I went there for lunch today and and it was not very good. I ordered an ice tea and got an ice coffee. I told this to waitress and she replied that it was ice tea not ice coffee. I asked her to get me another and i ended up with iced coffee again. Did they put ice coffee in the iced tea pitcher maybe??? I did not feel like going thru another spiel of it is ice coffee and my food soon arrived. The tuna club was ok, but the bread was toasted so it was almost burnt. The fries were frozen string fries and served luke warm. After the waitress brought my meh food I did not see here again until I was done and she brought the check to me.

Hey, I think i’m pretty happy with this joint. So the service was at 0830 on a Sunday. 5 staff members and a full restaurant of patrons. The waitstaff was on-it with quick service and attentive detail(brought crayons and stuff for the kiddo). The food was UNBELIEVABLYFAST, but everything seemed to be cooked right. The only suggestion I would have is that for Benedict(s), the english muffin be toasted before other items are layered on top. Cost here is a bit over-the-top and probably about 40% higher than a standard breakfast place. Was 52.00 for four plus a kiddo. Atmosphere was loud. Proportions were good, not like they threw potatoes at the plate for volume. Overall, I’d go back for the well-done hash and cooked-right eggs. Great job for the short-order fan.

Avoid this place if you don’t want to spend an hour+ on breakfast. Went here on a Sunday morning around 9:30am. Walking in, we thought a packed(though fairly small) dining area and a wait for a table was a good sign. We only waited a few minutes before a table opened up. The server came over and didn’t greet us as she set the table, just asked what we wanted for a drink. We ordered coffee and in an effort to friendly up to her, my fiancé asked her what she thought the best thing on the menu was. «I don’t eat breakfast» was her response. Okay… at least say what your customers like then. She came back with our drinks and we ordered what we wanted. About 50 minutes later, hungry and wanting to get on with our day, we started getting antsy and irritated, and our server had only come back once to fill our coffee(after we asked for it). Finally after having been there for an hour our food arrived. How was it? Fine. My eggs were cooked wrong but I didn’t want to wait for them to be remade. Overall, not at all worth the time you give up from your day to eat there!

Popular breakfast place in Billerica. The menu is pretty big with the breakfast staples. The portions are a good size. You definitely don’t leave there hungry. Coffee is very good. They have various flavored iced coffee and they even have a drive through. The service is good and fast and the prices are very reasonable. Overall, a great spot for breakfast.

Can’t find an online menu for this place, so I stopped by and ordered off the breakfast menu. Quick service and average portions. BUT the next visit there for breakfast I ordered the same thing without asking for the menu. I got the same plate and same portions… but not the same price… upcharge? No formal bill, no meal tax. Just items scribbled on scratch paper with a total amount circled.

Terrible service. Low quality food. Several parties placed orders and received food after we had. Had to remind the server we were still waiting. When our food finally dropped, egg whites were still runny and potatoes were very stiff. Gave it a shot, but will have to go back to Belly Buster. Nice location, but nothing else to back it up.

My oh my oh my, where to begin. The Riverview Restaurant, known by locals simply as «The Bomb dot nom» is a classically-styled breakfast eatery specializing in only the finest eggs benedict, pancakes, and world famous iced coffee. I came here this morning for the third time and it was simply phenomenal. I got the strawberry pancakes with a side of corned beef hash and my girlfriend got the sausage benedict. Both arrived promptly with wonderful service, shortly after our large iced coffees(which are to die for). The Riverview Restaurant is an inexpensive, consistent, and familiar diner with all the comfort and warmth you would expect from a small town restaurant.

Best iced coffee in town. The drive thru is awesome and the girls are always sweet. I never have to wait for service. The drive thru makes it super convenient to grab me coffee before work.

It was nice. Quick service. Popular place on Sunday morning. Traditional American fare. Freshly made food. Home fries from fresh potatoes. Not oily. Good portions. Nicely decorated. Pleasant atmosphere.

Bust Saturday morning breakfast. Waited about 3 – 4 minutes at the door as 2 or 3 waitresses looked our way and continued about their business until we were finally told to seat our selves. Order raisin toast to tide my daughter over as the restaurant was busy, the waitress needed to be asked to bring the raisin toast, she forgot. Portions were large, pancakes and waffles were a little on the well-done side for our liking. Seems like everything was an upcharge… we ordered a Belgian waffle with a side of bacon, and an Order of raisin toast, in order of banana walnut french toast with a side of bacon and home fries and one of their specials for $ 9.99. Add an orange juice and coffee and the bill came to $ 45. A lot of food? Yes, $ 45 worth? No.

