Stopped as we were very hungry from a day at the Unadilla motocross races. A friend and I split the 2 for $ 25 and I had the half rack of ribs. Initially they were burnt to a crisp, so I sent those back as I was literally eating the charred remains of what was once possibly ribs. The next lot were still slightly charred on the ends and cold in the middle. I guess the ribs are not made fresh daily? The taste was also pretty disgusting. I couldn’t be bothered to send back again, as I am aware that the kitchen staff are likely to taint food that is returned. So I just suffered a crappy meal and now know Applebee’s is most definitely NOT the place for ribs. Also our waiter had HATE tattooed on his fingers and was missing a multitude of teeth, although he did a decent job, it is a look I would expect would be more at home at biker bar than a family restaurant. I doubt I will ever venture into another Applebee’s EVER!

Charlie O. Yesterday Drove to Bingaman to visit my brother who was in a rehab facility for hart problem. My wife an I was able to take him out for dinner he was looking for some ribs, my wife an I split one of the 2 for 25 dinners, both had the salad that was a very good and large portion. I had the chicken and shrimp that was a nice portion and very flavorable, my wife decided on the half rack of baby back ribs, the portion would have been just right but the ribs were all bones with no meat and burnt. The manager apoligized and brought another out that was better looking but not much meat for the price figured about 1 ounce of meat and half pound of bones. My brothers portion was about the same. Bottom line if you want ribs go to Famous Daves.

By The Way, I had a super delicious BLT, fries and large Pepsi for dinner not to long ago. The dining rooms and bar areas are super clean and well organized as well as the men’s restroom and bathroom. Staff and crew are very helpful, clean and well groomed. When You exit and leave the Applebee’s parking lot, you have to turn right onto Front Street instead of left! :) Dave Lepkowski.

I had never had a hamburger this bad in my life. The meat was dry. The bread was burned. Too small for the price. Too little dry old French fries. My wife had salad and soup. Her salad was so little she finished it with three bits. I will not go back to any Apple bee Resturant again.

Stopped in for a quick lunch with my husband and 2 daughters. We were asked to wait to be seated even though there were only 2 other tables occupied. For the 5 minutes we were left waiting we watched 2 employees at the bar chat and 2 others who appeared to just be wandering. Finally someone came to seat us, at which point there were 2 other families which were also waiting and 1 of the 2 tables there previously had finished and left. When we ordered drinks my daughter asked for a pink lemonade and was given a choice of 4 different lemonades. When she said she just wanted a regular olé pink lemonade the waitress just stared at her blankly at which point I had to finish the drink ordering. My husband ordered the philly pub brew sandwich, my children each only ordered loaded fries because the lunch menu was a little sparse and were never told of any recommendations or specials, and I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger making sure to stress that it needed to have no pink, as in 0% pink, all brown, the drier the better. We received our food quickly and the appearance was very appetizing. My husband and children had a ho-hum opinion of the taste of their«meals». I was however very disappointed at the amount of pink left in my burger. I asked for none and it was medium well at best. Our waitress made no other appearances at our table until we were ready to pay our bill and then never even asked about the fact that there was a whole burger left uneaten. Although Applebee’s is generally one of my favorites for lunch or a quick dinner, I would suggest steering clear of this location as they seem very disorganized, under trained, and unaware of how to handle any special requests.

I have never been a fan of chain restaurants. This one however has a friendly staff but the food… well…its chain restaurant food. Most likely frozen and popped in a fryer or microwave. The French onion soup is a salt lick, salads wilted, chicken dry like leather, shrimp small & chewy. Bathroom was a tad dirty and the main door to bathroom doesn’t shut all the way.

Applebee’s all have the same food no matter where you go. What stood out in my experience here was the wait. I felt we waited a tad bit too long for our meal to cone. Yes it was a busy night but there was no wait for tables so the place must have been at 90%. Waitress was very helpful and nice though

I came here on a weeknight and the place was almost empty. It’s typical Applebee’s food. I had the Sizzling Double Barrel Whiskey Sirloin Steak. Not to sound like a steak snob, but I didn’t like it much. I had cheaper steak before that tasted better. Surprisingly, my waiter was very nice.

I have had some dreadful experiences at various Applebee’s locations around the country, but I’m going to depart from my usual disparagement and give these guys some credit. We stopped in Binghamton on our way to Cooperstown. It was past the usual dinner rush and the local Spiedie place was closed. So what the heck, we were hungry and in need of an alcoholic beverage or two. The service was excellent — our server was extremely polite and professional. The drinks and food arrived promptly and were pretty good. Other Applebee’s locations can take lessons from this one. As an aside, Binghamton is an interesting place! Don’t you just love a town that has a whole festival based on a sandwich(the Spiedie) with hot air balloons thrown in for extra fun!

Traveling to New York City & came here for a quick yummy bite. Unfortunately the experience wasn’t that great. I ordered the Under 550 calories Zesty Roma Chicken & Shrimp. I have had this dish before at a different applebees & it was very good. In this applebees it was warm but not hot when it came to me. Also it was underseasoned. My sister got the kids meal mac & cheese. It was a kraft mac & cheese that I could make at home for 99 cents. She also got applesauce with that that was just store bought. Nothing special. We also got the Under 550 calories garlic sirloin. We wanted it with spinach but not creamed. When it got to the table it was hot but the spinach was no where to be found. We called the waitress & asked for some spinach. We recieved the spinach but it wasn’t enough to fill up a 2 year old child. The steak was ordered medium but the outer edges were well done & the middle was medium. Cutting the steak was difficult because when you cut it a little string thing was attatching the pieces of steak. Also it was very salty. Very disappointing. Lastly, we ordered the Double Barrel Steak. The steak was ordered medium well & it was cooked correctly but it was very salty too. It came with mashed potatoes that were pretty good. Our server seemed nice at first but seemed to get a little moody when taking our order. when we told her about our food she seemed to understand & offered things like a free dessert, a free salad, or a free soup. We didn’t want any more food so she ended up not charging us for one of the dishes. We appreciated that. Overall it was a very dissapointing experience.

It’s processed food. what was I thinking. It is what it is. I prefer dinner’s any day over chain restaurants. 2 for $ 20. I think not. Portions are too small for your money. Only thing I enjoyed the most is the service. So I give 3 Stars.

There are not too many good options on the road from western NY downstate. There are well known diners, but that doesn’t mean they are good, cheap or wanting of children. While coming down Rt 81 and passing through Binghamton, it was time for the car, kids and parents to get a break. We wanted to go to Cracker Barrel(as a vegetarian, I don’t know why) but there was a 20 minute wait — too long with kids on a long car ride. Applebee’s was right next door and proved to be a great option. The food was good with a selection of veggie options, kids meals and something for the wife. The staff was very friendly, the ambiance fun, they were receptive to our needs(our crawler needed to crawl) and got us out with a balloon for car. i will definitely keep this place in mind for those long rides in our great state
