Had a great time with friends. The food and service was great. Our server, Tiffany B was terrific and was very knowledgeable about the menu and the days selections. The oysters were incredible; probably the best I have had anywhere! We will definitely be back and we will ask for Tiffany.

Had a really good dinner and the view is great. A couple small negatives. The food was mostly great but just pretty slow coming out. The beignet I ordered for desert were pretty good, but took a really long time to arrive. My shrimp and grits was very good but just not what I was expecting. I was expecting a bed a grits with some large shrimp on top, but it arrived the other way around. A tall, enormous, grits cake covered in a sauce full of tiny shrimp(surely not local gulf shrimp?). It was very good but unusual. My buddy ordered a steak that he said was pretty good, but it was SO thin I was sure I could see through it if he held it up.(They are not a steakhouse though.) I also had a cup of gumbo. They included okra in the gumbo which is fine by me but just not enough spice. Could have used a lot more pepper. Most everything was pretty great and very positive. All the staff were VERY friendly which is getting a little hard to find at times these days. Absolutely everyone along the way said good night to us on the way out. Other then the very small thing mentioned above the food was all really very good. The view is great with lots of seating outside. I’ll go back.

this restaurant was the bright spot in an otherwise dreary visit to biloxi. we drove up and down the strip and couldnt find any restaurants outside of a casino and were about to settle for mcdonalds when we saw mcelroys. sitting 30 feet up in the air, the view was wonderful. the seafood platter was awesome. i got grilled and the taste of each item really came thru. even my wife’s fried platter was clean and light. no heavy grease taste. we were so impressed that we decided right then and there to come back the next day for breakfast and we did! i’m a bit of a grits snob and i will say they are good and creamy. i dont know if we will be going back to biloxi but if we do we will eat at mcelroys

My spouse and I ate there in the late afternoon, early evening. We are true lovers of Gulf Coast seafood as a special type of cuisine. We don’t mind downscale décor but we do expect high quality, fresh ingredients. We would describe the interior as «seedy»; nautical themed décor but slightly dirty. We hate to write bad reviews but we do want to warn others. Service was OK. BUT, the food was terrible. Happy hour, so we ordered Bloody Marys. Clearly, it was a little vodka and a LOT of bottled Bloody Mary mix. I make better at home. We ordered oysters on the half shell; they were not shiny at all and clearly were past their prime. We ate them tentatively fearing that we would get food poisoning. Against our better judgment, we continued the meal. Wife got snapper; I got the crabcakes. Both were terrible. In all honesty, the only edible food served to us was the hush puppies. They were freshly made and tasty. Everything else was stale, not fresh and poorly prepared. Worse, the prices were equal to the other good Gulf Coast restaurants nearby at which we had previously dined. Strongly recommend not eating here. We never will ever again. A local told us that this place used to be good prior to Katrina; following Katrina, their cooks left for other jobs. Apparently, no decent cooks were ever found to replace the cooks who left. We did not get food poisoning. But, the crabcakes did give me stomach upset that lasted until the next morning.

We usually eat at White Cap but it was very busy and decided we would try McLeroys Denise was our waitress and recommended to my husband to have his flounder grilled. He absolutely loved it We will return to visit again with Denise. She’s a keeper

I have not written a review in a while, but this place got my fingers working. I was very disappointed. The service was great, our waitress was Tiffany. The food was very bland. I realize living in Louisiana we are accustomed and spoiled by flavorful food every where. McElroy’s Seafood Restaurant did not cut the mustard. I started with chargrilled oysters topped with bacon, cheese, and chives. I had to send them back. They were more like raw oysters the topping was not melted, very bland. I had fried crab claws and french fries for my entrée. The fries were actually pretty good, but once again the crab claws lacked flavor. My dining party were equally disappointed in their meals. I really do not like leaving bad reviews, but this is a must especially for people who visit from Louisiana looking for a place to dine. Avoid this seafood spot, unless you really enjoy bland food.

Stop to eat with Wife and young three old child. Was seatd in corner with nice view. We a waitress came and asked if we wanted to order drinks. Then a bunch of local bikers strolled in and she does not return to our table to serve us she decides to their order. We were waiting 40 minutes before we had go to Manager asking where are waitress was and we could get serve. Over price choke and puke food on top of stilts look likes a Waffle House. VERY Rude and worthless Management and waitresses.

