Never again! I chose Walgreens for my usually positive experiences with the company. This time, I experienced total incompetence. I MADEANAPPOINTMENT online, which the website ALLOWEDMETODO, to get a yellow fever and typhoid vaccination. When I showed up for the appointment that the WEBSITEALLOWEDMETOMAKE, on Labor Day, I was greeted by a closed pharmacy. Apparently, the pharmacy closed at 5:00 and never bothered to send any kind of notice via email, call me, or anything else to tell me that the appointment I made was basically null and void. The website SHOULDNOT have allowed me to make the appointment in the first place. I never would have made the trip in the rain and holiday traffic just to leave pissed off and empty handed. What’s even better is that neither the website or anyone there had any price information on the vaccines, since at that point, I wanted to find somewhere cheaper and, I don’t know, COMPETENT?! Needless to say, never again. I will go somewhere else from now on, CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, whatever. I am going somewhere else for vaccinations from now on, even if it means having to travel into Philly or NYC to do it. If you want basic stuff, go here. If you want vaccinations, DON’T BOTHER. UPDATE: EVENMOREINCOMPETENCE. I called and spoke to the pharmacy today and again, more problems. They told me that they don’t even offer one of the shots and they other was possible at a different Walgreens. I call that Walgreens, they tell me to call the national number for the Take Care Clinics. After 10 minutes on hold, what do you know? They don’t even offer that one either! NEVERAGAIN! DON’T USEWALGREENS!
