Needed to find a new nail salon since my former salon took a nose dive in professionalism, quality, and customer service. This was probably a blessing in disguise because after my first visit to this salon, I realized my nails weren’t given the attention they deserved!!! The woman who gave me my gel fill(can’t remember her name) was SOMETICULOUS in handling my nails and sculpting them to perfection. I was really impressed & I don’t say that often. She took so much time in making them look natural. She was also very friendly. I had a pedicure the same day by Stephanie who was also friendly and personable. There was also a gentleman there working on my friend’s pedicure and he was very nice as well. I had a great experience at this salon and plan on going back!!! I have nothing negative to say about my experience here.

As someone who’s worked incredibly hard(and successfully, if I do say so myself) to get her social anxiety under control, I cannot describe how incredibly awkward and horrible it feels to run into a stressful situation where I have to confront someone and then run away. I came here about a month ago for their mani/pedi combo that’s advertised at $ 30 and was a bit annoyed when I found they’d upped the price to $ 33. I didn’t say anything at the time because it was a very minor annoyance and the basic manicure and pedicure that was done on a Wednesday ended up lasting through both weddings I attended that Friday and Saturday. In fact, it stayed immaculate for about a week, so I was super impressed and excited that I’d found a good place with reasonable pricing. Some things are just too good to be true. I showed up without an appointment on a Wednesday and was told I’d have to wait a little bit. «A little bit» basically turned into watching an entire episode of The Queen Latifah Show, all of which was spent with my feet pruning in the spa bath instead of being called up when they were actually ready. The woman who did my pedicure was not very good at it. She seemed unsure of what she was doing and like she was zoning out. The woman who I think is the owner or a supervisor took full advantage of this by yelling at her in front of me for every misstep she took. One of the foot baths wasn’t cleaned properly, so she made my tech stop working on me and wash it. My tech was rinsing my feet off on the towels outside of the tub, so she yelled at her to replace the towels. She forgot to lotion my legs, which by this point I didn’t even notice because I was zoning out from being there so long, so she yelled at her to lotion them. My tech started painting my toes and wasn’t doing a very good job, so the supervisor came over and yelled at her about not getting the color right. At this point, I’m feeling uncomfortable. That’s when the supervisor apologizes to me directly. I tell her it’s OK(making a mental note to start looking for a new place) and she respond with«She Korean. She no Vietnamese. She don’t know what to do. I tell her, but she forget.» She then looks at the poor tech, who appears both frustrated and defeated, and starts really going at her with a bunch of negative comments that boil down to «Why are you so bad at this? You have a license. Do your job right!» Here’s where I have mixed feelings — I’m paying for a service and expect the service to be of a certain quality. Granted, these techs are probably renting out the chairs; however, I believe it is the salon’s job to ensure the people they let work there can meet that quality or they need to train them in a professional manner, one that doesn’t include talking shit about them in Vietnamese to the other coworkers, yelling at them in English in front of other customers, and making disparaging remarks about them. Furthermore, I will not give my money to a business run by racists, and I see no other way for that Korean comment to be taken. Not meeting my expectations of quality is unfortunate. What I was subjected to… No, what the tech was subjected to was absolutely unacceptable. I paid for my pedicure and skipped the manicure. I told them this was taking far too long and I couldn’t deal anymore. I couldn’t believe how unprofessional this place is and how they treat their employees. I left because they wasted my time and the pedicure was sub par. I will not be returning because of the way the supervisor treated that woman.

I had been going here since they took over from the previous owners at least about 4 – 5 times a year. about five months ago i had a bad experience with the owner doing my nails and he was incredibly rude to me. recently i went back because i had money left on a gift certificate that was given to me for christmas. after i showed up for my appt that i made a day in advance, waited for twenty min and then found out that they had double booked me with another woman who was waitng so i left and came back. then i proceeded to get my nails done at the same time as another woman while he switched back and forth between us, which of course ended up adding about 20 min onto the time it should have taken. then when i went to use my gift certificate(the only reason i came back in the first place) he informed me that it had expired after six months which is ILLEGAL!!! these ppl are terrible business owners and just lost hundreds of dollars in business over a $ 7 gift certificate balance.
