Went here for lunch with 3 other friends after receiving a $ 20 comp for this specific restaurant. We arrived at about 2pm and the restaurant was pretty empty. We stood at the«wait to be seated» podium for a few minutes and decided to just have a seat at the bar. Upon sitting, the woman behind the bar raised her eyebrows, sighed and went in the back. Soon she returned and gave us menus and offered drinks. She brought us waters quickly and ended up being pretty nice. Myself and one other in our party did the«unlimited soup and salad bar» Upon ordering I told the waitress that it was out of lettuce, she said she would let her manager know, it must be a pretty large task. She checks with us after 5 minutes and we let her know that its still not out. After another 5 minutes a gentlemen comes out with a cart and fresh lettuce. Upon putting out the lettuce he begins taking away many of the other items. Mushrooms, croutons, olives, etc to refill them. I mean. It just doesn’t make any sense. They were half empty containers but why cant the salad bar just be consistently fully stocked? I asked«can I have some of the things you’re taking?» and he abruptly responded«GOSENORA!» Yikes. So I quickly grab the things I need and we eat. By the time we had our plates the other 2 in our party were halfway through their meals. They both received the wrong bread. The overall experience was such a mess, we didn’t go back to the salad bar which could hardly be considered«unlimited» since it was never fully stocked. No wonder the place was empty, we won’t be back.

Service is slow, 47 minutes till we we’re served our food, the food itself is opposite if the wait, awesome!.The breakfast menu is serious, big portions and good food!

Slow. Slow. Slow. And don’t arrive 10 minutes before the end of breakfast or they will put you on a ‘waiting list’(even though there are lots of available tables) and then seat when lunch begins. Cheeky.

We went back a few weeks ago, granted it was a Tuesday night and slow again… However, we were greeted and served promptly and our food was pretty delicious. We are happy to see improvement!

Chips and salsa — chips were burnt and greasy. They took them off the bill and were good about it. Tried to stay simple. Burger and fries and pull pork and chips. It was ok. Nothing special but not terrible. Burger was cut in half, just the patty not the bun which was a new one for me. There aren’t many easy options. It was ok. Next time might have dinner in Denver before coming up.

Well, you get a lot of food and you won’t finish it because, well, it sucks. Wife has the chicken fried chicken with mashed and seasoned veg. Never tasted chicken fried chicken like that. Bad, horrible funky. Potatoes were unseasoned and looked old. I ordered the full rack of ribs. Not bad but overdone. BBQ sauce was overpowering and ribs were a little bit too peppery.

We arrived late on a Friday evening and were seated quickly. Service was quick and friendly. Being late, my wife and I split a pulled pork barbecue sandwich, which was very tasty. The cole slaw is served on the side; add it to the sandwich. Good fries. Onion rings had a smooth, tasty breading.

One star because their fried pickles are delicious. Other than that… Don’t waste your time. Slowest service I have ever experienced for mediocre food. And there wasn’t a crowd at all! Maybe three, four other tables? Unacceptable.

Food was good but service was extremely unfriendly. Server was combative. The manager walked around with his hands behind his back and bragged how his job was to do nothing more. Hostess rolled her eyes when we asked for a table that enabled us to see the BB game. Had to wait a massive amount of time to pay. Where’s John Taffer when you need him?

I’ve had several visits to O & H Express, the snack bar area tucked in the back of the Lady Luck(not to be confused with the mainstream restaurant upstairs, Otis & Henry’s Bar and Grill, where service and food haven’t been quite as good.) This is a surefire stopoff for hot dogs, beverages, candy, and some of the best pizza I’ve had in Black Hawk. The condiment/pepper bar is a big plus, and it’s always great being able to utilize comp dollars at a place where the prices aren’t too gouged. Friendly staff members, and open very late. The only major drawback is that they’re no longer taking food credit coupons from the mainstream restaurant upstairs, which is really lame if you get a hefty amount of them in the mail each month as I do. Recommended overall.

Great food but service was mediocre. Took forever to order drinks and when we requested to split check the waitress acted obviously annoyed and made remarks to her coworkers in front of us. It’s your typical casino restaurant in that workers expect coupons to be used and sub par tips due to slot machines taking everyone’s money. If you’re in a hurry or looking to grab beers not the place for you

This is my all time favorite place to eat when we go up to the Casinos in Black Hawk. Its great, decent priced, comfort food, and every single time we eat here, we spend less then the buffets, and feel fuller. We usually hit this spot up around brunch, and then spend the afternoon walking it off. Try it out !!

We stayed at the Lady Luck hotel and casino for 2 nights. We got a $ 10 voucher for being new to the casino. Not a big selection to choose from but it was good. Breakfast the next morning wasn’t as good. The potatoes were very greasy as week as my scrambled eggs. We got another discount coupon for playing slots so decided to give dinner another try. There was only one waitress and she could not keep up. I’m not sure who the other woman was but she basically stayed behind the counter and didn’t help her at all. The bus boy was more helpful.

Apparently not too many choices in Black Hawk unless you want to spend a lot. This place however is reasonably priced and food is cooked well. The only downfall is the service. While everyone was pleasant and welcoming it was a bit slow. Compared to my other reviews this ranks a three, but don’t let that discourage you, a three in my book is definitely a repeat visit for Black Hawk. Food is average to good and definitely better than the typical fare in the area. Highly recommended(for Black Hawk), but compared overall it’s average.

On our most recent visit to Blackhawk, we had a late lunch at Otis & Henry’s Bar and Grill. We were warmly greeted when we entered and promptly shown to a table. The restaurant was clean and about 25% full. The wait service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. The food was tasty and the prices for the lunch menu are very reasonable. While it is in a casino, the noise from the casino was very minimal. I plan on trying this place out for breakfast on my next overnight visit to Blackhawk

I live and work in the area, and have eaten at many of the casino restaurants. Otis & Henry’s is the best non-buffet casino restaurant in town. Highlights: * Excellent food quality and preparation. * Beautiful presentation of the food when served. * Generous portions. * A variety of specials. * Very open to substitutions(example: pancakes instead of toast and breakfast potatoes with the breakfast items) * Nicely decorated restaurant with a pleasant view. * Great waitstaff. I’ve never had a bad meal there, but here are some of my favorites: * Chicken tenders — they say they’re hand-breaded, and they really are! Large, tender, moist, and with a great flavor. Substitute the onion rings(also hand-battered) or sweet potato fries for the french fries for a real treat. * The Full House — two eggs, two pieces of bacon, two sausage links, plus breakfast potatoes(not hash browns, and really good), plus toast. If you’re really hungry, ask to substitute the pancakes for the toast and potatoes. * The skillet breakfast — delicious and filling! Three scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, maple sausage, pan gravy and melted cheddar. * Egg white omelet — truly delicious and delicately prepared, with feta cheese, tomatoes, toast and fresh fruit. If you are a Player’s Club member, of course you are eligible for comps and discounts. Even without that, the prices are very reasonable.
