Keep going. Find another restaurant. You will have time to grow your own vegetables for your omelet by the time they serve you. Waited over an hour for cold food. Saw 5 tables seated, eat and leave before we got our food. The bathrooms weren’t very clean either.

Waited 30 mins got no service. I got up and left no one who worked there seem to care. Will not return.

I can see why the bad review. The wait time here are long to get service and having your food brought out. I had a table next to me that was waiting for the waitress to come back but she took so long they end up leaving with out paying. Although the food was untouched.
I’ve waited almost 45 minutes before my food came out. I orders a 4 pieces of chicken and water.
If you do come here to eat expect slow service.

Went in on a Saturday morning. Wait was too long. Many open tables but some wait staff had not reported for work. Will never come back here. This is not acceptable for a busy Saturday morning.

Eating here reminded me why I don’t eat at IHOP. It was way below acceptible performance on all measures… cleanliness, service, food quality, and especially food taste. Having reminded myself, I can go back to not eating at IHOP for another decade or so until I forget again.

I’ve never heard of scrambled eggs and cheese being cooked with the cheese from macaroni. Like what ?? Our server Tracy was awful she was rude from the beginning served me burnt hash browns and when I asked for a new set of eggs she literally came out with a dime size of eggs on the plate. I would NEVER eat at this IHOP again.

I’m never very impressed with IHOP, so 2 stars is actually good. Usually this location is not near as bad as other Birmingham locations. But last time I went here was not a good experience. They were advertising their unlimited pancakes with the purchase of specific meals. Well, you can get unlimited pancakes if your waitress ignores you. Eventually I had to flag down what I think was a manager and ask her. Then it was another 20 minutes before two more pancakes. I got the check before I got my pancakes, no joke. The waitress was so far away and had her head stuck on the computer for so long that it was impossible to flag her down. The reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is that on average this location has not been terrible – for an IHOP. But I think this last experience was just terrible enough that it may be my last. As my girlfriend put it – the only thing that arrived quickly was the check.

The night crew is sub par at best. I ordered shelled (real) eggs and they came out looking like egg hash. Asked twice for certain items, no refills. Was not busy and our waitress Felicia was very rude in a silent way. lol Won’t be back to this location unless I see new management.

At prior visits I’ve thought food was average as was the service. However, the last time I visited this establishment I started questioning the health rating at this location. I witnesses a server clean a spill on the floor with a rag then wipe the side of a cup he was serving to another table before throwing it back on tray where another person grabbed it to clean a table. I realize this may happen at a variety of restaurants but when it is happening in the front with customers present I only wonder what happens in the back where customers can not see what’s going on. A few seconds after witnessing this our food came to table with the server who originally used rag, I couldn’t bring myself to eat it nor let my kids eat theirs so we came home and I cooked breakfast instead of having a morning off.

This restaurant has some bad reviews, but I just didn’t have a bad experience. I took my 87 year old uncle, 86 year old aunt and 78 year old mother to this IHOP. Fun times. Trying to get three of them in and out of the restaurant took forever. In addition to physical problems, they all have dementia. I spent four whole days with people I couldn’t communicate with. Sorry. I just forgot that I’m not talking to my psychiatrist.
Back to the review — We were immediately seated in a nice comfortable booth. Our waitress (why didn’t I get her name?) was just precious. I think she thought I was insane, but she laughed at everything I said. It’s kind of fun to be able to say funny things about the people you’re with when they can’t understand a word you’re saying.
I had the spinach and mushroom omelet with hollandaise sauce. Why doesn’t Unilocal recognize the word «hollandaise?» It is a common food word. Anyway, I’ve spent four days with people I can’t talk to, so I’m desperate. They’re sleeping now. Peace. So anyway, my omelet was delicious. I never have loved IHOP, but I was really happy with my breakfast. The grits were also very good. I couldn’t eat every thing, but my mother devoured her senior 55+ breakfast sampler and my aunt and uncle devoured their belgium waffles and bacon. I was the only one with food left on my plate.

It is what it is, so you can’t expect The Broken Egg or brunch at Cheesecake Factory. I’d never suggest it voluntarily but the times I’ve been here it seemed fairly clean with decent service. If you’re invited and they’re buying, don’t skip a free lunch. Stick to the pancakes, or the Chicken Spinach Crêpe if you need some protein.

Was pleasantly surprised with quality of breakfast on a recent trip and the staff is very friendly.

The service was slow, the table was not clean. They weren’t very busy, there may have been 10 customers in there all together. The food was simply OK. The has browns were greasy. I had to wait for 15 minutes at the front register along with 6 other patrons to pay the bill because he was out back smoking. He came in smelling of cigarettes and never even apologized for not being available. I will never go back to this place and i’ll caution anyone who thinks that this place is a good option. If i wanted a dirty table and shitty service, I would go to Huddle House… Actually, the service, and food is better at most other options like Waffle House and Huddle House on hwy 280.
