Big D’s Fireworks

Went to Big D’s for the first time this year, was immediately blown away by the incredibly low prices despite having the same quality as the overpriced chain stores. After our visit, we realized there was a mix up with the bagging of a few of our items. We gave them a call the next day, and immediately fixed the issue, including a bunch of free fireworks to make up for the extra drive.
The NICEST people I have ever dealt with. They really do treat everyone like family, as other reviews have stated. They have earned a lifelong customer in us.

When each staff member was done helping the other customers, they all came over to give me their opinions about each cake. They made suggestions based on my description of what I wanted and helped me map out how i should set them up!
Can’t wait for my show!

Worst experience ever. I’m leaving from Philly at 2:30AM to head up there (mind you its almost a 3 hour drive) because I spoke on the phone and the lady told me that they would open the store upon arrival with no problem. I call them about 45 minutes before I arrive just to give them a heads up I’ll be there soon and nobody answers so I try again. I figure that since I’m already nearby I might as well drive to the shop and try calling again. When you arrive it’s this sketchy shed with a parked tractor trailer sitting on the lawn with some fat guy inside passed out from drinking too many Budweisers. On the shack itself there is a sign with a different phone number from the one I was given telling you to call them and they will arrive in 5 minutes. I call to have some lady answer saying she’ll be there in a couple minutes. 30 minutes go by and I call her back asking what’s going on? She’s telling me she had a long night and it’s gonna take some time (this was around 8:15AM) We wait there until 9AM and decide to call back with no response from either of the numbers. We ended up going to North of the Border which is about 15 minutes down the road but totally worth it. The two places are completely polar. Do yourself a favor and skip this place by any means!
Edit: as you can see by my profile I don’t really write review but this one had to be done and by the way it’s 2PM I just got back home and these people still haven’t called me back!

I will never go to Phantom, Keystone or any other big name fireworks store after finding Big D’s!!!
Ask for Matt, John or Maria and they will hook you up with what you need. Their knowledge is incredible and they are always willing to do what it takes to make you happy. Call them ahead to make sure they have what you need.
The fireworks I purchased literally would have cost at least 2 times more at Phantom and Keystone. Matt was literally throwing stuff into my purchase pile for free. I simply gave him a budget and a list of the fireworks I liked and he and Maria did the rest.
I’ll be back next year and the year after…
