Everything our group ordered(well, not the steaks, but I blame my ridiculous family for ordering them well done) was divine! I keep thinking about the bisque and wish I could have it everyday on this trip.

Such a great spot! Out of the city, definitely need GPS to get there. Cute little place, just the right amount of fake sea animals on the wall :) Servers were very nice, kept our ice teas full. We ordered the roast beef po’ boy, which had really great bread and a nice gravy. Also had the boiled craw fish platter. I liked the amount of spice, I’m sure a place like this has to walk the line because of tourists. For those who want it hotter maybe a side of seasoning or hot sauce would do the trick. Anywho, the crawfish were easy to peel and tasty. Didn’t eat the potatoes, but the corn was also good. Will be back the next time I’m through the area for work.

If you’re searching for great seafood gumbo, fresh local fish and spicy boiled crawfish with corn and boiled potatoes, this is the place! !!! Local atmosphere, great service and reasonable prices. If you have room for dessert you have to try the homemade bread pudding, by far the best I’ve had anywhere. … Not an easy place to find but worth the search. . Ray C. Miami Beach

This is exactly what we were looking for. We are staying in Biloxi by the beach where there are plenty of mega«everything fried» seafood places. This was worth the drive for a real crawfish boil platter(spiced just right for me) and great po boys. My family had crab po boys which I hadn’t seen elsewhere to be honest(think crab cake po boys). Service was attentive and very fast. Parking can be a challenge but we squeezed in. Highly recommended.

This time, on our second visit to Taranto’s, we had 3 pounds of boiled crawfish for my fiancée and a shrimp platter and a bowl of seafood gumbo for me. The heaping platter loaded with fresh, perfectly fried shrimp was outstanding. This really was a treat. The crawfish could have benefited from some seasoning. I like a kick to my food, especially something as otherwise bland as crawfish, but they were fresh and tender. The seafood gumbo was very good, although the roux was a tomato based type as opposed to the traditional«chocolate» colored roux, which I absolutely love. The fries were average. The service was excellent. Overall, this place is a winner and, like the Terminator, I’ll be back.

We stopped by Taranto for late lunch/early dinner on our way from New Orleans to Biloxi. From the reviews, we had high expectation on their boiled crawfish. We called ahead and was told their crawfish size was between medium to large for $ 2.99/lb or $ 2.79/lb if order 10 pounds or more. We started off with 5 pounds because we didn’t want the crawfish to get cold. We planned to order another 5 pounds when we were done with the first batch. We also ordered a pound of boiled shrimp, a cup of crawfish bisque, a cup of gumbo, and an order of fried oyster. The food came out very quickly. Fried oysters were fresh, hot and crispy, went so well with tartar sauce. It was my favorite thing at the meal. Boiled shrimp was fine, except some of them tasted grainy/sandy because the veins were still in them. Both the crawfish bisque and gumbo were good. My husband ended up order another cup of bisque. Boiled crawfish however was a disappointment. I agreed with one Unilocal reviewer that the crawfish were overcooked. They were a bit salty for my taste and the size was more like small to medium. We had a lot of baby size crawfish on our tray. Of course by now we knew we were not going to order our second 5 pounds. So in summary, most of the food were good except boiled crawfish. Maybe we had too high of an expectation for them. Staff was friendly and tentative. I would go back to try their other dishes on the menu but for crawfish, I will go somewhere else.

We got supper here on the way out and ordered 3lbs boiled crawfish @$ 3.19 a pound. They were hot and tasty with some spicy kick. Also ordered fried crawfish and oyster po boys and they were perfect. The sweet tea was good and service here is just awesome! They even have a good kids menu here and high chairs too. It doesn’t take long to get your food as they are on the damn ball. Make sure u ring the bell by the door as u leave.

Great authentic restaurant. I ordered the crawfish platter and it was out before I could even get to this part of my review!

We always stop here on the way to Biloxi from the airport and it never disappoints. Crawfish, catfish and fried oyster were all excellent. Hillary was our waitress for 16 people and was perfect. I can’t wait to go back.

