So good! A bit pricey but honestly I’ve never craved a sandwich in my whole life –except the Studebaker from Sonnets. I was bummed when the pinehurst location closed so I was so excited when I saw they opened one up in the bread poets location. Friendly, fast service– I used to call ahead when I was on lunch break nearby and all I has to do was zoom in and zoom out. Bread poets bread + fresh ingredients = win!

This place is decent as far as sandwich shops go. I would definitely buy their bread, as it was delicious. They also have some fresh and tasty toppings. So you would think the sandwich would have been mind-blowing… but it just wasn’t. I think it would be much better if they toasted their breads. My sandwich was made kind of sloppily and fell apart as I ate it. I would probably go again, and ask about toasting the sandwich.

I had been wanting to try Sonnets for a while but my mood had to be just right for a sandwich. The wait was worth it! Pros: The sandwiches were great(I ordered the Garden for me, and the Lentini for my mate), and I appreciated the unusual selection. There aren’t a lot of places that offer sprouts, avocado, or hummus in your sandwich. Not to mention, I had three varieties of bread to choose from, half a dozen types of chips, and of course a good selection of sandwiches/stacks to pick from. Cons: There were too many newbies working the line. I wanted to get in, get out, and eat… but the cheese had to be placed just so, and the carrot sticks had to align just right. I’m confident the speed will improve once the sandwich artists get more line time under their belts. Might be a little pricey for every-day eating: $ 12 and change for two hearty sandwiches. But, we all know eating healthy(healthfully?) costs more than junk food. Yum. Everything tasted fresh and was made correctly. I’ll be back!

I was skeptical about visiting Sonnets. I was never a huge fan of Poet’s bread, but thought I’d give it a chance in order to taste some local food. I had the tuna salad on the sunflower bread. I’m not usually a fan of sunflower seeds(and other assorted sticks and twigs) in my bread, but it was surprisingly tasty. I had to think twice about how many stars to give this sandwich shop. I was going to go with three stars, but went with four because I’m all about patronizing locally owned businesses and this one makes a pretty good sandwich.

Unique sandwiches made with Bread Poets bread. All the sandwiches are named after authors and everyone I’ve tried has been good. I may give it more stars if they expand their menu. Located in the Pinehurst Square across from Old Navy and Kohls.
