Sullivan Tire & Auto Service

I have been going to Sullivan Tire Co. for as long as I can remember. I started going to the Bedford location when I was just a kid with my first car. They put a brand new set of tires on for me at a very fair price and really took care of me well.
When I moved to Billerica I began going to the Sullivan Tire down the street from my house on Boston Road. Same deal, always feels like they actually care about your vehicles.
I also bring my company trucks (pickups and light dump trucks) to them and they always pull through for me whether it’s something small or a major issue that requires immediate attention.
I’ve never once felt taken advantage of and usually I end up getting a great deal with unbeatable service.
If the Billerica location can’t work on a larger issue they have a commercial location in North Reading that does larger tires and wheels and can basically do everything involving wheels, tires, and balancing on the spot or with a quick turn around time.
Billerica is my favorite location. They are the most knowledgable and even have a transmission specialist that comes within 24 hours of drop off.
Billerica Sullivan Tire has pulled through for me in even the toughest situations — last winter for example. 2 of my trucks in the midst of the major back to back to back blizzards were having transmission problems and I thought for sure I was going to be spending around $ 10k for 2 re-​manned transmissions.
Both trucks 1 – 2 days later were up and running for under $ 1500 without having to replace the transmissions! I love these guys and I won’t go to any other mechanic when I can’t do the repairs on my own.

Nothing short of fantastic every time I’ve been in. They are prompt, let you know what the issue is before making any repairs, and never try to sell you stuff you don’t need. I’ve never had a bad experience at any of the Sullivan locations, but this one is above and beyond.

Over the past two months, I got a tire replaced because the sidewall had a gash in it which couldn’t be patched. Also got four tires balanced and replaced a few lightbulbs while I was there. They went above and beyond my expectations to provide exceptional service. Service was performed in a timely manner. Very pleasant staff.

I discovered this place through a friend. Like most people I want to take my car to be serviced and not feel like I have to check for my wallet when I leave. Unlike dealerships who will rake you over the coals this place is professional, well educated and very knowledgeable about the process. I don’t feel like I’m getting screwed nor do I have buyers remorse. Sterling, Patrick and the other guys are great to deal with. After paying over $ 950 for new tires and a lifetime warrant on the alignment, I was told by Sullivan Tire to just bring my car in any time for a tire rotation (after 6,000 miles). Not the case here. On a Wednesday morning they expected me to wait 75 minutes (1.25 hours) before they would take my car in. They have about 10 bays at this shop and you mean to tell me they can’t fit a person in for a 10 minute tire rotation? BS. I am done with Sullivan Tire. I was told by many after I bought my tires that Sullivan Tire is overpriced and all about selling you extras. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE MR SULLIVAN SHAME ON YOU.

My car needed a repair, a tire replacement. I was getting ready for a 16 HOUR drive from Massachusetts to South Carolina for the Holidays…
I had no time limit; I went to wait 2 hours (I had nothing to do.) The manager told me it would be 2 hours to wait for me to get a new tire put on my car.
I waited the two hours. Mike? I think is his name, was surprised I waited that long!
I got them rotated.
He kept updating me on what’s going on, how many are in front of me.
Their shuttle guy, took me to the local post office to drop off a package…(which I had never used a shuttle service before)
They’re great people, and this was my first time there, and I plan on going back soon for a tire alignment. It wasn’t too expensive either. under 100.00

Unethical business practices. Charged me for repairs never done, then wanted to charge me again to repair! I had been a customer for many years — spent over $ 900 to have work done, then went back for another job and was told the first job needed to be done… I reminded them I had paid a lot of money to have just that specific repair done not too long ago. Raised my suspicions — either the work was never done in the first place, or they were trying to get another $ 900 from me for work that shouldn’t need to be done. Took my car for a «second opinion» elsewhere — obviously, the repair was never done the first time, parts were all original. Instead of admitting error and fixing it, they wanted to charge me AGAIN. Plus, headlights needed new bulbs very quickly after being replaced — apparently they use the cheapest possible brand. Soooo disappointed, I thought I had finally found a place with integrity. Not so.

First off, I had an appointment. 1 hour and 15 minutes for a basic oil change! You gotta be kidding me! I could do better in my driveway! And of course the mechanic forgot to put my reminder sticker on the windshield. I tried to give sullivan the business even with a jiffy lube right next door… needless to say, I made the wrong choice…
And on a side note… they have all the service windows painted over so you cant see them working on your vehicle… very shady if you ask me

Let me start by saying that I know absolutely nothing about cars, tires, car maintenance, etc. So as a car owner it is important that I find a place where the people are nice and non-​intimidating, they explain things to me in a non-​condescending manner, and I don’t leave with that sinking feeling that my ignorance of all things automobile has caused me to be taken advantage of and get ripped off. I’ve been to this particular Sullivan Tire location several times now and have always had a great experience. Plus, I think Sullivan in general is cheaper than Midas. My oil change and tire patch this morning were only $ 35 whereas I recall my oil change being over $ 40 at Midas.