I typically don’t have very high expectations when entering a greasy spoon diner. It seems a lot of people expect 5-star service and meals from very casual dining establishments. Unless wait staff is downright rude or incompetent, I’m fairly low maintenance. I’ve never had a bad meal or experience with service here. I’ve only eaten breakfast here but each time I went the food came out fast, it was good, and there were generous portions. Service was good and waitresses were polite and asked if I need anything during course of my meal.

One thing I can say with certainty is this place is totally inconsistent. I went there for the first time a few years ago and didn’t like it much. The food and service was average at best and the place was cramped. So, I didn’t do there again for another couple of years. However, the next time I went, the food was outstanding and the service was solid. The next time I went, the food was still very good and the service was so so. Just went again this past weekend and the experience was pretty bad. 1. Asked for a high chair and was told by the waitress“they’re over there.” So, I had to get my own high chair. Definitely a clear indication of how this experience would go. Then I realized the strap was broken. I told another waitress(as my first one disappeared) and she thanked me and then put it right back. Ok, so the next people that grab that will accept a broken strap? 2. The first waitress reappeared at our table with a scowl and said: «Do you want drinks?» Not, «Hello, my name is blank and I’ll be your server today. Can I start you off with any drinks?» My wife and I were shocked by her rudeness. 3. When we sat down, our table was very wobbly. This, because of a warped floor. It’s odd how wavy and the floor is there. Anyway, we told the grumpy waitress and asked if there were some extra napkins that could be folded up and placed under the leg. So, the waitress came back without a word tossed a stack of napkins and made us fix the table. 4. The waitress continued to be completely miserable the rest of the time we were there. She just stomped around with a pissy expression. At first I thought it was us, but watching her, I saw her act this way to her other tables too. Fortunately an other waitress started working with us and she was as nice as could be. Not sure of her name, but she had light hair and tattoos. As for the food, well, everything we had was barely average. The worst thing about the meal was the home fries. In my opinion they were nasty. Oh and the Arnold Palmer I ordered was disgusting. I took one sip and couldn’t take another. It tasted like a puddle. Anyway, I’ll never be back. This place is way to inconsistent for me!

On a lucky day you can get a great breakfast sandwich. I say we get this less than half the time. We order over the phone and pick up at the drive thru. I have had many many times where they over charge me sometimes by 2 dollars. We always get the same thing so it should always be the same price right? Wrong! Very strange that its always a different price I DONT get it. They messed up my order once and the girl was SO rude to me! A few of them are. Wish there was another place to get a nice egg sandwich on a croissant! Minus the burnt egg :-(. overpriced yes!

The food is just average, the service is acceptable, and the prices are ok. What I’m assuming was the manager was yelling every few minutes at the staff. I had eggs Benedict and the eggs were not drained well along with a runny hollandaise sauce I had a soggy mess all over my plate. My wife’s over hard eggs were not fully cooked and still a bit«jelly» in the middle but her pancakes were good. Overall it was a pretty poor experience. I usually give places a second chance but with so many things off we decided that this place would not stay on our list.

My go to for breakfast. The coffee is good– this is key for my enjoyment of an early morning meal. The menu is well priced and inclusive of all the normal favorites– pancakes(BANANAPANCAKES), lean omelets, eggs of all variations, etc. They also have homemade muffins I believe. Service seems to be average, but as long as they get the food out fast, I can’t complain. I love the wide windows on the two main walls– it makes the entire restaurant brighten up. On a sunday morning, I feel like I could hang out at one of the window tables all day.

