I have gotten Sunday breakfast at Danny’s twice now. It’s a pretty straightforward diner experience. If you are a fan of diners, you can get a very solid meal, quickly and at a great price. During my most recent visit, I had a feta, spinach and tomato omelette special. It came with coffee, toast and home fries for around $ 6. I added sausage links for around $ 2.5 upon the waitress/cook’s recommendation. They might have been the best breakfast sausages I’ve ever had. The omelette was packed with veggies. The other nice feature of Danny’s is that their breakfasts are well portioned. They do not load you up with an insane amount of food like some diners do for breakfast. In sum, solid diner. I hope to check them out for lunch someday.

i like this place, it’s an old school diner with good food and good service. the hours seem a little random though, i never know if they are going to be open late night or not. for breakfast, the pancakes are probably my favorite in the area. they are not as dense as other ones and they have a good flavor to em. their home fries are just kinda standard, but their french toast has a great flavor. they use thin white bread for it where as a thicker slice would be better though. i haven’t had much off the lunch menu yet. their fried chicken is good but it’s not their recipe, it’s the same chicken they serve at rolandos and park diner. i didn’t really like the mac salad they have here, but their fries are ok. they serve krinkle cut fries and i usually don’t like those but these were alright. their burger is also decent. not my favorite in the area but it was ok. prices are fair and i like the vibe of the place, definitely worth checking out. 3.5 stars

A true relic! Appearance may be worn but everything is clean. Waitress for breakfast was funny, good natured, and seem to love her job. Breakfast was inexpensive and made with fresh ingredients. Danny was there… seems like a cool guy.

Drunk food never tasted so yummy. Wish they had better quality meat products though. Typical processed and cheap kind of place, but it’s cool.

It is the definition of a greasy spoon. You can get breakfast here for less than it costs to make it yourself. The waitresses are all very friendly. Sometimes it is closed for no apparent reason. I make it a point to come here every time I come to Binghamton.

I’m having second thoughts while writing this review whether having only tried one thing on the menu — a phenomenal burger — warrants a four star rating. The cheeseburger at Binghamton’s Danny’s Diner is only rivaled by that of it’s counterpart across the Susquehanna River in Park Diner. I remember the first time I visited the diner a few years ago when they didn’t have an ATM yet and a debit card was all I had on me. I left in despair but my request of furnishing the place with an ATM did not fall on deaf ears. I will always hold this place dear in my heart.

Danny… I don’t know who you are… I don’t know if you are still in this diner… But every time i’m hungry before going to class… My friends come over to you and they leave with happy retarded smiles. I dont because i dont think the food is good quality, but for the price i guess it is what you are paying for. Great for bing but i ate here one time and i was just hoping to not get sick.

Here’s a diner that has been in business since the 1930’s But at this present location since the 70’s. The diner is just that, a diner and what you would expect a diner to look like as you walk in, You will see an old time coffee counter with booths opposite the grill where your food is cooked to your own satisfaction. Another nice thing that I noticed and appreciated was there was no special lighting or loud music. There was only one waitress greeting you with a smile that won’t quit and Danny himself behind the grill cooking to please his customers. After your given a generous portion of food and a refresher on your beverage, all I might add to this review is this, You should not be leaving Danny’s diner hungry. I raise my cup to you. A Great Place to eat.

Its ok– sometimes. If you go… don’t get anything other than simple breakfast food or I promise you will be disappointed. I grew up here and have been going for many years and through many hangovers and I’ve made that mistake several times. Eggs, Bacon, Toast– that’s it. Keep it simple and it’s not that bad. If you’re looking for a professional waitress– this aint the place. They’ll get you what you want and they’re nice, but most the women have been working there for too damn long and don’t care about giving you a «nice experience.» Its cheap so most people come back even if it is lackluster.

Danny’s is a lovable, authentic, no-frills greasy spoon. If you like diners, you can’t do much better than Danny’s. It’s $ 3.50 for two eggs, potatoes and toast served on a yellow plastic plate. Ca-ching! That’s what I’m talking about.

