I’ve been in here a nadful of times. Atmosphere is chill. However, everytime I have been here the staff has never been friendly and are too busy socializing with one another to greet or be prompt with service.

One late night(1 am to be specific), I decided I wanted some wings but driving over to Philly to our favorite bar was out of the question. We looked up local places and decided on Skeeter’s. The wings were delicious and only $ 5! So why only 3 stars? First, paying for food and drinks individually is so inefficient. The bartender rang us out but we still had to wait another 15 minutes for the waitress to come back and ring us out. We also ordered potato skins, packed with bacon but very dry(won’t ever order those again) and I got the Three Olives drink special. I’m not a heavy drinker and those drinks tasted like they had 2 drops of vodka in them. In all, I’ll definitely return. Just for the wings.

Wow! Busy is the word! This is a hidden hot spot! The waitress was speedy and so attentive despite having her hands full of tables and parties! The food was pub style and just delicious! I have nachos and a burger! Fries were crispy! Cooked to taste! Great place. Sports bar atmosphere! I enjoyed it very much. I will be back… Next time for beer.

Good place for drinks during games but we didn’t care for the food. Don’t think we’ll be back.

Probably my most frequented bar. considering I live 3mins from here. The atmosphere is OK. Great place to watch a sporting event tho. especially for birds games on Sunday’s. Solid wings and cheap beer. The food here is probably its highest point.

I really do like this place. Whenever I want to go out and watch a game, this is where I head as I did to watch the NBA playoffs. I especially like it on NFL Sundays. Most places, you go and find a spot and have to ask them can they turn on which game you want to watch. Here, they will have a sign hanging under each television to tell you which games will be shown on it, so you know where to try and find a seat. The food special are nice. It is one of those places where you can spend two or three hours watching a game and have a bill under $ 20. The food is good. I have never had a problem with service. The bartenders appear friendly. The place is packed when the Eagles play. Update: I went back on a Monday night to watch the Eagles opener. My server, Traci, took good care of me even though it was crowded. She brought me refills of my soda without me having to ask. I was sitting by myself at the one table I could find(by the men’s room), but she didn’t forget about me. The food and atmosphere was good as always.

A place of mythic proportions in our family lore. I had never been. However, now I can say I’ve been to Skeeters. Named after the State bird of NJ? A sports bar in South Jersey with above average pub grub. Nothing frou-frou, straight-up bar food. Lots of big screen TVs, a nice deck. However, it would a lot better if the deck was non smoking. Beer selection, though ample, appears to be mostly industrial. Onion rings and pepperoni & cheese appetizer. Sandwiches for us: pulled pork, cheese steak, filet mignon on brioche and the cuban. Cuban was tasty, but the size seems small compared to the other sandwiches. I had a taste of the pulled pork, yummy! The French fries, homemade and delicious. And yes, I ate the onion rings… Would have been 4 stars, except for the lack of a non-smoking deck and the preponderance of industrial brews; but that appears to be the norm here(ie, smoking on the decks and the preponderance of industrial beer).

My husband loves the South St. Chicken sandwich. I loved the black and blue chicken salad, filled with chopped tomatoes, bacon, crumbled blue cheese… So big and filling!

BUYERBEWARE! We were at skeeters yesterday had a great time how can you not when in great company. Service was horrible couldn’t even get a glass of water after 5th request my daughter went out to car to get her own bottle of water. After Ordering bar drinks took over half an hour to get served we were a party of 4 and there were only two other tables occupied. Food was good but again service stunk. Receipt that I signed was NOT what was charged to my credit card. I tried to resolve with Celeste and Becca but they were both clueless even though they were the ones who precessed the transaction! Apparently skeeters has no manager according to all the employees. I would have given no star but your required to put something. Unless your paying cash DONOT use a credit card at this business you will be ripped off and inconvenienced!

love this place and it’s great for lunch breaks and nights out. however I can’t bring my family here for lunches anymore. I have a very young son and even tho the outdoor area has plenty of space to accommodate the stroller(inside is to tight) there is NO changing table in the woman’s rest room. granted I know this is more of a bar, but we love going and sitting on the patio for lunch and now this is impossible. I had to change him on the sink counter and he will soon be to big for this. #BeTheChange. changing tables in all restrooms male and female alike should come to fruition.

