I have visited this McDonalds on 2 – 3 different times of the year. 2014 & 2015 (Summer 2x & early Fall 1x)
I USUALLY NEVER EVER write a review on Unilocal,however my multiple experiences at this location, I felt an overwhelming need to inform the general public. Those people who have seen this McDonalds while traveling southbound on the Garden State Parkway, most likely on your way to the Jersey Shore, need to be informed PRIOR to stepping foot into this «DISGUSTING, DISRESPECTFUL WORKERS, & MOST IMPORTANTLY THE TOTAL DISREGARD THIS ESTABLISHMENT HAS FOR THE WORD «CLEANLINESS». Each and every time this McDonalds never fails to surprise me. EVERY SINGLE TIME I VISITED HERE (only came back a second & finally a third time, with the hopes & prayers things would change. LOL !!! GOOD LUCK !) I ALONG WITH EACH FUTURE PATRON, CAN MOST DEFINITELY EXPERIENCE ANY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING, MOST LIKELY «ALL» OF THEM ;
1. The rudest set of Spanish workers who barely speak a word of English, never ever getting any one of my orders correct, simply due to not speaking the English language.
2. God for bid one or your children or even yourself has to use the men’s room. HOLY S#IT !!! There are 6 sinks to wash your hands, each and everyone of them, decides one (drips ice cold water, takes 15 minutes to get the soap off your hands, when soap is made available) ARE BROKEN, WITH SIGNS READING «OUT OF ORDER». How can a «MCDONALDS» of all places NOT have multiple running water sinks ??? It’s a multimillion dollar establishment.
3. The 2 – 3 times I was here with my wife & 4 young children, none of us have EVER gotten hot food.
4. The straw that broke the camels back was on our last visit, while I was using the men’s room, (I’m a 44 yr old respectful attorney) I had a person (male obviously) approach me in several different manners asking me if I «we’re interested in a nice goodbye ?»
When I politely asked him, «I’m not quite sure what your referring to,» he gestured with his hand to his mouth with his hand, insinuating the performance of ORAL S@X. Rather then contact the police, I took the high road and immediately left w/​o ordering a single thing for myself, as well as my family. We just got off at the very next exit and found a bagel store in that town.
5. HOW IN THE WORLD IS SOMETHING LIKE THIS NOT MONITORED BY SOME KIND OF LAW ENFORCEMENT IS BAFFLING. I highly highly doubt that I (of all people that visit this e-​coli awaiting food place, was the VERY FIRST person this has happened too ??) I personally find that to be 100% IMPOSSIBLE.
6. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, TO ALL THE GENERAL PUBLIC, PLEASE DO YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY A GREAT /​EDUCATED FAVOR & SIMPLY KEEP DRIVING WHEN YOU SEE THIS PLACE.
*** I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SIMPLY GET OFF THE VERY NEXT EXIT PAST THIS VILE PLACE TO EAT, PAY A TOLL, MAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN AT THE LIGHT. Take that street to your second traffic light (I think it’s Broad St in Bloomfield) and you will find the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten at a BAGEL STORE IN MY LIFE. If my memory serves me correct, it is on your right hand side. BIG BIG BAGEL STORE SIGN, A CAN’T MISS. There wasn’t one thing that they offer that wasn’t better then the next.
**** If by some chance any of you readers «assume» that I personally have some interest in this bagel store, THAT IS THE FURTHEREST FROM THE TRUTH. What I’m trying to do is to make aware to the motoring public (with or without family) that this specific McDonalds is bound to either get you seriously sick & if you happen to have older kids that use the men’s room alone, BE AWARE OF THE DISGUSTING PREDATORS LURKING INSIDE.
If it were not for my 4 yr old son being with me (my profession aside, & NOT worrying about the consequences) this gentleman that suggested what he did, directly in front of my son, (obviously he didn’t understand what the filthy ANIMAL was asking, WITH TOTAL DISREGARD TO A CHILD STANDING DIRECTLY NEXT TO ME) would have been drowning in any one of the human fesses filled toilet seats. I highly doubt he would have called the authorities, given the fact that how would he answer the question as to «Sir, what happened for this to occur ?»
— I HAVE HONESTLY CONTEMPLATED GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE, WITH THE HOPES I RUN INTO THIS PERSON AGAIN. Problem is I live in Boston Mass. a 5 hr trip depending on traffic. ONE THING I CAN GUARANTEE: I will be alone this time around & MOST DEFINITELY THE RESULTS WOULD BE A WHILE LOT DIFFERENT THEN THE FIRST.
. This is nothing but multiple occurrences, & a EDUCATED WARNING TO THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO IDEA THIS ESTABLISHMENTS PRACTICES. I know that if this was going on somewhere I visited, I sure hope people would take the necessary time to write something up, as I did. Putting your time aside, this is SOMETHING THAT IN TODAYS MODERN ERA SHOULD NOT BE JUST DISREGARDED.

this place sucks. lowest drive thru ever even before their excuse of all day breakfast. fries are never fresh. no coke zero. they charge like they are an airport mcdonalds in Europe. $ 15 for a meal. Stay away from this crud joint.

