There is nothing wrong with this place but other than a last call stop from Tewksbury to Lowell not much stands out. I’ll try to go by for dinner and update my review based on the food but as of now they are an average establishment in my view.

This is a love-​it-​or-​hate-​it place. Theres really no in between. I can’t get past the slight aroma of urinal cake that fills my nostrils every time I go in there. It does seem to somehow get away with staying open later than every other bar in the area, which is good if you need that one more but also invites a lot of people who could have probably done without one more. I’ve had two friends on two separate occasions get their cars smashed onto being parked here (the lot as has been mentioned is tiny) so beware.

OMG… worst dive ever!!! Every tap out except for Guinnes and that tasted old and nasty. Dead on a saturday night and freezing cold too! Dont think they paid the heating bill either! Freezing cold. Bartender has coat, gloves and hat on! Couple just came in and asked for red wine and were told they dont have any… really? Stay away!!!

Cons:
Barely any parking and apparently even though the lot next door is just closed businesses, they are towing cars now.
Staff isn’t super friendly.
There is barely anything left on tap by the end of the night.
Pros:
They are (kinda) open until 2. They do last call around 1:15 so if you head there right when the bars in Tewksbury close, you can make it for one drink, but see list of cons above, there usually isn’t much left on tap.
There is usually a pretty fun crowd.
I’m not sure the pro’s outweigh the cons but if you are looking for a place to grab one more drink after 1, this is pretty much the only option!

Medford, MA
Kilkenny is one of my favorite spots in Lowell! Whether I go for a casual after work drink or hang out there and party with friends on the weekends, I always have a good time there. Not only does it have great music and a friendly staff but the drinks are cheap and they even have some pretty awesome events (especially St. Patty’s day)… I would recommend Kilkenny to anyone looking for a good olé local pub!

Great local pub, cheap beer, and good people! One of my favorite spots in Lowell to grab a beer and play some music on the jukebox! St. Patricks day and other events are always a blast with great live music and a good crowd!
If your in the area, def stop by for some good grub, cold beer, and good company!

After trying to move up the stars on this place… it is dead… the bartenders are shy, the prices are fine, the tvs are distant from the bar… over all St. Patrick’s Day and some other events are fine but for the rest it has lost its edge as a neighborhood Pub
