I was reluctant to call a franchise for service when my septic system was clogged but I’m glad I did. I had been using Mass Sewer And Drain to unclog the main line to my septic tank whenever that would clog up over the years. Fortunately, they blew me off and didn’t show up this last time I called them. So I called Rooter-Man instead and their guy Tom Regan showed up on time the next morning; asked me questions Mass Sewer And Drain never had; dug up the covers to my septic tank(Mass Sewer and Drain never did); showed me the clog in the baffle of my tank and taught me how simple and easy it is for me to prevent and remedy such clogs myself; and gave me tips to keep the system running trouble-free. Mass Sewer And Drain never did any of that for me. Ironically, Tom’s service and advice were so good that I may never need him again. But if I ever do have an issue with this system again, there is only one service provider I will call and I will insist they send Tom.

How often are you in a good mood when you have to call a drain service? The answer is rarely, if never. From our extensive experience using different drain services(yeah, we like punishment and some individuals in the house are harder on the plumbing than others) this has been the best yet. At least we were in a pretty good mood afterward, or at least much less crappy. This company is lucky to have someone like Tommy working there. He is an expert, personable and committed to doing a quality job. We had a tough clog, that affected every single drain in the house. Our sewer connection is not easy — 8 feet above the basement floor and a 70+ foot run to the street. Tommy advised us to call the town and make sure there was no sewer issue on the street, since my house is below street level. He waited for them to arrive.(Fortunately they were instantly quick!) I am quite glad he took the time to ensure that sewage would not rush down from the street and fill my entire basement — with, um… poop — if the town sewer line were backed up. Once we realized that the problem is entirely within my own plumbing, Tommy called in support for the two-person job of sawing off the end cap of our overhead old sewer line and clearing everything out. The pricing was reasonable for the work involved, and I appreciate the advice and expertise shared with us. We’ll use them again if we ever find ourselves up ****ts creek again for certain.