$ 3.00 extra per combo meal because «we are off the parkway» according to the employee. $ 11+ is ridiculous for the nugget meal. Price gouging at its finest. And the service is slow on top of that.

I could not imagine why it takes a half an hour to have two apple pies at this restaurant. I always promised myself that if I had a sufficient amount of time to complete a Unilocal review while I was parked in your drive-​through you would get one star. This is happening I’ve turned my car off and I’m waiting for God knows what. I will never do this to myself again.

Pit stop. Coffee break. Without much luck to find a Dunkin for some iced coffee after getting off of Tappan Zee Bridge? No problem. This place was pretty decent. Especially the folks working here — very hardworking, real nice people. My very tall iced coffee was fixed by this young lad who made sure he spelt out all the options when it came to flavors, crème choices, etc. And quite a few to choose from too. Thanks for the very friendly service. I may not be a burger /​fries guy — but a visit to McDonald’s during road trips for a ice coffee break is very well appreciated with great service.

Terry the night server is a very customer service oriented employee. He pays amazing attention to detail. Coffee was great.

No problems this time around. Although you better have a small car if you are going through the drive through, because it has quite a sharp turn. Food was normal and the wait was a little long, but not a big deal.

Terrible service alway at night… Most of the time they claim to only want cash. Tonight they said that and I waited 26 minutes for my food with NO ONE on line ahead or behind me

Probably the WORST mcdonalds on the parkway!!! The staff is HORRIBLE and RUDE. You need to check your order before you leave since they have a ²⁄₁₀ chance of getting it right. The fries taste funny like they don’t change their oil regularly.
Definitely should close it down and put something else up and fire everyone associated with the location!

I’ve never been to a McDonald’s that has 3 other businesses in the same vicinity. Pizza, Donuts, a convenience store & McDonald’s. We came here with the intentions of getting quick eats for cheap.
Under this assumption we placed an order of four, 4-​piece nuggets. The employer told us there’s no dollar menu. Being the observers that we are, we both noticed that they indeed have a dollar menu but the items & prices do not coincide. What a major disappointment.
I have never been to a McDonald’s that doesn’t have a dollar menu but offered dollar menu items for $ 2-​$ 3 more. For that price we might as well upgrade to the combo but that’s not what I wanted. When you set your sights on getting something because your craving a particular thing finding out that it’s not offered the way you expect to be is a let down.
I needed something to happen. Like Kobe coming through in the clutch & shooting a 3 that would save the game.
Guess not.

Nothing special. It is right off the garden state parkway. Has a drive thru and an angry staff. Perhaps they need a raise? If you drive a large SUV or a car that you want no chance to scratch the wheels then I highly suggest that you avoid the drive thru, as it is curvy and narrow. There is barely any room for error.

Mcdonald’s food tastes great. yeah yeah its not healthy at all but if your going here you probably know that already. This is just your regular great mcdonald’s.

Being this place represents a service plaza on the Garden State Parkway, you would have thought someone would have had the decency enough to speak English, but unfortunately we were disappointed and walked out empty-​handed. We were in there to find out travel info and a map of the area, but even that, the map want even of the area.

Um I don’t eat the food but the bathroom was clean

I got here using this address: 1339 North Broad Street, Bloomfield, NJ.
I rarely give 1-​star reviews. I always thought McDonald’s were the same everywhere. Well, I thought wrong…
I came here cuz it’s the closest one to my new apt. Biggest mistake ever. First of all, I believe they overcharged me: $ 15 for 10pcs mcnuggets, 1 mcchicken, 2 small fries, 2 sweet teas and 4 pcs mcnuggets.
The deal breaker was the sweet teas because it’s my fav but theirs taste different, weird different.
Lastly, I understand it’s McDonald’s, not a 5-​star restaurant but the service here was just the worst one I’ve ever been too. And I’ve been to a few McDonalds. I only went through the drive-​thru so idk how the inside service would be. The cashier wasn’t paying attention when I drove past to pay then the one making my order was yelling «we don’t have ice!» That was a bad sign for me alrdy.
I don’t think I’ll return to this location. i’ll just drive a couple more minutes and try the next closest location.

Nothing spectacular, unless you love 80s stuff.
This McDs is kind of a throwback. You can sit near Grimace or the Hamburgler so that might make your decision a bit difficult. There are also a few entrances to this place depending on it you come off the parkway or from Broad St.
It was super cold when we were there. Yes it was winter, but it actually felt like they had the AC on.
Anyhoo, it’s a McDonald’s, you know what you’re getting.

This is your typical rest stop McDonald’s. I’m a fan of it being a 24 hour one. Whenever I have a cheat meal this McDonald’s always seems to be calling my name. The Big Mac always gets a thumbs up in my book as well as the m&m mcflurry.

First McDonald’s tries to kill us all, with their crappy «food» & now McDonald’s slanders our dogs? I’d pet A Pit Bull over eating your unhealthy «food» any day.
