I used to come here a lot, but now that I’m married with children I pretty much only come here for music if there’s a show I want to see. That’s not meant to take anything away from it. This is a total townie dive bar, and it does it well. Cheap prices, good service, and live music often. Plus I have the benefit of usually running into someone I know here, which always helps. I saw a recommendation on here to avoid the draft beer, which I would definitely agree with. But other than than that if you dislike people in suits, paying $ 7 for a beer, and snotty stuck up kids who are in town for 4 years or less, come here.

The bar version of the word«yucky» Cheap beer, «interesting» crowd, the place needs to be majorly renovated and cleaned up. Or better yet — shut down. It reeks and is just plain yucky. I personally hope the City of Binghamton shuts this place down — this is the kind of place that doesn’t belong to a location seconds away from downtown. Not because it is a bar but because it is a shitty bar that smells bad and showcases the kind of people opposite to the best that the Binghamton can offer. Even a more embarrassing fact — the owner of this smelly pub ran to be Binghamton’s mayor(Fortunately unsuccessfully). A guy who can’t run a bar in a city full of beer drinking college students… Funny that every time the New York Times writes a story about how forgotten the southern tier area has become they go to this pub and interview their clientele.

People say«dive bar» like it’s a bad thing! But if a dive bar is a cool place w/awesome drink pricing, great personable crowd, good live bands, & a place that everyone knows your name, cheers! I’m home!

it’s a total dive bar, but i love dive bars. this place is not for everybody, in fact, most of the college kids walk right by it on their way to the trendy state street bars, and that’s what i love about it, this is a place for townies! live music pretty much every weekend, really cool that there’s a place like this to support the local scene. on the negative side, don’t buy any of the draft beers, there’s a chance the kegs aren’t hooked up to the right beer you order and you don’t know how old the beer is, keg beer isn’t pasturized so it keeps fermenting as it ages. service varies, there was this one girl Angie who used to work there and she was great! total cutie and very friendly and attentive. there’s some red head named amber that replaced her and she’s just ok. kinda mean sometimes but usually ok. if you’re looking for a true binghamton experience and want to meet some colorful characters while drinking cheap cans of PBR, this is your place.
