Sooo Goood!!! The chocolate chip cookies (with and without pecans) and lemon squares were my favorites. I tried the cinnamon rolls and the orange rolls. Though I was fine with the cinnamon rolls, I wasn’t a fan of the orange ones. They weren’t bad — just didn’t enjoy them. I’m really looking forward to going back and trying their cobblers, cakes, and pies.
I live in the Washington, DC area where there are several GF bakeries, but none come close to The Funky Muffin!

Lots of cool stuff at this gluten free bakery. Without a doubt my favorite is the lemon squares. Really really good. Also had a brownie and something with lots of cinnamon on it that was incredible. If you or someone in your family has a gluten sensitivity issue and has a sweet tooth this place is for you. Very friendly folks there and they will bake you something that you will love.

I’m moving to Alabama and I had to make sure there was a gluten free bakery… thankfully this place opened. It’s small so the variety is not so much but it still did not disappoint. I had the vanilla cupcake and cheesecake brownie… YUMMMMM. It did not feel like I was eating GF. I’m a huge sweets eater so this place definitely gets my vote! Thankfully though it’s 45 minutes away or else I would be there daily.

Finally. A gluten free bakery in Birmingham– Halleluah! The baked treats here are TOO yummy, Tried the oatmeal cookies, wedding cookies, cupcakes, and muffins. All delicious. None of that «funky” — pardon the pun– texture that is synonomous with most GF baked goods. The only negative was the lack of variety in term of selection. A bakery usually carries with it the connotation of LOTS of choices. They just opened so hopefully they’ll expand their choices for walk in customers. They do also offer custom cakes– from red velve to carrot– available by special order only– but I can’t report on those. Yet ;)
