I just had to note each time I am in Birmingham I make it a point to go to Shain Park everytime… The laughter of kids playing, among the Shoppers and churning fountain with the sounds of birds and the smells of being in Birmingham!
The statue in the Park is also a rare piece of architecture and a great place to take pictures!

Southfield, MI
This park is gorgeous. I used to come here every Thursday in the summers here with my family for their weekly concerts. Shain Park has changed a lot since those days (RIP the climbing tree) but is still a beautiful meeting place.
In the summer it is host to many Birmingham events/​fairs/​concerts. They even have a dog height drinking fountain, I mean come on, that is adorable! If you are in the area I encourage you to stop by and relax for a bit in the park. There is parking everywhere (all struct
