I LOVE this place. Cute, affordable and unique jewelry. There are many different options for everyone’s style. Customer service was fantastic and I can’t wait to go back!

Very cute boutique and unique jewelry! If I didn’t have my 2 year old with me I’d be there much longer! The customer service was great too.

I love this place! The selection of handmade jewelry is gorgeous and fits almost any price range. I bought a very pretty leather purse at a reasonable price and some quirky 50’s-style gag gifts. I’ve always been a fan of the Blue Q brand. The fitted t-shirts for sale were nice too, and I really liked the pro-LGBT ones, which are hard to come by in the South. The owner is very nice and helpful, plus the gold 1920’s cash register is a nice touch. Definitely check this store out if you’re downtown.

Charm is a fantastic local shop packed with jewelry that ranges from quirky and eclectic to dainty and pretty to bold and statement-making. Walking into the shop seems like walking into a jewelry box — it’s bright and jewel-toned with interesting, fun pieces in every facet of the store. The owner of this shop is usually here, and she’s worked as a stylist, so she has great taste. She’s really helpful in helping to find pieces that fit your personal style and look, and she’s also very good at finding gifts for other people — just show her a picture of the person you want to buy for and tell her a few things about them, and she’ll find a perfect gift. There’s a good range of prices at Charm, too — you can find trinkets for around $ 10, and you can invest something that lasts longer, too. Jewelry cases lining the walls hold all kinds of unique pieces, some from local artists. Charm also carries a range of accessories like bags and purses, some stationary, and sometimes candles and really small housewares — most of these are on the quirky and funny side. Located on 2nd Avenue North just across the street from Urban Standard, Charm is definitely worth a quick trip.

This place(and its owner) is so much fun. She sells really nice costume jewelry. Some of it is new, some vintage and some remade in her own distinct style. But it doesn’t end there. There are purses, stationary, cards, sunglasses, quirky wallets and other accessories too numerous and insane to list. The owner’s flare for design and display are unequaled outside of New York City(where she is from, by the way). When I need a special gift she always come through and makes me look good. Charm is on Second Avenue, but it is second to none.

Hands down best spot for eclectic jewels and accessories. There’s also a fierce/fabulous shopkeeper with crazy blingin’ spectacles that will give you the skinny on why you’re not as cool as you should be. Locally-owened/operated…need I say more?

Such a great, selection of jewelry and very reasonably priced. I haven’t found a place with this great of stuff anywhere else. The owner is awesome and so helpful. She also has the amazing Papaya stationary which is so hard to find. All in all just an amazing experience and atmosphere. You absolutely have to check it out if you want a true downtown experience and also if you want amazing jewelry that no one else has!

Strolling around trying to kill some time before my flight i wandered into this store. I got attracted to the eclectic mix of accessories it had. There’s something for every occasion that would make a statement. I ended up getting two cute necklaces. One for myself which was a cute little hammer and one for my friend a cute happy whale. It’s definitely a cute store to drop in and find some cute items you usually won’t find anywhere else. If you’re looking for something different, come here.

I LOVE this store. The owner is a lovely, funny lady! She has great taste and always helps me pick out just the right pieces for people. She is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with! If you need jewelry for yourself or to give as a gift, this is the store to go to! The prices are extremely reasonable and the pieces are quality. Also, the place has a great funky vibe, that is both inviting and interesting. I’ve also sold things to the owner and she has always been fair, honest, and easy to deal with. Do yourself a favor, and check out Charm. You won’t regret it!

I have visited this store numerous times since moving back to Birmingham. I find something I must have every time I go in — last time it was fun, way cute, cheap sunglasses. :) It’s eclectic and fashionable décor, jewelry and the like pleases the eye, as well as the pocketbook. You are bound to find something beautiful, fun and different each time you visit. The service is second to none, as well. I love that I discovered this affordable, unique boutique right down the street and recommend you check it out — it’s a throwback to yesteryear while also offering modern trends for the fashionista!

I attempted to return two rings: one turned out to be silver and the other did not properly fit. Also, I’d left some of my jewelry as trade and/or consignment. The owner was far from fair. She gave me three cheap pieces back and took the two rings that we paid 80 something dollars for(we have the receipt). Furthermore, she traded me an «expensive» ring for a couple of my pieces, which her trade turned out to be a fake. My husband and I attempted to handle the situation classy and diplomatically. Instead we were dog-cussed and she did not refund the 80. + dollars for the two rings we purchased. Note: these rings were not traded. She kept both our money and the merchandise. What we received back was not marked to the high prices she traded the fake ring for. She cussed me and insulted both of us. My husband had to tell her not to treat his wife in such a manner. In general, the owner cusses too much. Half the time she is charming, though fake, meddling in town gossip. The other half of the time, she’s showing her true ugly nature to repeat customers. Because of this, my friends and I will not return to be parted from our hard earned money in this economy by someone who is too emotional to run a business. We had hoped for a fair and pleasant resolution, but the owner was too ugly and literally grabbed the rings we paid for like a 4 yr old. Shop at Charm if you want to deal with drama and be dog-cussed. As for me, I have too much class for such silliness.

I bought a wonderful vintage necklace and a fun card for my wife’s birthday. The owner is really funny and helpful. This store has a great vibe with a cool looking black chandelier. They carry necklaces, bracelets, scarfs, handbags, very cool Edison light bulbs, art, greeting cards, magenets, and this and thats. The prices were surprisingly inexpensive. Great place for gifts.
