Amanda’s Bar None

Nice new clean bar with plenty of TV’s and seats. I really like the food, usually I’ll get a cheese steak/​chicken cheese steak or one of the delicious apps. I usually go on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I really like the staff working those days. Michelle, nate, Val, the short haired bar tender who’s name I forgot, and Amanda are great behind the bar they all work well together and dance while still paying attention to me and my buddies. The Friday dj is good and will play whatever you ask (sorry I don’t know his name). The one thing I don’t like and will never understand is why they allow one of the regulars to fall asleep at the bar. He really drags down the mood and nobody wants to be near him. It’s very unprofessional and just weird.

This bar looked decent from the outside. The inside is clean as well. But boy do the workers need an attitude adjustment. They look miserable as shit. They asked what beer we wanted and Michelle had no clue what they had on tap! She just handed us a menu and didn’t say anything. N then handed us a food menu without asking. Never gave us plates or silverware. I reached over the counter and got everything myself. Our soup was burnt. How does a cook burn soup? Letting it sit on the stove for hours without stirring it? Our chicken was under cooked with no flavor and the sauce was watered down you can tell from the top No one ever came over to ask how our meal was or if we needed anything else.
Also when michelle was taking our bowl back that we didn’t touch the cook came out n was talking to her. They both stared at us while they were laughing n walked to the back where we could see them laughing. She came directly back out right over to our corner with a laughing grin on her face n walked away. I’m not an idiot I know they were mocking us don’t believe me management watch your cameras. We paid and left a tip only because the guy at least deserved it. and congrats I usually don’t write reviews but this one will be published everywhere

Stopped by this place while visiting family in the area, as I was looking for a cold beer and something different than the usual fast food or pizza options.
To sum up my experience at Amanda’s: Meh.
I can’t recall the last time I’ve visited a restaurant or bar where it was so obvious that no one there really cared about anything. The customer service was slow, the food was adequate at best, and the waitstaff seemed more interested in checking phones than checking customers. Overall, just a bland and disappointing experience, and I won’t return.

Bad food & terrible service. Maybe we caught a bad night but there was only one server acting as bartender and waitress. Waited almost 30 minutes for first round of drinks. Everything we ordered containing cheese was made with cheese wiz. The server was very apologetic however based on this visit I probably wouldn’t go back.

It’s okay a small bar not a big crowd. It’s good if your just want to go somewhere to meet people this is not the spot

Amanda’s has a chance and could do so much better without AMANDA. she really has no clue how to run a bar or treat employees. You have pub crawl over wknd instead of using your reg faithful bartenders you have friends fill in since they are home visiting. There are other establishments that do much better job. Not a fan. Removing the Amanda from Amanda’s would be a start. Bar business isn’t a hobby as this owner treats it.

At 12:00 at a bar we had to get a table with a waitress who wouldn’t let me order beers if I had one already but served others in my group a bucket of 4 bud lights (every time we needed drinks we had to wait for service) refused to serve a pitcher. Watered down shots like you wouldn’t believe, a shot of gold Jose Quervo tasted like water and was colored as such. Waitress seemed like she was struggling. It was like 80s dance night I requested Zeppelin and the guy said to me «we’re not trying to put people to sleep». Other than that. They have a dart board and a cool sized bar. Won’t be back

My favorite bar! I go once every week maybe two times. Great food, awesome drinks and most the bartenders are really good. Great place to go for a game or few drinks and dinner.

First time there nice spot for a few drinks it is really laid back went there on a Friday had a good time. I did like the chicken breast sandwich it was good

Been here a few times and it has yet to impress. Food is typical bar fare. Nothing special at all. They have a few decent beers to complement the mostly purchased mass market brews, but again, nothing special. Music is typical classic rock mixed with adolescent Top 40. As many of the reviews state here the standout issue is the generally poor service. Inattentive — even when there are only 10 people in the entire place. And, inauthentically friendly. And, the bartender we had on this (and other occasions) is generally clueless outside of Miller Lite and the like. We asked for bourbon and she had no idea what to reach for.

Amanda’s has the best food in town! Everything is home-​made and you can tell the quality of the food is great. I love the selection of Kraft beers and IPAs and how there is always something new to try. They are also doing a pay half club membership where you pay $ 25.95 a month and every time I come in I get half off entrees and regular price drinks and shots for me and a friend… can’t beat it.

Has a nice atmosphere with good service and good food. Great local bar. I would definitely go back.

Heddy was the absolute best. Great personality, spot on, very responsive and service was excellent!

