Normally I’m not a fan of steakhouse chain restaurants, but Flemings stands above the others. Our meals are always wonderful, prepared just as we’ve asked, with impeccable service. And that is high praise, fantastic service is really rare. This is true of the Flemings in Novi too. One more comment, I like that they have a small-ish(6oz?) filet. Very manageable!

If you’re willing to drop a dime on a great steakhouse THIS is the one. My fiancé and I went on a Thursday night, not very busy at all, we got a booth and the hostess made sure to call me by name(I made reservations) the whole staff was extremely personal and friendly. Our server Evan was AMAZING. He was so attentive and again, personal. The food was beyond great, all we could talk about the whole dinner is how tasty the food was. For the 2 of us our bill was $ 140, that’s including steak, crab legs, 2 sides, dessert and a cocktail. We will definitely be back!

My fiancé and I walked in for NYE dinner, And I really didn’t know what to expect. Judging the atmosphere I seemed a little old school compared to the new chefs/restaurants popping up in Detroit. But the food was solid. Cooked with care and every dish had craft. It’s not cheap, but for us it’s the kinda place you’d go once a year. Can’t wait to warm up the leftovers! Happy New Year!

Meh, this is a tough one. Our dinner was solid but not spectacular. I had a very good steak and they easily accommodated a large party on the night before Thanksgiving but it just is too darn expensive for what it is. There are so many other good restaurants now that are a fraction of the price that I find myself wondering if there is room for this many premium steakhouses in suburban Detroit. For my money($ 55 a steak), I think I would go to Cap Grille before returning here. It just doesn’t have the ambiance to take on this kind of pricing strategy, at least for my money.

What made fleming’s so great was our server David! Best service yet and my husband and I eat here often! Very prompt, helpful with the menu and extremely friendly and polite. Food is always good, but we will only make our reservations with David from here on out!

We had a private room upstairs. The Woodward room. It was a nice quiet place for our group of 10. They had appetizers brought in as we started. Calamari, a cold plate of lobster, shrimp, and crab, and something that looked like potato skins. I stay away from potatoes so k never got a chance to check that one out. The calamari was not memorable. At least not good memories. The prices were smaller and a bit dry. Have had better. I’d probably complain more but I didn’t pay the bill! The cold plate was great though. Nice big shrimp cocktail. Nice sized lobster tail. Crab legs were a bit small but okay enough. For a salad I had a Caesar salad. A bit heavy in the dressing for my liking. Finally had the wagyu New York strip. As I said earlier I wasn’t paying! It’s a $ 58 steak but a great steak. Do it when you don’t care about spending the money! Also had mushrooms and beans as sides. Considering our room was upstairs and you had to go through the bar to get to us, we had great service. The food also arrived within 30 min of ordering which I think is great for a nice steakhouse. This is a great place to have a nicer indulgent meal when entertaining or celebrating.

We had a dinner gift card so we started in the bar for happy hour and moved to a table for dinner. Service and food were excellent. The waiter, bartender, and manager were all very nice and helpful. The filet was fantastic. I am surprised at the negative reviews. We did have a gift card which made the bill easier, but we will return.

I was torn between giving it a 3 or 4 star, because 3.5 isn’t an option. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the service has always been excellent. Their servers are professional and attentive, and the drinks here are always excellent. I can’t give it 5 stars, because while the steak is quite delectable, it’s not in my «top 5» favorite steakhouses in Metro Detroit. It is definitely worth a visit or two if you’re a steak lover, like myself. Other than that, the desserts are fantastic, and I simply ADORE the lobster tempura!

We choose Fleming’s for our special date nights! This is my absolute favorite spot for delicious food & excellent service! Most of our celebration meals start here! I enjoy their iron crusted bone in ribeye the best. Followed by a baked Brie, and dessert is a must! Ask for Ethem, he’s our favorite server!

First time visting and the service was great. Dress code I would say dress casual or better, but I live to get dolled up!!! The food options were steak, but it’s a steakhouse. I ordered Rosemary Chicken(leg quater) with Onion Rings(huge), it was ok, but the dessert menu and my drink Clover Club were excellent. I gave Flemings 4 stars because sides should be included in the entrée and I wasn’t too impressed with the menu. Our bill for 4 came up to $ 280.

Went here for a night out with no kids and I was not impressed ! Only friend and I both ordered filets pan seared. I ordered mine MR it came out well done. We had to flag someone down town them know my steak was not cooked properly. Thus brought me a new steak and it was the end piece with fat on it and not pan seared. My friends meal was cold by the time I received mine. They took the steak off the bill. We do not go out that much to a nice place since we have little ones at home and I was so excited to have a good steak. I will not be back.

Overall this is a pretty nice place. Sat at the bar with the boyfriend. Our server seemed disinterested in our presence and stood aloof when we were clearly waiting just for the menu’s. The wine list was presented in a slightly different manner than what I’m normally used to and the glasses are priced at 3, 6 and 9 ounces accordingly. If you are into cabernet sauvignon, I really enjoyed the Oberon, Napa Valley. Went straight to entrée: I had the chilean sea bass. This was served very soft and meaty in a flavorful tomato broth– Very good, highly recommend. The boyfriend had the salmon which was equally delicious. The portions are sizable so bring your appetite. Dinner was pretty pricey and its going to hurt the wallet. Food was a 4 but service brings the rating down to a 3. Ambiance was nice as well.

