It’s like the old saying goes«don’t judge a book by it’s cover.» This place doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s probably some of the best Mexican food I have ever ate. My favorite thing on the menu is the enchilada plate with pork smothered in the green chili. You can’t go wrong with 3 enchiladas, homemade rice, beans, sour cream and guacamole salad for $ 11 bucks. Every time I come here the smells coming out of the kitchen are pretty amazing. They take a lot of pride in serving great food. They make homemade chips and the salsas are pretty damn good. I like the green salsa, has this great flavor of tomatillos and a little spice. Restaurant is always clean the the staff is very friendly. Drinks do no come with the meals, this is some people’s complaints but it’s really not a big deal. They have a verity of Mexican sodas, Coke in the glass bottles, bottled water and beers. Definitely stop in and check this place out.

Decent food, I just wish the meals came with drinks! And the service is always good and fast, unless the younger woman is taking orders. She has ruined a handful of my experiences because of her attitude, and by acting like I was inconveniencing her by placing an order. I haven’t gone back since my last bad experience with her.

Very good Mexican food! No reason to ever go to any other Mexican restaurant in town. Prices are reasonable. Fresh chips and salsa and sometimes guacamole if you dine in. My new favorite is the lengua tacos.

Pleasantly surprised!!! Never been to Arnaldo’s before. We’re visiting Californians looking for authentic Mexican Food and Arnaldo’s did not disappoint. Love the fact that Arnaldo himself answered the telephone when we could not find his restaurant. We’ll be back!!!

Food was great. Guy in cowboy hat shouts your order to cook in Spanish. Lots of sauces to add if you want. Homemade chips. Would do it again.

Being from California it was not the best Mexican food i have had but it was good. The chips were very good but my carne asada burrito was on the dry side. Needed more guacamole and some pico in it. Service was fast and friendly.

This restaurant lives up to its claim to be Mexican. Authentic, not junk Mexican. Beans were fresh cooked, not refried: fresh tomato, onion, cilantro, and bacon added for additional flavor. The taco meal came with 3 tacos: choice of beef, chicken, and pork. One of each, if you wanted. Carnitas Verde was generous and delicious. In addition, we had attentive, friendly service. If I was not just passing through Bismarck, and lived here, I would be a regular!

Coming through town on business, I stopped because of the high reviews. This has to be the best Mexican food in North Dakota! I got a pork burrito, and a chicken tamale. Both were super hot, and absolutely delicious. No matter what you order be sure to get some of their tortilla chips and salsa. Absolutely incredible. Restaurants like this don’t exist this far north.

Delicious!!! I was traveling for work and found this place based on Unilocal reviews. I got the chimichanga. Sooooooo good! Despite the high prices, sketchy and smelly location, I would go back again and again if I lived here. They do need different salsa for their chips and their prices are too high.

The BEST Mexican food in North Dakota, hands down! The food here is outstanding and the only authentic Mexican I’ve found. You can tell everything is made from scratch. The tamales are amazing as well as all the sauces and salsas. I just moved here from the west coast in December and this is the best meal I’ve had since I’ve moved. It reminds me of eating in Mexico as well as Baja. I can’t wait to return!

Pretty legit. Grew up around lots of great Mexican food so I was pleased when Arnaldo’s opened. Some so called Mexican restaurants are um, well disgusting. They have no clue what Mexican food should be. Not the case with Arnaldo’s. Tortas are great, shrimp, carne. Menudo anyone? Hours can be irregular but oh well. I’ll live with it. Rock on.

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place just by how it looks on the outside, I wasn’t expecting much since it looked like just another average restaurant trying to fulfill that need for a great mexican food place in North Dakota. Well I was pleasantly surprised! This place was amazing!!! The carne asada plate is something straight out of a little mexican place in south Texas. I was instantly transported with all the flavors and smells as I opened my togo box. As you walk in the front door you don’t have much room to move around in and you can see straight into the kitchen, but don’t let this fool you into thinking they don’t know what they are doing, what they lack in visual effects they greatly make up in food quality. They make their tortilla chips fresh with every order, they use only the most authentic cooking techniques to create that amazing taste, and the food is made quickly from the time you order it. I only wish I lived closer to this place as I only make my way to Bismark once a month and feel like I need to stock up on togo plates to keep the experience going for at least another day. If you feel the need for mexican food, this is the only place you need to visit as they will satisfy every craving you may have for good food. This one is on the recommended list.

We love this little place. Admittedly, not the prettiest building or locale, but the food more than makes up for it! Their carne asada meal is delicious and the freshly prepared tortilla chips and salsa are amazing. This is the most authentic Mexican food you will find in Bismarck, without a doubt.

I love this place. It reminds me of places I have been to in Cabo Just off the beaten path place. The carnitas verde is my favorite. Their warm homemade chips and salsa are the best. This is the only place in town I will eat Mexican. It’s really busy at lunch time but go around 11:30 or so and it won’t be so busy. The only thing that is a little confusing is the ordering process. The menu is hard to understand if you don’t know Spanish or Mexican food. Their process of ordering food and bringing out to you is a little off the wall but the food makes up for this. They have a very good selection of hot sauces. I must go to place.

Love this place. Staff is super friendly. Most authentic Mexican food in town. It’s a little divey and reminds me of the places I used to visit in the Phoenix area.

This place reminded me of Mexican food you can get from California! It was an overall great experience. The people were friendly and the food was amazing. My boyfriend and his family says it’s the best Mexican food in town. The exterior and interior match with vibrancy. Kinda like a hole-in-the-wall type of place, but that’s how you know it’s authentic!

Authentic Mexican Food. Fast Service. Latin music playing whole time your eating. Made me feel like I was in Guatemala again. I got the nachos that were very tasty.