I had such high hopes for this place. The ratings alone made it seem like this place couldn’t be beat. Unfortunately it wasn’t all that I hoped. I ordered the crawfish, boiled shrimp, fried pickles, and a side of bread in case the crawfish was too spicy. Turned out I didn’t need the bread after all. The crawfish lacked any real spice, on top of that they were over cooked. The shrimp was fairly low quality with very thin shells and didn’t have any seasoning. The fried pickles were decent but it’s hard to mess those up. Overall, if I had a choice I would go to tasty tails as there crawfish have much better flavor. I can’t speak for the rest of the menu but looking at other people’s tables, the food looked decent.

It was my first time eating crawfish. My friends stared at me enviously as I devoured handfuls like a barbarian.

Looks like a very popular place and can get pretty crowded. I ordered a shrimp poboy and some gumbo. Both were very good. The shrimp was fried well and had great flavor as did the bread. The gumbo was thick and also had good flavor. The staff were very friendly. Will definitely try again.

This place is hard to find, out in the middle of nowhere. But the food is AMAZING. We got fried pickles, a fried shrimp basket, fried catfish basket and two drinks, and it was less than $ 30. The best fried pickles and fried catfish I have EVER had. I can’t wait to go back and try their crawfish. The service was great as well, everyone was really friendly and the waitress was super helpful.

The name is actually Taranto and Son, so it could be difficult to find as there is another place just called Taranto’s. The crawfish is good BUT it doesn’t compare to Claw Daddy’s. Taranto’s and Son keep their potatoes whole, rather than cutting them up, and there’s no creamy butter sauce and seasoning sprinkled/poured on top. Their boiled shrimp was better than Claw Daddy’s though. They’re also the same price as Claw Daddy’s. While the gumbo wasn’t as good as anticipated(nor warm enough), the Texas toast was good. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was kind of cool.

I loved this place! We happened to come across it and it was great! The service was excellent! Everyone was very friendly and extremely accommodating. The food was brought out very quickly, and the portions you get are well worth the money you spend. The crawfish was excellent, and the Po Boys were full of flavor! I would drive back to Mississippi for the bread pudding they serve here any day! Very good!

Definitely a must visit restaurant if you are in the Biloxi area! Came here our first night thanks to Unilocaler reviews. Did not disappoint. The service and food were both great. We shared a large seafood platter, fried crawfish tails, and a cup of gumbo. The gumbo was some of the best I’ve ever had. A tomato based concept that hit on every cylinder. The crawfish tails were OK, nothing spectacular. The seafood platter was fantastic. Real MS. catfish. Be careful at some other area restaurants as they serve Basa — a «catfish» from Vietnam. Really, Vietnam Basa in Biloxi seafood restaurants! Not here, this was excellent. And the wait staff was exceptional. My only complaint, I didn’t come here during crawfish season. But, I will next time, and I can’t wait.

Really solid food! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. For about $ 45+Tip we got fried pickles, a side of fried shrimp, a shrimp po boy, fried catfish, fries, onion rings, and two drinks. We got enough food to fill us up+take some back to the hotel for later. The breading on everything was delicious. Light and crisp and fried to perfection. Like others have stated, the fried pickles were REALLY salty, but I like salt… so that’s ok. The po boy was generously filled with huge shrimp. We got a generous portion of catfish. The hubby was hoping for a little bit of spice in his fish breading but was still pleased. Our waitress was sweet as can be and kept our drinks full. Although we drove to the boonies to eat there, we never felt our of place. If we were a local we would return! Try it out!

I had the fried pickles and they were very good. The crawfish Po-boy was good and I am glad I did not get a whole. The gumbo was OK as were the fried crawfish. When the boiled crawfish are in season they are the best here. Service was great and the waitresses were nice and on the ball. Overall, I would go back but it will not be a 1st choice for me as the food was average.

All you can eat crawfish for $ 20… Need I say more? Okay and ice cold beer to wash them down with! I can’t comment on the rest of the menu because I have only been here for the all you can eat crawfish but they are so good marked it on out calendar as soon as they put on fb that it was starting again! Try them so good!

You gotta meet Cindy. She’s the best waitress yet. Super helpful about what to order. For a city girl, she broke down the nitty gritty of the Gulf. The bisque and the gumbo are AMAZING. The crab cakes are made with blue crab. The breading on the catfish was so light, you could taste how succulent catfish can and should be. Ring the bell when you leave. Let them know you had some good eats.