Location– 5 star Food– 4 Ambience-2.5−3 Service– 3 I went there just because I had $ 40 coupon from American Express. It was my birthday dinner and my wife made reservations. Ambience– We got there on time and in 5 – 6 min they got us seated. Both of us were expecting something far more better experience than what we got. Tables were close to each other. Overall restaurant was very loud and annoying. I did not like chairs and they were uncomfortable. But I was happy with just the thought that I am going to get some good steak. Service– service was something which made me really mad. Guy servicing us was rude and he seemed not at all interested. For through out our dinner we never got feeling that he wants us there. Food– my wife is vegetarian. She almost had no options except sides and some salads. Apart from that they do not have any veg options. Steak– I got prime New York strip($ 53). It was good tasting and made exactly the way I asked for. I was happy about that but none of their food comes with sides. You have to buy sides separately.(Each side is $ 10 – 12) By the time we were done with food, we were not happy with the place to stay there for some desserts. We asked for our check n got out. Overall it was a good place. Nice decent crowd, expensive food but just very loud. I hated the service and attitude by our waiter. They gave me $ 25 gift card for my next visit as it was my birthday but I doubt I will use that soon.

My boyfriend and I went for Birmingham Restaurant Week, and overall enjoyed our experience. Our salads were great. The steaks and mashed potatoes were OUTSTANDING. It’s all about the wine sauce :) For dessert, the menu said«assorted mini desserts.» Naturally, I was super excited for this platter of tiny things! What we got, though, were two chocolate truffles. That is the OPPOSITE of assorted mini desserts. This was enough of a disappointment for them to lose a star. Just advertise honestly. That’s all I ask. Side note: While we were eating dinner, there was a waiter moving chairs around and carrying them over his head. He was passing by a guy dressed in a suit with a name tag who I’m assuming is the manager. The manager just stared at him and did not move out of the way, so the waiter tried to squeeze by with the chair and accidentally kicked over a chair at an empty table. The look on the manager’s face was absolutely frightening. I wouldn’t be surprised if the waiter got fired. I mean, I get that you’re trying to be a fancy place and all, but 1) you didn’t get out of the guy’s way so he could get by and 2) it is SO not the end of the world for a chair to fall over, especially if no one’s even sitting nearby. It made me nervous about how employees might be treated here, so I won’t be going out of my way to come back.

For being a chain restaurant Flemings never lets me down. I’ve heard negative reviews from friends however the three times I’ve gone in the past year have been nothing but delicious. Appetizers were perfect. The filet was cooked to perfection(med rare) and the service was exceptional.

HAPPYHOURREVIEW I always get the prime burger for 6 dollars here. It is juicy and delicious and comes with cheese, bacon, and a side of fries! Fleming’s always has a happy hour from 5 – 6:30 every single day! There are other appetizers and drinks on the menu that are also offered for 6 dollars, but I highly recommend the prime burger for the best bang for your buck! Top class meal for a budget price. Happy Unilocaling! Edit: prime burger now 7 bucks here. Still worth it IMHO.

5 stars for food! Got a GC and used it. Never been there before. Although Unilocal said attire was dressy, I called ahead and was told jeans and tennis shoes were ok. Still, dress nice when you go. Dark atmosphere, very romantic. Nice décor. Wine list on iPads. Front area seemed more like a relaxed high end bar, it was very busy. A little disappointed that we had to wait to have a table set. When we walked in there were numerous empty tables or dirty tables. Kind of strange that tables weren’t ready as the waiter was very attentive and didn’t let my glass go empty. Menu was pricey(but this is Birmingham anyway), but well worth it! Food was excellent! They are known for their steaks, and we eat a lot of steaks– Fleming’s was delicious. I had a perfect meal, my new fave restaurant. The bread comes to the table freshly baked with 2 kinds of spread– a Gorgonzola mix and a tomato(?), both good but the Gorgonzola was refreshing. The pork belly appetizer in s cherry sauce– soooo good!($ 16.50). I could have that as a meal! We ordered the dry aged rib eye with scallops and asparagus– great nutty flavor on the steak, both steak and scallops were cooked perfectly. My fave was the filet mignon($ 40) with lobster($ 12.50), bernaise and caviar. My new fave dish! Creamed spinach was good too!($ 10?) Total for an app, 2 steaks and an added lobster was $ 157– we will go again!

Hostess: ok. Our reservations were at 4:15 they opened at 4 we arrived at 3:50 and he did not ask us if we wanted to be seated even thou there was no one in the restaurant. We sat there till 4:15 Water boy: great my glass was never empty. Server: Great! He was very friendly and good at his job. Ambiance: low light, upscale The food: ok. To start they bring bread and cheese spread to the table that’s tasty. I ordered the swordfish and a side of Mac and cheese. The swordfish was good the sauce it’s served with was very good. The Mac and cheese was ok. Nothing special. My dinner buddy had the prime rib I would say he’s an expert of this cut of meat and he thought it was just ok not a $ 50 piece of meat. The king crab was good. I have eaten here a few times and it’s not wort the price you pay. I would say go to j Alexander and take your extra $ 100 and buy a new toy at best buy.