The missus and I were passing Binghamton on our way to PA and we were getting hungry. We pulled up Unilocal on our handy dandy iPhone and found Danny’s Diner. We read the review by ‘Christopher G.’ and decided to give it a shot. We arrived to find the parking lot with about 10 cars(a good sign) and about 10 – 15 customers inside. The general appearance of the diner looks weathered, worn and cheap. But hey, winters are hard in Binghamton, so I just ignored that… We were seated by a pleasent waitress and took a look at the menu. The«special» was meat loaf with mashed potatoes and gravy with vegetables. Sold.(The missus decided on the bbq pulled pork sandwich). Our meals came out on plastic dinner ware. Very similar(if not the same) as what you would see in a hospital in 1981. My meat loaf was technically meat. Pressed into a loaf at some point, and then cut and re-heated on the grill. The mashed potatoes were instant. And the cup(yes, a plastic cup) of carrots were from a frozen bag. The overall taste and«feel» of my meal brought me back to my youth and I began to have flashbacks of my old elementary school lunch meals. The missus took one bite of her bbq pulled pork sandwich and put it down. I asked her how it was and she dared me to try it with her eyes… I took a bite and couldn’t place the flavor. «It’s sloppy joe mix», the missus said to me. «So it is», I responded. Apparently at Danny’s Diner, «BBQ» means sloppy joe sauce. As I looked at the«bbq pulled pork sandwich», some of the meat fell off of the bun and I began to prod it with my fork. As I flipped the meat, we discovered that the pork pieces were layered with old, sliced deli meat of some kind(we know that it was deli meat because it was still in whole form. It was simply covered with the sloppy-joe-pork-substance). I have no idea what kind. Nor am I sure at the moment if the pork pieces that accompanied the deli meat was actually pork… because it looked a lot like dog food. Not kidding. *shudder* Out of hunger, I ate my meat-o-loaf and left the bbq pork sandwich sitting on the table. We then quickly paid our bill and got the hell out of there. We left Binghamton as quickly as possible(that city is a sad visual of the state of our economy and is devestatingly depressing) and headed to PA. 20 minutes later we were in Scranton, PA. We stopped at McDonalds and cherished the meal we received there. Needless to say, do not eat at Danny’s Diner.

How can you not love Danny’s Diner? It’s dirt cheap, got great food, the waitresses are funny and entertaining, and you usually get to see some pretty«interesting» people. Here’s a story about a recent visit to Danny’s Diner. My girlfriend and I used to go to Danny’s a lot while we were going to BU. We hadn’t gone there since we graduated(and moved to Syracuse) last May so a couple of weeks ago we dropped in for a meal. It had been 8 – 9 months since we’d been there so before going in we were wondering if the waitress would recognize us. To our amazement, not only did she recognize us, she remembered our entire orders(including our usual side order of bacon and drinks)!!!

Danny’s Diner do do do do dooo dooo. Danny’s has its own song. I wrote it. I love this place. It’s cheap and good. And the waitresses are delightful. I’d be afraid to get any of them mad, though… they seem tough! Minus one star for the stupid hours(I actually have called more than once to find out if they are open). Oh, they don’t take credit cards either.

Very decent breakfasts in a cool setting. You can’t go wrong if you want some eggs and bacon. Nice people, too.

Danny’s Diner is what every Diner Lover could want. It harkens back to another era where decent homemade roadside food was the norm. Danny’s is a caboose style diner medium/small in size. Their breakfast menu has all the standard fare — eggs, breakfast meats(bacon, ham, sausage), omlettes, and pancakes. I had the short stack with sausage. My wife had the garbage omlette, which despite its questionable name contained an assortment of yummy vegetables with bacon. Both meals were solid diner food, although I sampled some of my wife’s omlette and found it to be really really good. As with many diners, the best part of the experience is the interactions with the waitresses. As our waitress was laying down the napkins and silverware, I heard a «Would you like some coffee?» I replied«Yes, I would love some.» There was a pause. I looked up at my waitress and realized that it was not her who had uttered the question, but her counterpart to another set of customers on the other side of the diner. She smiled. «I guess you didn’t know I was a vantriloquist.» Then she started laughing. She then turns to the cooks and re-tells the whole interaction. They start laughing. Then she yells the same story to the other waitress. She starts laughing. Then she turns back to me and pretends to do a vantriloquist act. It was all very funny, particularly since I was in my pre-morning coffee mode, which is to say, very very sleepy. So I wholeheartedly recommend Danny’s as a great neighborhood roadside diner. The food is standard diner fair but good. The staff there is great, and at best, very entertaining. Enjoy. [For an additional opinion, check out this review on . Side note, will some website please consolidate all the restaurant review sites on the web. I mean, I love Unilocal, but there are at over a dozen prominent food/review sites. Way too many, and a pain in the ass if I’m just trying to search good places to eat based solely on geographic locations. Ok, rant done. Check out the link]
