Milano Salon And Day Spa

I was a little put off by the price. I’ve never paid more then $ 35 for a haircut before. Well I can assure you, it’s worth every penny. My stylist was new, but very capable, friendly, and talented. Serge, the owner, was in the booth next to her and offered his assistance and critique. He clearly is an amazing stylist. I will never go anywhere else.

They ruined my hair! I requested a keratin process and cut (6 inches off at my request). The cut was awful and the process left me with split ends all over. My hair is going to take years to recover. I understand it is «just hair», but it is upsetting. To make matters worse, they totally over charged. NEVER GO HERE.

Unfortunately, the following review is based only on two visits for manicures, as I was unable to schedule a stylist for a haircut.
A small salon tucked in a block of the center of Bloomfield, Milano offers many services, including hair styling and treatments, massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures. What Milano doesn’t offer is good customer service.
I visited Milano twice for manicures. I had Monique both times, and she was friendly and very professional. She did two very nice French manicures, complete with good hand massages where I was slobbered with cream. The other nail technician, from what I observed during my visits, was the complete opposite of Monique; she was very unprofessional, leaving her client while her nails were just finished and needed to dry and talking on her phone instead of bringing her next client back to the nail room. I couldn’t believe how she conducted herself.
I looked to have a hair cut and styling at Milano since I liked the two manicures I had, but was unable to definitively choose a stylist that fit me well because two stylists that I wanted to try were both leaving. (It’s a small salon already without these departures.) I asked the administrator at the front desk who I would have instead, and she went to ask the owner who I should have for my first time there; he told her to put me with a stylist who was less than friendly with me during my second visit for a manicure and who just returned from vacation. I question the reason the owner didn’t take me on to keep me there as it was going to be my first time for a hair styling. I feel like he just handed me off to someone without understanding what I was looking for, and he did so without talking to me directly.
I won’t be back to Milano, despite the services it offers. I wasn’t impressed by its customer service in the least and the turmoil with stylists leaving. I’m taking my money, and patronage for stylings and manicures, elsewhere.

Milano’s offers top notch service and a good value for your money. They have a great selection of services. The staff and clinicians are knowledgeable, personable, and professional. I’ve never used the salon but I have tried the massages, facials, nail services, and waxing. All were great.
