I love this place. I wish I could say I’ve tried more of the menu items, but when I head over I am usually craving the the pancake special — two very thin and incredibly light pancakes with one egg and choice of meat(I love the link sausage). Coffee is terrific. The few times I strayed from my usual, I was quite pleased. Tony is from Chicago and his Chicago Style Hot Dog is the real deal. My boyfriend usually orders a burger(yes, for breakfast) or the biscuits and gravy, and the American Pan Fried potatoes are of the hash brown variety and fantastic. The burgers are also worth ordering. In fact I would not be hesitant to order anything from the menu. I’ve seen many reviewers bashing Tony’s wife Tina, who is the one and only waitress. She seems a bit reserved at first but I’ve never found her to be rude, in fact she is quite warm and welcoming once you get to know her. Tony and Tina run the whole place themselves and make a great hardworking team. They make it look easy — it can’t possibly be. I usually sit at the counter if I’m dining alone or with my boyfriend. Its not the most comfortable counter due the weird placement of the tiny stools. But its fun being able to watch Tony cook and have a bit of conversation with him and Tina. I sit in the back if I want to zone out or need more room. The view is fantastic and I love that the table are made from old sewing machine stands. Interesting eclectic décor. Overall, worth the price(cash only) and always a nice experience.

Breakfast on Aug. 62015. Interesting floorpan, and décor. Skinny petite waitress walked by us three times before coming to the table, and there were only two other tables with a total of 3 people. She took our food order before asking about drink requests. My guest always asks for«hot water in a mug». The waitress immediately pointed to the menu… Hot water $ 1. I said o.k. bring it. Thankfully complimentary tap water for me, no extra charge. I ordered the Pastrami Scrambled Egg breakfast(see pic’s) $ 9.99. What a disappointment. Limp, small portioned, bland tasting egg entrée with lunchmeat quality pastrami. The potatoes were o.k., and seemed to be made from scratch. The whole wheat toast was the 89 cents a loaf variety. The Smuckers grape jelly packet was runny. Never seen that before, as Smuckers jelly is common in restaurants. No date code found. The waitress never came back to check on our meals. My guest had Feta Cheese Scrambled eggs, same potatoes, and english muffin. Too much Feta cheese made the entrée too salty. We had a table by the windows which gave a bit of a view of the bay. After getting up from the table I noticed something on the front of my shirt. Maple syrup. Which I had none of with my meal. So it was on the edge of the table from a previous customer. Good job wiping off the table. Avoid this place. I wish I had.

If you want something different for breakfast, such as country fried steak, eggs and French toast all in one order, this is the place to go!(10.50) The food was excellent, The restaurant itself reminded my husband and me of New Orleans, and with the window and table overlooking the marina, it was a great experience! We plan on returning for more country fried steak for breakfast! And believe it or not — this was cheaper than an omelette! There are a lot of regular customers at this restaurant, and I see why. I did not visit the restrooms, so cannot comment on that. As I am highly allergic to dust, I could find none in this entire establishment. Four stars for me for the food and quaint environment. Just what we were looking for in a quaint little seaside village that has no fast food joint anywhere around.

Great food, and Tony is delightful. We tried really hard to love it, went back several times hoping waitress Tina was just having a bad day. But it’s every day. She is slow, rude, snarly and abrupt. Walks empty handed past dirty tables, flat out ignores diners, never smiles. She really ruins what would be a gem of a little eatery. We won’t be back.

The Good: Great décor, kinda funky with a lot of personality. Just the type of place that you would love to call«My breakfast place». You can tell that Tony and Tina try hard to make this a special dinner. Coffee was a 7 out of 10(5 being ok/10 amazing). Tony came out of the kitchen to check on our meals and was quite friendly. The Bad: Poor service from Tina; no smile, no conversation, slow to come to our table. Cash only, no credit cards or debit accepted. Prices higher than I would expect for a place claiming it was a bargain. $ 9.00 cash for omelet, hash browns and toast. Hash Browns or American Fried Potatoes as they called them tasted funny. Eggs tasteless, sausages were of a very cheap pork variety and seemed deep fried. I asked to have only omelet with no sausage, no hash browns and no toast and was scolded«NO!». No substitutions and full price regardless of what I order. To top off a poor experience the washrooms were filthy. This dinner could be so much more as Tony and Tina have done a lot of things right however it is hard to ignore a deficit in value, service and cleanliness in any restaurant. We would not return or recommend«Tony’s Just A Bite». Big Al’s although slightly more expensive offers much more and promises less.

I’ve tried the Corned Beef, the Pastrami and the Reuben, and they are all great. True Chicago Vienna Beef products make this a great stop. And the rye bread is as good as it gets. We used to go to their Meridian location years ago. Their Blaine location shows all the wacky character these two possess, and their love of the restaurant business comes through with every customer served. Stop in for breakfast or lunch. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ate at Tony’s for breakfast, We walked in and were welcomed by a smile(I think it was Tony). We walked to the rear of the establishment and found a table next to the window. It was clean, all sorts of sayings on the walls to read, so far a great experience. Then the waitress came up to our table and said«you ready» no smile, no would you like coffee, no how are you today. We said not yet and she said okay and walked away. Long story short, the food was good, service not so good. Will we go back? I don’t know.

Tony and Tina(not of the wedding fame) run a great diner. The diner drip coffee is excellent(I’m from NJ!) and the breakfast great. Tony is from Chicago and I’m looking forward to trying out their corn beef sandwich he was bragging about.
