Love me some Mackenzie River. I have been a patron since the 90s at Missoula’s original locations. And am happy to be able to go somewhat near my home. Came here on my way to drop my mom at the airport. This location is near Airport Rd by Target. The staff was very accommodating to our needs to have a quick lunch. Albeit we came as they opened on a Sunday. We love the Greek salad and usually split the large and accompany it with a personal pizza. Which gives us two pieces each. It’s perfect. We like the Flathead or the Mackenzie River, but the Rancher is great too. We also like getting the house Merlot which pairs well with those pizzas and is nicely affordable. Solid service, solid food every time. Bathrooms clean and tidy. Restaurant clean and fun. The atmosphere is nice, but nearly as done up as say the Kalispell North location, but not much could top that. Will continue to return. Yum!

Went here out of the blue after a Target trip. No one was in there at the time so I was a little nervous. I was quickly reassured once we were greeted by Jesus. Turns out, he was from California, too! Before we knew it, we had been chatting 10 minutes before even glancing at the menu. My mom and I ended up splitting a small pizza. It was four big slices, which was perfect for the two of us. She said it was some of the best pizza she’s ever eaten. The crust was delicious. The best part of lunch had to be meeting Jesus. He was so fun to talk to, without being pushy and obnoxious. He gave us some recommendations of local sports bars to catch some NFL action. Not a lot of genuine people left in the world, but Jesus is definitely one of them. Thanks again!

Amazing restaraunt! Everything this place pumps out is on top. I love the service and beer but that is all in rotation. Year over year this place is making amazing pizza, pasta, soup, dessert, and especially the big salads! Yes George, I want a BIGSALAD! If things are not clicking along with the service — just ask to talk to management. They will do everything to make things right. Hot Hawaiin — Cobb Salad — Sausage Zag all amazing. Who else puts chili on a salad? Also a great place to go for app’s drinks before heading over to Bistro Enzo!

Growing up, MacKenzie River Pizza was always a favorite and always my suggestion when we’d go out for dinner as a family. Naturally, it is still a personal favorite. Born in Bozeman, Montana, this chain has exploded into states across the northwest and randomly(but thankfully for me!) Indiana. The restaurants all feature a very unique«lodgy» Montana-style décor. This particular location is rather large compared to some of the others, with a large wrap-around bar, so finding seating is rarely an issue. As for the service, it is very good 95% of the time. Unfortunately, we have had a few instances here of exceptionally slow or completely uninterested service. Thankfully, that has been the exception, not the norm. The food is amazing and of course is what keeps me coming back. The lodge pole appetizer(breadsticks) is delicious and my personal favorite pizzas are the hot Hawaiian(they put chicken on a Hawaiian pizza with jalapenos, yum!) and the jerk chicken. The pizzas are flavorful and the crust is delicious. As I greatly enjoy the pizza, I’ve never actually tried any of the sandwiches, salads or pastas. Just seems like blasphemy at a pizza place. If you’re ever in Montana(or Washington, Idaho, the Dakotas or Indiana for that matter) and see one of these restaurants, stop in. You will be glad you did.

Well we thought we would try it one last time. Big mistake. The bar tender just disappeared after getting us our drinks and food order. They brought our appetizer not good. Brought us the wrong pizza the first time. Got it right the 2nd time. Was not busy. Service has gone way down hill. And food is not far behind. Use to be a good place to eat. We are done with this place. Find some place else people.

Came in with a party of 22. Everyone had a great meal, staff was courteous and very helpful. Thank you again for taking care of our group from Wounded Warrior Project, it was greatly appreciated.

I use to love MRP’s Alfredo sauce. The flavor is still there but the cook forgot how to make it. Or they microwaved it. Butter separated from the cream. But still was good, just not amazing like it use to be.

This review is disappointing to write as I have been going to MRP since I moved to Billings in 2007. When I first started coming here, you knew all of the staff and they made you feel welcomed. I have to say that I believe it began when the company turned into a money hungry corporation who treated their employees terrible that this place has turned into a complete dump. The food and service has become sub par but due to loyalty and location I seem to come back, each time wondering why? I hate saying such unkind words but somehow I hope it will improve their business so they can get back to the Restaraunt I once enjoyed.

This place has gone down hill. Used to be one of my favorites. Food was cold. We were there for over an hour and tables around us were never bussed. My fish was charcoal can’t believe they served it.