This was my 4^th time at this bar. The last time I was here was a year ago. Now I know why I haven’t been back in a year, & will never step foot in there again. I was there with 5 other girls and we sat at the bar for about 4 hrs. We had fun, but that’s because of each other & not where we were. I can say that in those 4 hrs, never once did a bartender come up and ask us if we were ok, needed a drink? Not once in 4 hrs!!! When you needed a drink you had to try and flag one of them down, it’s like you were bothering them. All 3 bartenders has a miserable puss face the entire night, never saw them smile or interact with any of the customers. I’ve never seen anything like it, I felt like I was in the twilight zone! They keep the lights bright all night, very odd for a bar. The music, well it was terrible. Everything I didn’t like about that place a year ago, proved to still be true. I’m surprised they are still in business because there are so many better places to go. This bar is not worth checking out, I’ve never seen a more miserable staff in my life! I would give it zero stars if I could.

I don’t live far so the location is prime! The bar itself has a nice appearance and a great ceasar wedge, but that’s about it!
The staff is not friendly and always too busy socializing with one another to give prompt service. I don’t like to pass judgment on the first visit, you never know if it is just an off day. However, I have been to Amanda’s about 10 times and will never go back. I walked in with my husband sat down at the bar, which had about five people at it. The bartender was on the other end of the bar, looked over at the door as we walked in and didn’t acknowledge our presence. We sat at the bar for about five minutes and she casually continued her conversation with two guys at the end of the bar, laughing and giggling. Eventually she strolled over and said what can I get for you. The rest of the service was mediocre at best. I later found out that this bartender was the OWNER! You got to be kidding me! I could understand if it was just an employee and they didn’t care about the success of the establishment, but the Owner. I would expect a nice greeting from any member of the staff, whether it be by a hostess, a server, bartender etc. No wonder why the staff isn’t friendly, monkey see monkey do!

We usually visit Amandas at least once a week on a Friday. Love the bartender we always have at happy hour, she knows exactly what we drink & has our drinks ready within seconds of sitting down & is always pleasant & personable. Well last night we went our usual time, same bartender, same pleasantries even tho it was more crowded then usual. Ordered our food & everything was fine until the bill çame. Menu says $ 8.99 for the wings & is what we’ve always paid but last night bill said $ 10.99 ?? Bring it to attention & bartender walked over to the owner Amanda herself who said «that’s the Super bowl» price??? Um, it’s December 18^th, Christmas isn’t even here yet Amanda decided to charge Super bowl prices without changing price on menu or telling when we ordered! Never heard of such a thing, needless to say we will never go back as Amanda being the owner never came to us to say a word, didn’t offer anything as far as an apology, and there was no way we were going to pay more then the price on the menu. Just not a good business person acting the way she did! Hopefully anyone who eats there will check the prices they are being charged on their bill since it seems Amanda thinks she can just charge different prices when she wants. Have to say tho, still laughing at her response of «superbowl» price & football season isn’t even over yet! Will make sure we never recommend this place to anyone & those we have already recommended now know not to try it. PS… it wasn’t the $ but the attitude of Amanda the owner herself!

Specials were awesome but our server was terrible. We were her only table for two hours yet we had to wait 40 minutes for a beer. That’s a shame because I was really liking this place when we first came in. I probably won’t return because if service was that slow and you could not serve me in a timely manner what happens when it’s actually busy?

Slow service. High priced bar food. Food taste = meh! Food was cold too!

So we ventured out in the snow on Thursday night to find this place. Bar was about ½ full at 7 pm. Good beer special of $ 2.50 23 oz bud lights. Bartenders were attentive and a decent décor all around. Seems like the owner went to Bishop Eustace high with a few shirts on the walls. Never had a problem getting any drinks so we decided to order some food.
Fried green beans were awesome. Lightly breaded in a tempura like coating. Horseradish dipping sauce on the side. Awesome.
We both ordered burgers cause that seemed like the house specialty. I got the amanda bar none burger. Im not a big burger eater but this burger was the best i have had in a long time. Possibly ever. Cooked to perfection and fresh ground beef. Topped with pepper-​jack and i garlic relish if i remember right. It was just dam good.
We will definatly be back

This past Thursday I swung into ABN and was pleasantly surprised. It’s warm and welcoming. Small but plenty of space.
They have several tvs at all different angles. Great music playing (such as the Eagles– Hotel California), it was nice and bright.
Bartender we had was friendly, introduced herself. Not the most attentive and the food seemed to come out a little slow, but there’s such a good vibe in there it wasn’t a bother.
I had asked the bartender if she could recommend an IPA, and she picked one from Goose Island. It was a perfect choice.
The ‘fry bar’ was a fun choice– pick out of several options what you want piled high on top of your fries. Chili needs a little tweaking. The chicken quesadilla was good, the outside had the right bite to it.
I’ll certainly be back with more friends in tow.
