I’m not sure about the lunch and brunch options, but you’ll do better finding somewhere else as far as dinner is concerned. It wasn’t horrible food, just not special especially for the price. The pork was chewy and the stuffed flounder could barely be eaten for the many bone slivers, in which case there should’ve been a warning on the menu.

The restaurant is closed between 2:30 and 5pm, but the bar offers small bites. So this review is for the bar selections. There are about 10 appetizer style selections. We had the popcorn shrimp which were delicious and came with a remoulade style sauce. We had the calamari which was also good. The fried dills were out of this world. Usually restaurants served fried pickles sliced but they fried the whole dill and it wasn’t that greasy. Lastly we had the loaded steak fries which were generously topped with meat and gravy. The small bites hit the spot and I look forward to trying the restaurant soon.

had dinner with wife. the food was either under cooked or over cooked. the only thing consistent on food was the over pricing. The waiter was good. Sad attempt at fine dining. NEVERAGAIN…

Our second time in a year. First time was lunch food was good but the wait time for our food was rediculous. This time we thought we would try a evening dinner and wanted to try the(SMOKED) prime rib. Very disappointed no hint of smoke and kinda bland. Our bread was very stale and the alacart sides we not worth the money. All in all for the price we were very disappointed.

The restaurant was only taking reservations on vday for brunch, but when we got there to ask if they could squeeze in two, they said no, even though lots of tables were open. The upside is that we were able to eat at the bar and still enjoy Cora’s menu. The bartender/server(Frank) was awesome, and he alone is a reason to return. The food was good, but I’d probably order something else next time just to see what the other stuff is like. The steak in the steak and eggs was too thin, but juicy and well seasoned. Their brunch prices are mostly between $ 10 – 12.

I stopped by this place for some delicious Sunday brunch and it was a jolly good time with great friends. The hotel that it is located in is beautiful/welcoming. I went with the following items: 1) Blushing Mimosa — Pineapple, OJ& cherry 2) Steak Bennies —(2) 2oz. Cab filets with poached eggs and hollandaise on Texas toast Rounds I really enjoyed both items and wouldn’t hesitate to order them again. Those steak bennies were so good especially on top of the texas toast. I’ve had many different eggs benedict before and the one they serve here is now one of my favorites. The mimosa with those fruit flavors was satisfying. So if you’ve had a long Saturday night in Biloxi and want some grub before heading back home – I recommend Cora’s for a tasty meal.

Can’t say much about the food because, though Unilocal says they would be open, they close between 2:30 and 5. They had some small bar bites available. I asked the manager if they were serving dinner at the bar(3:15) he said, ummm, you mean lunch, are you looking for lunch or dinner at this hour? Then, tough luck, they don’t have either.

Service was shitty, which is unfortunate because the food was really good. The server took 10 minutes to take my order and walked by me three times. I ordered an orange juice but she never brought it to me. Overall the food was good, decent portion size a little pricy. They charged me three dollars to add very little blueberries to my ONE pancake.

No longer open for breakfast but haven’t bothered to update their Unilocal or website. We were disappointed having read such great reviews. Even the locals didn’t know they have discontinued breakfast.

Cora’s was a great place for a family breakfast before my grandma and aunt flew back to Minnesota. My aunt, dad and grandma got Cora’s breakfast plate with eggs, bacon and pancakes. My mom and I both got the breakfast wrap. All of this was way too much food for us, so I had tons of leftovers to take home. Standouts of the meal were the country potatoes and the breakfast wrap. Both tasted great fresh as well as when reheated. The pancakes were very fluffy and the bacon was fried according to our specifications. I had grits as my side and they were very buttery, but more clumpy than creamy. Our waiter was young and very sweet, but his inexperience showed. When he would finally appear we’d make many requests(hot sauce, jam, water, to go boxes), and he’d disappear again for a while. The layout of the restaurant/hotel may contribute to that, though. I couldn’t see or hear the kitchen, and there were no visible service stations, so I got the impression he might have quite a walk to fulfill requests. That said, the interior of both the White House Hotel lobby and Cora’s is absolutely gorgeous: tables are divided by luxurious curtains and overall the feel is upscale, unique and modern. This is less«Scarlett O’Hara home» and more«President Snow’s Capitol home» type place.

I believe in bottom line up front. I apologize fir neing a tad late on the review but it took a while just to return to Earth after the wine dinner here. The dinner at the White House, Cora’s Restaurant, was the best wine dinner I have ever had outside of Napa, Sonoma, Alexander Valley and Italy ever. Period. Unbelievable is truly an understatement. Chef Anthony Rametta«Put the Hammer down» on a setting that was fantastically SUPERB in his cuisine paired perfectly with the wines from St. Supe’ry Napa California. The WOW factor here was so intense that you felt it down to your DNA. From the First Course of Toasted Almond & Chèvre Stuffed Dates, Wrapped in Prosciutto to Venison Tenderloin Duo and everything in between… mesmerizing! But I must admit, the Fourth Course of Chef’s Choice was like a grand finale of fireworks in brilliant flavors going off and exploding on your palate, basil, ginger, crushed ice, exotic flavors and notes with each sip of Elu provided by St. Supe’ry. This was the very first wine dinner at the White House Cora’s Restaurant and another is already in the planning stage. Every attendee requested to be placed on the RSVP list before it was even written. So have I. Chef Anthony has already explained to us what he wishes to do at his next event. We can’t reveal what that is but I can say this, «Transcendental.» And that will be an understatement. There is simply not enough stars to post tegarding this magnificent wine dinner ballet.

Eh I’ve had better, went to happy hour. There are better happy deals around the beach, but the bartender was very attentive, and the inside was very quiet and clean.