Wow. I mean, wow. I was so upset about my first visit to this restaurant this morning that I felt compelled to curb my other plans to come home and write this review. A little back story… My girlfirend and I recently moved to Billerica from Waltham. Most weekends, we like to go out and have a nice little breakfast together at whatever local diner we come to love. Being new to Billerica, we decided to head out this morning in search of a new local favorite. While cycling, I’d ridden past Riverview and thought it looked like a nice little place, so at my suggestion, we headed there. When we arrived, we seated ourselves at a window with a demi-view of the Concord River. The restaurant was maybe ¼ full; no line at the door or anything. Our waitress — who looked like a 50-something — came over to our table and asked the usual, «can I start you off with drinks?» question. «Sure — hot chocolate, please,» asked the girlfriend. «Hi, coffee and a glass of water, please,» I added. About two minutes later, coffee and hot chocolate arrived at the table. So far, so good; the water would be coming soon for sure. We then placed our orders. I ordered three eggs — two egg whites, one regular egg — and bacon, which came with a side of pancakes. My girlfriend also ordered something basic; scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. The waitress waltzed off, and so began our wait. *The following timeline is as accurate as my memory allows.* ~12 minutes, nothing. People who came in after us are being served. «Eh, it’s gotten a little busy,» we thought, so no biggie. We both worked as servers in college, so we’re more than understanding about long waits(I don’t think I’ve ever once complained at a restaurant). ~15−20 minutes, still nothing. «Eh, the waitress is probably new and just put the order in a little late,» we thought. ~25−30 minutes, two pairs of customers who came in after us had both eaten and headed out the door. We started to think maybe our order was never submitted. ~30 minutes, still nothing. The waitress has not so much as acknowledged our existence since we placed our order. A couple more groups of people who arrived about ten minutes after us get up and leave after enjoying their meals. ~35 minutes in, I make eye contact with our waitress, who then walked back toward the kitchen area. ~36 minutes in, she walks halfway between us and the kitchen and shouts, «yours should be out soon!!,» then shrugs and shouts, «I dunno!» EVENSTILL, my girlfriend and I look at each other and say, «Eh, stuff happens, whatever.» In fact, we were talking about how we shouldn’t judge a restaurant by one server. ~45 minutes in, our food arrives(which makes it pretty obvious that our order wasn’t submitted until aforementioned 36-minute mark). My girlfriend is given wheat toast to go along with her French Toast(she asked for French Toast made with wheat bread), and I receive three fried egg whites(not what I ordered). The food is not served by our waitress, but by one who’d been serving people on the other side of the restaurant. THIS waitress was pleasant and asked, «Is there anything else I can do?» So, you know, she COMMUNICATED. ~55 minutes in, our initial waitress is seen being told by someone(a manager?) that she should apologize. No apology is ever given, by anyone. ~60 minutes in, our initial waitress comes back, doesn’t say a word to us, and takes one of our empty plates away. We were never asked how the food was, or communicated to in any such way at all. The only time she spoke to us beyond taking our orders was when she shouted at us from three tables away at the previously mentioned 36 minute mark. ~70 minutes in, she returns, and slaps a bill on our table. That’s it; nothing about the food, no apologies, just an attitude(toward US, for some reason, who haven’t complained about any of this at all). The bill, which was something like $ 19.35, was paid for with a $ 20 bill. The waitress walked up to our table, took the $ 20 bill(keep in mind, we have change owed to us), and NEVERRETURNED. ~75−80 minutes in, still no change. We decide that she must have tipped herself, so we have no reason to leave any additional tip. We stand up to leave. As I look over to my side, about five waitresses/servers in the kitchen area are staring right at me. They all know what went on. Is there one apology issued by any of them for anything that occurred? Nope. We leave the restaurant, walk out and vow to never return again. So what did we learn? Apparently, at Riverview, the customers aren’t a top priority — or priority at all — even when they’re beyond understanding about all of the screw ups that occurred by the waitstaff. By far the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in terms of service, and I eat out pretty frequently. Oh, and I still don’t have my water.

Awful food. Super greasy and dirty. The french fries taste like frozen fries from your local grocery store. I would never go there again. So disappointed because I live right down the street. I don’t get why its always packed with people. I guess people like to eat bad food. Just about the grossest food I ever ate.

My husband and I have gone here for breakfast a few times on Monday mornings … you know, «sick days»… anywho. Both times we’ve gone it was us and the regulars. Several older folks that the server knows by name and character. It’s a fun atmosphere because they all kind of heckle each other. Everything has looked clean to us both times we’ve been in. The hot coffee is just what you’d expect, nothing wild, just a good cup of coffee. The food is very tasty in my opinion. If you’re looking for a dressy place to brunch, this is probably not what you’re looking for. Nice casual place for nice casual people. They also have a drive through, and their iced coffee is AWESOME! If you get iced coffee with breakfast they’ll give it to you in a to-go clear plastic cup with a top and straw(beats Dunks and Starbucks for sure).
