Don’t go there on Sat if you are in any kind of a hurry. Took an hour to get our food. Gumbo & fried okra was good but ended up taking the food to go. Offered to help bus tables for the young woman who was handling the front. Really great décor. I would give them another try but doubtful I will ever be back to Billings.

This place was certainly a surprise. When you walk in and taste the food, you certainly don’t feel like you are in montana. They’ve got the décor, ambiance and food down! The portions are incredibly generous. There are plenty of hot sauces for you to add to your hearts content. This is a self serve, order at the counter and get your own stuff kind of place so it is highly efficient and easy casual experience. I got the shrimp étouffée and fried okra and while it was good, it wasn’t exceptional. Nothing to brag about but definitely satisfies a craving and definitely hunger. Order the smaller portions for any regular human being.

Two stars for pretty good food. Terrible slow service for take out. We were told 15mins but still waited extra 50 mins in the restaurant while it was not busy. We were told by another party that their take out was usually super slow.

This was our 1st time eating at the Here and it was wonderful. The café has such a incredible ambiance and is very comfortable. Our food was delicious and served hot. I had the Rueben which was amazing, my husband had the alligator por boy. The pecan breaded pudding was enough for two and worth ordering. The only down side was not getting chips or something with the sandwich, $ 8.00+ seems a little high. Maybe less sandwich and add house chips. Over all I would make this a regular stop, it was delicious.

Stopped in here while passing through. The atmosphere was nice. Ordered a chicken cubano and a veggie wrap. The food seemed fresh. The cubano was a tortilla wrap, and the zip in it was horseradish which I was not expecting. The veggie wrap was ok but a bit greasy. The kitchen is a long way down some hallway from the register area. Someone came in and rang the bell to no avail and ended up walking out. If the owners are reading this, you may wish to rethink the ring the bell for service setup.

This is a Cajun creole crossover restaurant. It’s not authentic, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good. The dinner portions are huge so order carefully.

Wonderful! We ordered to go and brought it back to the Crowne Plaza which was a mere 4 minute walk from the restaurant. We got the Fried Green Tomato BLT which was SOOOOOOGOOD and filled with flavor! We also got a small order of Crawfish Étouffée and it was WONDERFUL, spicy, and filling. We got a few orders of some sort of tri colored pasta with cheese for the kids and it was devoured. They gave us a few pieces of garlic bread it was mouth-watering. The lady working the counter/waiting tables was very nice. She greeted us promptly and was very appreciate of our business. Highly recommended!

We love eating breakfast here. They are located just a short walk from many of the downtown hotels. It is very New Orleans, which is why we love it. Good food, easy relaxed atmosphere. When you arrive, you order, find a place to sit and they bring your food out. I have had the sausage breakfast wrap, yummy!

New favorite place. Stop driving down Montana and going what’s in the Carlin now? Café Zydeco? I know it sounds like a bistro with Art Deco design and maybe nick-nacks for sale but it’s prob my new favorite place. Cajun food. Great space with that Nawlin’s flare and the historic buildings decorative ceilings. Shrimp and Andouille sausage Jambalaya was so flavorful and portions were huge. Love that damn place. Ordering at the front was weird when it could be a sit down restaurant all around. And the menu is all similar text and can be a black and white challenge, some pics would be great. Show off that food! I’ve had the pasta zydeco and shrimp & crawfish étouffée since this review and they all rocked. Beignets on weekends and bread pudding was rich and decadent. They added some apps to the menu above the register and the fried okra was awesome. And the fried pickle spears were great too. Wonderful Entrées and so many great looking sandwiches. You just gotta go.

We were here for Mardi Gras 2015. Great buffet and band was good too. The boudin balls, fried alligator, gumbo, jambalaya and crab cakes were great. Oh yeah, crawfish étouffée, fried crawfish, fried oysters… so good! Bread pudding was excellent!

Really good pulled pork po-boy. Good cozy atmosphere and the service was very good for a place where you order then sit. They called me by name several times, which I thought was very cool. Big menu, will come back to try more.

I am from Vegas went to the Zydeco’s in Bozeman all the time and the Billings one doesn’t miss a beat. Jambalaya amazing, All That Jazz poboy rules. Pasta Zydeco good as well. If you like Cajun food this is awesome. Better than anything in Las Vegas where we have lots of options.

The food is good here, but not great. In our first visit, we had the Catfish Chop-A-Too-Las and the Gumbo. The gumbo was quite good, hearty flavor, good portion of meat, but no veg to speak of at all. The Catfish was well-prepared, but the plate was overwhelmed with rice, and the Crawfish Etoufee that topped it had no depth of flavor at all. The sweet tea was pretty good, I must say. But this restaurant violates what I consider a simple rule: don’t ask for tips for counter service. I don’t understand what I would be tipping for? I come to the counter, place my order, you bring the food to me. You’re not bringing my drink, or helping me in any way that a server at a fast food restaurant doesn’t. I find this to be more than a passing annoyance. If you want your staff to make more money, pay them more. Don’t ask me to.

I have been to this new Billings restaurant several times since they opened in September. I sure enjoy fresh fish and shrimp tacos but the food here seems to be prepared in advance off premises and barely rewarmed(microwaved?) prior to serving — grilled items should not arrive to the dining area within five minutes of ordering. They really shouldn’t be lukewarm and soggy. Who likes cold, soggy grilled food? The red beans and rice are ok, «serviceable» would be the word, but lacking in depth and flavor and almost certainly made from a packaged mix simmered with water. Service is friendly if mostly disinterested. Not compelled to return or recommend this restaurant as the food does not seem inspired, soulful or vibrant. It doesn’t taste like food made from scratch, that’s for sure. I have a big problem with pre made/frozen food costing the same as food made fresh from scratch elsewhere, plain and simple. If you’ve ever been to New Orleans(and I am guessing many other reviewers here haven’t), this is warmed over and dumbed down Cajun by comparison.
