Being fairly new to Billings, I was missing Panera, so we tried Grains of Montana. It’s quite good! My daughter really liked the kid’s cheese pizza and the ham & Swiss quiche with a Caesar side salad was very tasty. Can’t wait to try out the breakfast menu!

The owner visited with us today and plans on making great positive changes to accommodate his customers’ needs. Great place for Sunday breakfast!

Best lunch spot in town, hands down. Good size menu with a great variety. Very quick service as well. I take all of my out-of-state family members here and they love it! Get the Mac and Cheese side — it’s worth the calories!

I had the French dip and it wasn’t very good. There was hardly any meat on the bread and au jus was barely warm. Also came with a small handful of chips. Total cost including a soda was $ 12.xx. Too expensive for the quality. My friend had a tuna melt and she said it wasn’t very good. Perhaps an off day for them.

Nice atmosphere, we were told the soups were house made… They were most definitely not house made but probably a frozen bag from Sysco or someone like that. Prices were above average, not worth the food or service. Bread was great, service was average… not very friendly but efficient. Probably not a place I would frequent again. I would rather be told the soups are not house made and then get something else, that — along with the soup — left a bad taste in my mouth.

Keep your expectations low. I decided to come here for breakfast since the reviews were good, but found it not to be worth seeking out. I ordered the Scrambled Egg Platter for $ 7.59 and it was obvious that my eggs had been microwaved. The potatoes were cubed and very basic, but luckily had a bit of flavor with some minced garlic minced in. Really this breakfast plate was below average. I also ordered a hot chocolate which tasted very unremarkable. However, the atmosphere wasn’t awful to hang out in and the order-at-the-counter service was pretty good. If you are waiting to meet up with someone and need a place to wait, this isn’t a bad spot. I won’t go out of my way to come here again the next time I return to Billings.

H E L L O M O N T A N A P A N E R A Wow, went here with friend and 2 kids, and it was a great experience. It’s a cute cosy little place that is very clean. Clean powder room too. It took a long time for the new girl at the register to get our order in the computer correctly. Like forever. Our meals, including a kid’s pizza that was immense, and my fluffy quiche, were worth the wait. Maybe I just like the adorable individual quiches, nah, I just like quiche period. Especially when the crust is so home made tasting. Yum Yum !!! There is also a bakery here with assorted goodies available for purchase. Lo and behold, a loaf of Sourdough bread! Of course I bought it and hauled it all the way back to Minnesota. I figure that if Mexican food is better the closer you get to the Mexican border, Sourdough bread made closer to San Francisco should be better too. Right? Well, it was too light and fluffy for my taste, but the tang was there. I guess I like a more dense bread, with real substance to it. So I will just dry what’s left and make it bread crumbs for stuffing. Certainly a better use! E A T H E R E E A T H E R E Y U M M Y !!!

I come here often because my elderly father likes their turkey bacon sandwiches. They now have some dinner entrees like pasta and pot pies in addition to the usual sandwiches and salads and pizza. The salads are quite good with mixed greens. You can add a side salad for $ 2.99. Beer and wine and yummy desserts. Check out the specials. Tonight I had a Thai chicken salad that was delicious — chicken, brown rice, cabbage, spinach, cilantro, peanuts, with a lime vinaigrette and peanut sauce. It was delicious! The only real downside — the seemingly ubiquitous Fox News in the background. :P

Great food, we had Angel pasta-good the Mac and Cheese, caprese chicken sandwich, beef pot pie and kids pizza. The kids pizza was huge!

It’s alright. If I go with my team or friends I will eat but I will never choose to go there personally. Food is bland.

Grains of Montana would be the equivalent to Panera Bread in California. They are similar in set up as well as the foods offered. The only difference is that Grains offers a better breakfast selection. My favorite is their blueberry pancake! It’s a Dutch oven delight! They additionally offer several different flavors of Chai! If your looking for lunch fare this place offers salads, pizzas and sandwiches! A definite stop in if your traveling through, visiting, or living in Billings!

Best pancakes ever. Oatmeal is awesome too. Brick oven pancakes. Brilliant. Great service and quality ingredients with Montana grown wheat. Oatmeal was the most heartiest flavorable oats that I’ve had

Took 40 minutes to get order and then the sandwich was made incorrectly — no dressings just meat. Yuck. On a side note, my husbands sandwich was good. However the wait in a sandwich shop = unacceptable.

We’ve been here a few times now and I like it! Good variety for a vegetarian, veggie sandwich and pizza to choose from, maybe more. They have some healthier options like whole wheat crust for pizza which is nice although not quite as tasty as authentic pizza crust. Still I’m a fan!

Good food and efficient service. I had a Cobb salad; it was good(although missing a key ingredient — avocado). My husband had a turkey club and said it was great. My son had a 4-meat pizza… again, delicious. My other son had the tomato bisque soup and macaroni & cheese. The soup was very good but the M&C was a little goopy. My main complaint is the location. It is not at all convenient for a traveller(distance from interstate). Even with that inconvenience, it is well worth the trip.

Very average. Good average but nothing more. Food is okay. We came here after moving to Billings hoping to find good sandwiches. Maybe something like a Panera Bread Co but it wasn’t quite cutting it. I only come here now for breakfast meetings and usually just get something out of the glass case and coffee. Service is generally nice. Overall, nothing to write home about.

I’ve been here a few times and thought it wasn’t really worth the money. Tonight however I tried their 4 meat woodfire pizza. Man it was delicious, well seasoned soft big juicy pieces of Italian sausage. Tasty thin cut pepperoni and thick fresh bacon bits. They were out of Canadian bacon so I get extra pepperoni. Cooked perfectly with a flavorful Italian herb marinara sauce and not too much mozzarella. Italian seasoning also on the pizza. I added Parmesan at home too. Right up there with Bullmans woodfire pizza. I’m stuffed!

Stopped in amidst a long road trip for a quick light dinner. Ordered a deli sandwich and a beer which came out very fast, delivered by a friendly and polite young girl. There is a comfortable and casual atmosphere here. The sandwich was delicious, bread was soft, ingredients all tasted very fresh! I would definitely recommend this place to friends.
