Love love love it here. Everyone is so friendly, the food is fantastic. I’ve been coming here for 10 years and it has never disappointed. If your looking for something that’s comfortable and friendly with top notch food you should definitely give TJ’s a try.

We went in for lunch with my in laws and our 2 kids over the summer. Service was great friendly, funny and prompt. Décor could use some updating but I didn’t expect much anyway it’s mostly a bar feel. The food was really good I got a burger that was so good perfectly cooked and fresh ground beef. My husband got a special buffalo chicken mac and cheese that he really liked.

I think the place is probably hopping at night with a large friendly bar, but we were the only customers there for lunch. Not horrible, but nothing special either.

Steak tips = Yum! Go check out TJ Callahans in Tewksbury if you have not been there before. They have a nice staff and the best steak tips around. When there I would say try the Shepard pie it is on par or above the other restaurants around. They have live entertainment most nights of the week and special performances for St. Patrick’s day and other times through the year. Karaōke and Live bands are what keep this place rocking.

For those of us that travel on business, and prefer the neighborhood bars with talented cooks, this is the place. Nothing fancy, great regular customers who are friendly and welcoming. I had the special last night, seafood potpie. It was excellent, all the food is enhanced to take it out of the ordinary bar food. The prices are very reasonable. Not a place you would take a frist date to try and impress her, but a great place to take her on a Saturday afternoon for a relaxing lunch or dinner.

Probably the worst food in the history of mankind, or at least Tewksbury, and Tewksbury has a lot of bad restaurants.

Good food, great owners and always a fun crowd… Absolutely above average bar food with some good hearty meals can be had here. I think the main bar could use a few more or at least slightly larger tv’s you can still enjoy watching the game here. As far as the owners go D & D are as awesome as can be ! I have no ties to this place or these people other than I truly enjoy going there… So bring your appetite your thirst and your A game cause once you sit down your in for a good time !!!

Places like this make me realize I have a stick up my ass. This pub looks like a place that should be on tv for a bar rescue show — everything is dated from the pink Formica tables to the mismatched wine glasses. They had a football game on the tv’s but I swear if they didn’t have the game on — they would be blasting Journey songs. As I mentioned in my tip — they have red & white wine. Don’t ask for Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Pouilly Fuissé or Semillion — they have red or white. They don’t do craft beers and the most exotic thing I saw was Amstel. All of their food is fried — it is now 10pm and I have to go run for two hours in the hotel gym to just attempt to burn off some of the calories. The service, however, was extraordinary! Our bartender/waiter was wonderful! He had a great personality and he needed it to put up with us. He was delightful & did everything to make us happy. I wish I could give this place a few more stars — but it’s the stick… It prevents me from giving it anything higher than 2. I’m spoiled by the great pubs in Philly, Baltimore &NYC with their extensive menus and fully stocked bars — I’m sorry Tewksbury, you have an amazing bartender, but that’s about it.

The place is huge. It has a nice function hall off to the side. The buffalo fingers have a nice sweet tangy sauce. I love them! The bands are OK and it’s mostly clean. They pull in a good crowd, mostly regulars. I pop in once and a while.

Was very disappointed. Sat at the bar and the bartender did not have a clue. My White Russian was pretty much all milk for $ 8.50. Little kids were at the bar and behind the bar. When I checked on where our lunch was(40 minutes later) she looked at us, went into the kitchen and told us they hadn’t even started making it. A simple chicken sandwich and buffalo mac and cheese. She never even brought out my side salad but the person beside me(who came in after us) got hers right away Suffice it to say we won’t be back!!!

Friendly atmosphere, live music and a super friendly staff. Nothing fancy but a fun time none the less! The beer is cheap and its a fun place to stop in for a few drinks if you are in Tewksbury. A nice alternative to the other bars in town that charge you to get in just to hear some mediocre cover band!

I love TJ Callahan’s! They have an amazing menu, not your every day pub food, I’m talking home made everything! Their bartenders are attentive and fun to be around. Never mind good to look at! Its by far the best place in town on Wednesday nights for karaōke!

I’m a big fan of T.J. Callahan’s. We seem to keep coming here constantly for lunch, dinner and even brunch on the weekends. This is a big time«Towney» bar with Keno and cheap beers on tap. However, unlike your dads or grandfathers townie bar of the past, you won’t find bowls of stale nuts or year-old pickled eggs being served by grouchy old guys named«Red». This place actually dishes out some very good bar food and has a very friendly staff. I recommend T.J.‘s for a real hot lunch with prices that rival the fast food burger places. I recommend trying all of their regular menu items for dinner including the beef stew, sheppards pie and fish & chips and I also recommend their various benedicts or other tasty dishes for breakfast/brunch. There are a lot of breakfast places up and down this stretch of Route 38 but in my opinion T.J.‘s has the best Irish Benedict.
