I stepped in post workout in search of a dress that I wanted to try on before purchasing online. Unfortunately, it was a late-​Spring item that was already out of stock at this location. The ladies behind the counter were courteous but a wee-​bit judgey when I came in looking for a sale item (no sales rack in sight, bummer). When I inquired about a dress with a similar cut to check sizing they directed me to one that barely passed muster and pointed me in the direction of the changing room. This area, and the entire store, are meticulously manicured and very clean. Nonetheless, I felt like the human element was a little chilly. I’ll be back as JCrew items, particularly the party dresses, are classic and all-​too-​perfect for open season as a wedding guest but I’ll be sure not expect warm reception the next visit. No shame in my sale-​loving game!
