had the Chicken Parm: better than any Italian Restaurant that I’ve been to.

My favorite item on the menu is the Prime Rib. It’s spectacular (so is the mashed potatoes & the sweet potato fries).
This place is comfort food HEAVEN. It’s extremely reasonable as far as price — probably cheaper than anywhere you’ve gone. The drinks are fantastic: I even asked the owner if he’d consider having a craft cider on the menu, and they’ve been carrying it ever since. The service is great, although be patient on a weekend night: they’re busy, come hungry, & don’t be in a rush. This place is great for families, work parties, girl’s night out, or date nights. My husband and I prefer this place over any other restaurant within a 20+ mile radius. (And I used to be in the restaurant business).
Well, done. This will remain our favorite spot.

The staff is always amazing– bartenders Vanessa and LeAnn especially! The baked haddock is our favorite. The balsamic steak tips are on special occasionally and are delicious.

Prime rib was incredible a little pricey, but well worth it. I will likely go back when I am in Billerica again.

This is my family’s «we’re having a get together with your grandparents» go to place and I sometimes wish it wasn’t.
Just something with the food has never really caught my eyes. Its not terrible, no but everything I’ve gotten left much to be desired. The staff is also a bit on the slow side but that’s fine. They also have live music and the band is always universally awful.
Once again, this is a Billerica place. But I’ve never cared for it.

Excellent food, service, and ambience. A bit pricey but well worth it.

For a place with several burgers on the menu, you should be able to cook them to order. Ordered a medium rare burger and got a well done one. My daughter had a dentist appt. next door so didn’t have time to send it back. Kaylan B was our server she did her job well. From the owners to the managers to the cooks. They all decided it was OK to send bad food out to the customer!

In all honesty, I only went to this place because I mistook it for another restaurant of a similar name (Grassfields). It wasn’t until I signed on to write this review that I realized I was at a completely different and unaffiliated restaurant hahaha By the way Grassfields is a sister restaurant to Jimmy’s Steer House and if you want to try THE best prime rib, stuffed shrimp, and mouth watering rice pilaf, GO THERE! Don’t go here. I went here for lunch because I was craving the aforementioned. The prime rib was ok. It needed more seasoning to be honest. The stuffed shrimp was sad and the rice pilaf was bland and boring and rivaled Uncle Ben’s boxed rice. The worse part of my lunch was that they charged me full dinner price so my meal including tip was $ 35. The exact meal at Jimmy’s Steer House would have cost me 25 bucks and it wouldn’t tasted a million times better. The only positive thing I have to say about this experience was that my waitress/​bartender was super nice and the food came out really fast.

Love this place! Great fish, chicken wings etc and the friendliest bar tenders and wait staff around! Bands on the weekend are a blast. Just get there early

The fillet we were served was deffanitally not filet mignon. Friendly service clean appearance. Disappointed

Garrisons. Good olé Garrisons. It’s not a horrible place. The food isn’t the best but I’ve hard worse. The staff is very friendly, the main dining rooming is clean, however the men’s room is nasty. Tiles missing off the walls and weird stains on the floor. Even when it’s dead it seems to take too long to get the food, but that’s okay. I still come here once a week. There isn’t really anything better in Billerica then this place. The 99 makes me piss out of my ass, so I’d rather come here.

Excellent restaurant. Food cooked perfectly! Prime Rib sandwich was delicious. Sweet potato fries were hot and crisp. Service was prompt and friendly.

Food is good but on the pricey side. Service is good and they are very friendly. i was just there a couple of night ago. I had the chicken broccoli sauté. The best in town! My husband had the swordfish special which was very tasty and fresh. For the price of the meal you should get a salad included in the price. Also get both potato and veggie. I like garrisons because it is closed by and a quick meal.

Yesterday was the first day I have ever been there. What impressed me the most at the beginning was the huge handicap ramp they had. I was able to ride my hoveround right up to the front door where somebody was waiting to open the door for me. I ordered the 16 ounce prime rib, it was cooked right but it was very chewy and not the least bit tender. I had the waitress bring me another knife. But I was unable to eat it. The baked potato tasted like it had been sitting around for a while. The service however was excellent, she packaged up my lunch so i could take it with me. I did not mention the problems i had with the Prime Rib. I will probably go back there again but i will never get the prime rib again.

GARRISONS has improved itself the food is amazing
and the service was outstsnding. Rarely would I rate a resturant this high but they actually impressed.
I highly recommend you check it out.

HUGE IMPROVEMENT: the first time I went to Garrison’s I can say it was pretty terrible. However, I gave them a second chance after 2 years and WOW… much better! I had the Grilled Bacon Turkey Sandwich and it was perfection. Revisited another time with my boyfriend and he had the Steak Tips and I had the Bayou Burger and we both were raving about how good it was. If you had a bad experience with this restaurant in the past, I recommend trying it again — don’t know what changes but something did!

When they have it available… the prime rib is excellent. Unfortunately there seems to be increasing instances of not having any available. Approximately a month ago my wife and I went to Garrisons on a Friday night between 6:30 — 7:00 pm. We asked for prime rib but we’re told they were out. How can you be out of prime rib at the very beginning of a weekend? We spoke to the owner, asked him why, and he said «higher demand than usual». He also seemed to make light of the situation.
Last week we went again, this time on a Saturday at 7:00 pm. Again we asked for prime rib, and again we were told they were out. I don’t know if this is a sign of poor management, disinterest in customer demand, or lack of supply.
My opinion is that the rest of the menu is mediocre, but the prime rib competes with the best restaurants in the state. Too bad Garrison’s doesn’t seem to be managing their demand well, and is certainly likely to lose us as customers. Let’s hope the owner does a better job ensuring his best entrée is available on popular weekend nights.

Grabbed a quick lunch here… not a bad place, but not outstanding either. The service was good and we were well taken care of.
I ordered a portabello melt that was pretty good and the sweet potato fries were really good. The cream of crab soup was a bit watery, but was ok. I prefer a thicker soup.
Not a bad spot for a quick meal, especially if you’re just driving through and want something inexpensive with options for everyone.