If you want Fresh seafood, good service all at good prices? Do NOT go to McElroys. The breaded shrimp was obviously frozen, and was soggy! My wife’s salad was was wilted, and had brown rot on part of it. Very bad experience. Will not be back. EVER!

Wanted some seafood. Did a search and came across McElroys. We came for lunch. There was a large party there but we were seated instantly. Our waitress Denise was so pleasant and informative. Since it was our first time she answered our questions and recommended great food. I had the whole flounder with bones. If you are squeemish get the filet. But I suggest you get the whole. It came with a plate of fries and salad and another side. I got the green beans. Not my thing but I’m not much of a veggie eater. Mom had the catfish and she said it was fresh and crunchy. That is high praise for her since she is so darn picky. Check put my pics of the view from inside. Denise explained about the string on the patio. It keeps the seagulls away! Who knew! My mother kept imagining a tsunami. Paranoid much! Overall I would suggest trying them out when you are in town. Good food, good service, and a fantastic view. A relaxed place to enjoy some good food!

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. It has been a while since I have been treated like family at a restaurant. The omelets were amazing and flavorful. I highly recommend this location if you are looking for good food and a reasonable price.

This place is terrible. It smelled like an airport, the interior was plain at best, and the service was mediocre. The view is the best part, but everything tasted like it came from a can. How they can serve crab cakes like that and charge $ 24 for a seafood platter is beyond me. Not worth it by any means. Should have gotten a shrimp poboy instead. They forgot one of our sides, which is crazy, because the one platter we were splitting was $ 24. The gumbo was flavorless and a small cup was $ 7. It was embarassing. I can’t believe they charge so much. Don’t go to this place at 4pm. Don’t eat the crab cakes. Forget about your side items. Enjoy your crackers. Bring a snack because for $ 24 you still won’t get enough food. Completely embarassing.

Great views of the gulf and you can watch the shrimp boats make their rounds. The food was ok. I had a half po boy and gumbo. I also had a dozen oysters for 8 bucks! The best price in the area, but they were on the gritty side. Fresh but quite a bit of dirt on the outside. The gumbo was tasty and so was the po boy. Almost forgot to mention the fries. They are batter fried and came to the table cold.

Great deal on the oysters, but its only at certain times during the year, so will have to call for specials. We got a dozen oysters for 7.99 $. Located on the beach, with terrific view. Took a little long to get our food. The other food was OK, no complaints. Would definitely come back for the oyster special!

If you’re looking for fantastic décor, look elsewhere. That’s the only issue I could come up with. This Cajun enjoyed the gumbo, which is something I never really order in a restaurant(which anyone that«gets it» will understand.) Sounded good at the time and I was happy I did. We were there during an off time in the afternoon, when staff is normally a bit more… casual in handling their tables. Not so here, the staff was attentive, on top of refills, and friendly. I would definitely stop by again on my next drive over to Biloxi. *Edit, I forgot to mention the view. There are TV’s scattered around, but the gulf is opened up right in front of you. Who wants to look at a TV when you can observe numerous boats fishing from above? I could have sat there all day just taking in the view.

Great crab dip appetizer, great oysters & of course some great cocktails. Not much interior wise, could use a serious makeover. Wonderful views of the Gulf of Mexico. The crab cakes are not good. The fried crab claws suck… skip the meal and just do the appetizers and cocktails!!!

Great find! We came for lunch; I had ½ Shrimp Po-Boy and gumbo– both were excellent. My husband had grilled pork chop and they were really good too! Beautiful view of the gulf and our waitress, Lauren, was fantastic! Would definitely return!

We were looking for a breakfast place around our hotel and they recommended this spot. Walked in the door immediately got seated and waitress took our drink and food order. Very friendly and clean and comfortable atmosphere. We both ordered a breakfast plate and loved it. Just enough food to satisfy and very tasty… Not to mention the price was six dollars. I highly recommend this.

My wife’s favorite lunch spot when we’re in town. Stopped by today and had the fried pickles, shrimp & grits and blackened flounder. All were great and the service was fine. Can’t wait till next time.

The onion rings were a great value for both quality and quantity. The blackened combo platter had a great taste and the right quantity also with green beans and potatoes that reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking. I spent $ 50 for myself and wife; however, it was money well spent. I would definitely recommend this place. The service was great with a nice view of a very cloudy gulf. We are back a little over a year later and our server, Tiffany, from a year ago, greated us as old friends and made us feel very welcome. The review is still the same as I got the same food again. Still wonderful.