My family and I had dinner and it was great! The gal we had as a server was so energetic and helpful! She even kept conversation with my three year old(which is not an easy feat) overall we loved it and will be back!

The last 3 times I’ve come here on a Sunday it takes a good hour(or 2, when I had a group of 7) to get our food. I don’t recommend coming here if you have a big group, because it takes so long. Very frustrating.

That was some of the worse food we have had in a while. Living in Great Falls for 7 years we thought after being gone for the last 5 we would go back for some great food… Boy we were wrong! We ordered a kids pizza, Willow creek sandwich and another small pizza. The kids pizza was so gross I let my kid eat just fries for dinner. It was soaking in grease and tasted like a frozen pizza. My sandwich was soggy and it was suppose to have avocado on it. The tiny price was so small I had to take apart the entire thing to find one of the main ingredients! Sad day

Very good thin crust pizza. The side salad was good and surprisingly had pears in it. Betty was our server and she was very pleasant and always making sure we had everything we needed.

I called up Mackenzie River Pizza from Chico, California to make a reservation. I honestly did not know what to expect but the manager(I believe his name was Rich) was so helpful and set us up with a reservation for Friday at 7:00. We got to the place 15 minutes late on Friday but they accommodated us pretty quick. We had to wait, no more than 10 minutes before they could seat our whole group(18) and even though the wait was short, the manager apologized and brought us out some free cheese bread sticks to munch on(which tasted amazing). Once we were seated the food was delivered in a decently prompt fashion which our athletes appreciated. Being cross country runners, they are constantly hungry and can get impatient when it comes to food at times so the quick serves did not go unnoticed. The waitress was very nice and continuously checked on us. To give you an idea of how often she would come by I can tell you that one runner on the team got a glass of lemonade which she had refilled 5 times. I’ve never been to dinner with anyone who has had that many refills in one sitting, perhaps this is because no one needs that much, but regardless I was impressed with how on top of everything she was. The food itself was amazing! Each bite burst with flavor and had me excited for the next. I also could not believe how cheap everything was. Nearly every meal I looked at was 10 dollars give or take a buck. Also, at the end of the meal, they even offered to fill up anyone’s water bottle on the team(seeing as everyone on the team carries it around to stay hydrated). Amazing service, cheap prices, and delicious food. 5⁄5 Stars without a doubt. Must try.

This is a solid(but not stellar) option for pizza. We were just passing through, so I am not sure how this compares to other pizza in Billings, but we felt that it was a good(but not great) dining experience. I have a diary allergy, so I was ecstatic that there was a place with soy cheese. My husband eats everything, so this seemed like a great place to satisfy both of us. The menu had a good number of options of pizza, salads, sandwiches, and appetizers. My husband got the ‘rollino’ and the chili and I got the caribbean pizza(with soy cheese). My pizza had a good flavor(although not amazing.) The crust(I choose thin crust) had a good flavor and a perfect crisp to it. My husband enjoyed both of his dishes, but he also mentioned that it didn’t ‘wow’ him. In general, if you are really craving pizza this seems like a solid option in Billings, but I think there are better options if you would like something else.

Great atmosphere in this place. The service is always excellent and the food is great. My 9 year old daughter loves eating here even though it does not specifically target children The pizza is awesome and you can’t go wrong with their sandwiches.

Some of the better pizza in Billings. The Hot Hawaiian is a definite favorite. Generally good beer taps, too, featuring a variety of MT breweries. For sure one of the best places to grab a bite to eat in the Heights.

This is a pub/bar chain restaurant located in the Target plaza. The inside of the restaurant looks really cute with fish, bull and bear decorations. The dishes were a little pricier. There were a few fish and vegetarian options, including a vegetarian wrap sandwich, fish tacos, fish and chips and pizzas. We only ordered two appetizers which were filling enough for both of us. We got the fish tacos and nachos which were both really delicious especially the salsa. We didn’t have a chance to have anything to drink, but the restaurant had a lot on draft including a few beers brewed for the restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly. Even though the restaurant was a chain, there seemed to be more creative meals not characteristic of other chains.

I like this Bilings location as much as the original Bozeman location. Why? 1) Staff are always friendly.(I am from San Francisco, California, and I find that MT folks are amazing); 2) Fast service. 3) We really like their thin crust pizzas(that’s the only thing we ever order) when we eat. We especially appreciate the corn meal crust. I highly recommend MacKenzie River PIzza for think crust. Will go back to the Bozeman or Billings location anytime.