Cora’s Restaurant and Bar is adjacent to The White House Hotel on the Coast. We stopped by the bar for drinks and appetizers and were wowed by the quality of our concoctions and the food was wonderful also. Try the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes! Fantastic wait staff and beautiful atmosphere!

Shrimp and grits are my favorite. Love being able to take my glass upstairs for an after diner drink on the roof. Great date night place

The building is nice, the décor is even better with the nice couches and chairs in the entrance. But the food was over priced in my honest opinion. There was 15 of us in my party therefore we expected somewhat of a wait. But on this rainy Wednesday night we were the only people eating here. It took 50 minutes to get our food. The staff apologized and we weren’t upset. The waitresses even admitted that there was a breakdown in the kitchen. My Delmonico Ribeye was medium as I ordered but it wasn’t warm at all and the asparagus were soggy. I commend the manager on his apologies but hopefully it will be better if I visit again.

Ate here with a party of 8. We had to sit in the hotel lobby because the largest table would only seat 7. Pros — decent décor. Nicer than an Applebee’s, but I wouldn’t call it tasteful or elegant. Cons — where do I start??? Service was awful. We had 2 waitresses. They went around the table taking our order and forgot to take mine! I had to go find one of them to put in my order. We got 6 appetizers(2 of each of the meat and cheese tray, scallops and crab cakes). The scallops were NOT fresh. The cheese was ok. When the salads came out they told the 4 of us that ordered a wedge that they were out of blue cheese so they gave us peppercorn instead. Except they also ran out of that so we only got a small little dab of dressing. So basically we all got a chunk of dry lettuce. My $ 50 steak was not only Overcooked, but it was also cold and tough. Same with the other 2 guys that ordered steaks. The plate was warm so my guess is that it sat under a heat lamp for a while. One guy ordered a pasta dish that was gummy like it had been sitting under a heat lamp while they finished burning our steaks. And the last insult was when we tried to order the desserts they only had 1 piece of most of the choices left. It was probably the worst experience I’ve had at a «gourmet» restaurant on the coast. Especially one that ended with a $ 900 bill. Thank goodness it was a business expense. I won’t be back.

White House has been beautifully remodeled on the outside in a southern charm way so I was quite disappointed when I walked in and felt like I was in a modern hotel… like Vegas. Cora’s restaurant was smaller than I expected but the décor was put together horribly. Too many textures and designs(creepy pictures, trees, & various curtains). The food was good though… the only complaint is the container that holds the creamer for the coffee isn’t practical. I don’t think I’ll return unless someone else pays.

A nice little boutique hotel restaurant! The White House is fabulous & Cora’s is too! We snacked in the bar at night… they have a wonderful wine list & the prices are reasonable, Belle Glos Pinot Noir $ 14⁄5 oz pour! Shared the meat & cheese board… nice selection of Brie, maytag blue cheese & white cheddar accompanied by prosciutto, hard salami & sopprosetta. It was served with homemade toasts, olive tapenade & cherry compote. We also shared the arancini risotto & it was yummy! Had a nice little breakfast this morning. The restaurant is beautiful & the staff was so nice & helpful! I had the fruit plate… a nice mix of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cantaloupe & honeydew sprinkled with a bit of powdered sugar. Ordered a side of applewood smoked bacon that was awesome & came with 4 big pieces, yum! Also had the toast… my mom had the biscuits, they looked so good! If we are ever in Biloxi again we will definitely stay at the White House & eat at Cora’s!

Cannot say I love this place. The building is beautiful and elegant, immaculately clean and gorgeous. The restaurant, and the food, however… is inconsistent and could use much improvement in my opinion. Ok, they do have a large menu with enough options, including various small plates, steaks, pasta, soup, salad and seafood. We have had some delicious soup that was seasoned well and served very hot, just the way I like my soups. The portion was more than generous. Unfortunately we felt many other dishes on the menu was not prepared very well… We did not find them worth the $$, despite the large portions. I thought my meal was rather bland and overcooked. Throughout our several visit to Cora’s, our server(different person each time) was friendly but generally awkward and amateurish. However the manager is personable and nice. Next time we will perhaps try their brunch menu…

We tried this restaurant when we stayed at the White House hotel. It is a gorgeous space, very unique. Our server, while young, tried hard to please us and was attentive. The manager talked with us throughout and after our meal. Our wine, apps, and meals were hit and miss. Overall, the spices and sauces were pretty bad, bland, thick, etc… I had to send my meal back b/c the pasta was so overcooked, it was soggy. My husband’s meal(fish) was pretty good. Some of my wine was bad, but that was probably more reflective of my choices than anything else, but I basically ordered all their sweet whites and only two of five were decent. My salad was good. My husband’s scallops were good but expensive for four. I had to ask for a different salad dressing because whatever they gave to me was thick, pale green, and tasteless(I found out later it was an avocado blend). Their desserts, from local patisserie French Kiss, were both pretty good, but they ruined my red velvet cake by putting strawberry sauce and whipped cream on it(??) and they did something similar on my husband’s dessert. They took my meal off the bill and gave us a significant military discount. Our bill went from about $ 150 to $ 100. My husband commented, «If I had to pay $ 150 for that meal, I would be really upset.» I agree. We both thought the food itself was deserving of 2 – 3 stars, although again, the service tries hard and the atmosphere is very pretty. When I mentioned the problems to the server, she mentioned one of their dishes, the risotto, had been sent back to the kitchen all night due to ‘no taste’ and when I mentioned the problems with the sauces and spices to the front desk staff, he knowingly nodded and said ‘I agree.’ So I think the staff knows of the problems, I hope they can train up their chef better or get someone else in the kitchen because this could be a fantastic restaurant but at this point, it’s barely average.