They don’t have a lot of drink specials, but they have a new beer special everyday. On Wednesdays, they have ½ priced wings which are pretty good. I’ve had the sweet Thai chili, hot, and garlic parm. Their breakfast burger is so good. They also have good fries and salads. It’s never overly crowded so we’ve never had to wait for a table. They also have a patio and outside seating for the summer!

Ate here recently, from what I’ve been told they’ve improved a lot. However, since this was my first time here I have nothing to compare it to. I had the bacon egg and cheese burger. It was eh. I thought my burger was rather dry. Wouldve liked the egg to break on my burger. I thought the wings were fine. Nothing special. We went on NYE around 6 – 7. It was not crowded but service was slow. Not really a fan of this place.

I went here with my friends to get a couple drinks; or at least tried to. The bouncer wouldn’t let one of my friends in because she is from another state and doesn’t have a New Jersey ID, which is ridiculous. She had a legal, valid form of ID. Who carries a passport when traveling in country? Also shouldn’t they have a black light, handbook, or another method of checking a license? We ended up going somewhere else. I would not recommend and I will not return.

Great local bar. I’m not from around there but I could definitely tell it’s a bar where all the locals hang out. To start off, I had an LIT which was perfect to me. Strong but not too much. We got the regular fries with a side of some cheese sauce and buffalo sauce. Oh my god. The fries were amazing! Perfectly crisp and seasoned as well. The buffalo sauce was divine! I’m a big fan of buffalo sauce but this one gets the number one spot. Idk if it’s from a bottle or they made it themselves but I would drink it if I could. They had a decent selection of beers. I got the jack-O shandy which was a pumpkin shandy(never knew that existed). Also I was with a person who was gluten-free so I tried gluten-free beer which was really good! This places lives up to its great bar food status for sure.

Quick lunch break. I ordered a crab cake off of their lunch specials it came with old bay fries. The fries did not have much old bay but were fried perfectly. The crab cake was small but perfect for lunch. Buns were buttered perfectly and the lettuce was crisp. I used the tarter sauce and it was more than I expected. The service was phenomenal. All of the waitresses were attentive and noticed me quickley, I sat at the bar. Keep in mind you pay separately for the bar and food. They bring out ketchup and salt & pepper without being asked. I would like to point out this was the cleanest bottle of ketchup I have ever seen. However after a few more visits, it takes forever to pay the separate tabs why can’t I pay for my food and drinks together all at once? This is really annoying. Also the nachos are pretty gross. These are the worse nachos I have had anywhere. Sticking to sanwiches or fried platters is the safe way to go. Overall great place for a quick lunch. Much older crowded however it didnt take away from the atmosphere.

Disclaimer: I’ve never been to the old Skeeter’s so I really can’t compare the newly renovated one to the old one but here is my take on the current bar. Pros: Local bar with above average food, plenty of TVs, and somewhat spacious. Definitely a townie bar, but the customers aren’t as ‘prideful’ as some other local bars(cough cough Dom’s). My bacon cheeseburger was pretty damn good and actually came out medium rare. Just the way I requested it! Cons: The draft selection lacks in the craft beer department; however, you can’t blame them. The crowd simply doesn’t lean in that direction. My buddy asked for a drink and didn’t get it for a solid 10 minutes. The waitress apologized and said she forgot. No harm no foul. There’s not much else around the area, so if you’re in the mood for a burger and beer and just wanna unwind, Skeeter’s ain’t a bad option.

Skeeters is much nicer than it used to be, and it is fairly cheap. That being said, I often don’t come by here. The last time I ordered food, it was pretty good, but I certainly wouldn’t call it the best bar food in South Jersey. I see a lot of people that I didn’t know from high school here. If you are very local, options are not abundant, and usual worse. This pace is good enough for a cheap drink and a bite to eat, but not something that I would seek out. Meh. I’ve experienced better.

$ 3 Heineken’s and $ 2 Pizzas. Yes, I am a fan! «Best Bar Food in South Jersey» is their tagline and I have to agree. The hubs and I bellied up to the bar for the aforementioned specials as well as some Irish nachos and the Phill’s game. Everything was delish. Busy spot for a Tuesday night. Glad we stopped in.
