Overpriced and typical food. The sushi is better than the hot entrees. $ 11 for lunch is pricey considering what they offer. The service sucked too. I won’t be back. The dinner is $ 16, which was pricey too. I saw the entrees and wondered why someone would pay that much for a ordinary Chinese Buffett. Not friendly either.

Meh. That’s all I’ve really got to say about this place. It is your average Chinese buffet with your average lukewarm food put out in steam tables. They don’t refresh the things very often, and many of the things were very picked over. It was OK. Would I go back? No. Super moon buffet is way better.

Excellent value, my kids love the sushi, for the price you can’t go wrong. Best buffet around

Food was average. Sushi was okay. Very small variety of food to choose from. Most likely will not be returning.

My wife and I have been going to this buffet since a uncle introduce us to the buffet. The price is a big high due to the sushi was make fresh from the guy in the white dress. The sushi are a lot better than the place that I have been to.

It cost us about $ 35 for lunch for three and I ate about 20 bucks worth of sushi all by myself(and it was delicious!) One of the sushi makers helped my 12-year-old find sushi choices that weren’t too spicy and she ate them all up along with the cream cheese wontons. This is one of my husband’s favorite work lunch places and he probably ate enough so he won’t want dinner tonight. A winner!

The service here is horrible! They are so Rude and barely come by to refill your drinks. We visited one day for a late lunch(around 3:30pm) and they charged us for lunch well at 4:00 they brought out Shrimp and we didn’t know that they had started the dinner foods. the waitress came over to our table and tried to pull the plate away from my husband and kept yelling that we couldn’t take Shrimp. When we told her that we didn’t know and to tell us how much extra we could pay since my husband had the shrimp in front of him they got mad because we asked them to charge us for the difference. They ended up charging us $ 6.00 for 5 shrimps my husband had on his plate.

My favorite buffet place. The best choice are the sushi rolls and beef short ribs. After 2 full plates of sushi, the $ 16 price seems so cheap. I hope they have better ventilation system, my clothes and hair smell like a kitchen every time I go there.

I’ll give it a one, only because it won’t let me give it a zero. Three of us went there for dinner this evening, against the advice of the negative reviews, and all three of us have been suffering since. The food quality was non existent(the soda was good!). Very greasy, and not many options besides seafood(my favorite was the stir fried whole octopuses…) and chicken dishes either too soggy or too tough to eat. Save your money(and your gastrointestinal system) and go somewhere else!

We ate at 98 pounds buffet for dinner and weren’t impressed. At first glance, it seems great because of their great variety of food in their buffet; however, the food was barely warm and didn’t seem fresh. If you like sushi, I’ve heard that they have some of the best sushi; however sushi isn’t my forte. The price was typical of a Chinese buffet. I don’t think we’ll be going back — I’ve definitely had better Chinese food.

What a pleasure when the front greeting you smiles and says welcome! The food is solid here, the sushi is better than most, the food is hot and not overloaded so you have to dig to the bottom to get fresh product. Serving staff was quick on beverage refills and used plates. The feel of the restaurant is whats neat nice folks working and enjoying good solid food for dinner or lunch. Second time I have been here and like it even better the second time. Thank you for bringing solid dinner options to the Bloomington area.

Better than your average China Buffett. Plenty of items for your kids. Sushi and desserts as well as a lovely fresh fruit bar! My daughter and I ate for less than $ 20

We used to come here for the snow crab legs they always had in the buffet. Came tonight to find out they stopped putting crab in the buffet about July 2015.

Everything seemed fresh and tasted so good! Price is pretty expensive for a buffet here though. Sushi here is way better than most buffets I’ve been to.

This is among the best Chinese buffets I’ve visited. The Tokyo chicken was new to me and tasty. The sushi was on point. The staples were all there. And the décor was on perfect.

If u enjoy sushi this Buffett is for you the selections an quality can’t be beat the price. However if u are going for only Chinese food it can be hit or miss. Dinner especially on weekends has s lot more variety and seafood and we haven’t had anything we didn’t like. However for lunch it can be a bit pricey and some of the Chinese dishes aren’t that great. I will say the staff is always been attentive.

$ 18 a person for dinner buffet on Sat night this wasn’t worth it. The buffet was limited in selection compared to other buffets that charged less. I’m pretty sure the extra was to offset the sushi which was good though. Seating was cramped since all the booths were occupied and they were sitting different parties along their long tables. I was kinda bummed that for this price they did not have crab legs.

I love sushi but can’t say I’ve had it all. I’ve been to this all you can eat buffet a couple of times but always leave a little disappointed. In truth, the sushi tasted like it had been prepared with a water bubble in the middle of it. I really didn’t like this watery taste ruining the flavor of the fish. I’ve had better luck with world buffet in Apple Valley but realize that the best is at more specialty places like Fuji Ya.

I have been looking for a reason to return to this buffet! I am hoping writing this review will provide the needed incentive :) My brother and his wife wanted to meet here for lunch awhile back. Initially I was not thrilled at the idea. Something about the name of the place gave me pause. Ok, so… once I got past the 98 pounds sign(what is up with that name?) and the lackluster strip mall exterior, I was so glad I overcame my initial resistance! Atmosphere: Somewhat better than the typical Asian buffet — clean, smelled good, nothing extraordinary but not bad. Sushi: I’m no sushi expert. I have an aversion to fish roe after having overdosed on it once(don’t ask). For a buffet they have GREAT sushi/maki roll selection — not just a ton of Philadelphia rolls either. Spicy tuna rolls were the BOMB. I found the sushi really, truly delicious! I had two plates of rolls with a variety of sauces and enjoyed it so much I never got around to the buffet! LOL Highly recommend but again, I’m no expert so if you are American, from the Midwest/Minnesota and have had limited exposure to sushi but you like it — I highly recommend this place. If you grew up on sushi, are from Asia or California and are accustomed to the best — I don’t know what to tell you.

Four stars for a buffet. Seafood was well seasoned, meat wasn’t too dry, fruit was fresh and sushi was pretty decent. The crawfish was surprisingly zesty, the Mongolian beef was cooked well, the sweet and sour chicken was a bit dry, the strawberries were sweet, the watermelon was juicy but not very sweet, the crabs probably weren’t worth the effort, the gyoza really surprised me by being so tasty and just the right amount of crisp, the cheesy oysters weren’t good but I had picked up the last one so it was most likely sitting out for a while, the sweet donut balls weren’t coated evenly with sugar so I only ate one bite and left the rest. The sashimi wasn’t cut to look pretty, so aside from not being aesthetically pleasing they tasted great. There are dozens of rolls but most are doused in spicy mayo. Luckily I’m a fan, but if you’re not then there won’t be a ton of options. Service wise I never expect a whole lot from buffets, but they always kept my water glass full and table cleared. Probably couldn’t hurt to smile more. So, overall great restaurant for Chinese and sushi roll craving with some macha ice cream dessert.

In my opinion, all Chinese buffets are comparable to some extent. What are the pros and cons to this one? Pros: 1. Larger selection and much better tasting sushi than what you’ll find at other Chinese buffets where the sushi ends up tasting something similar to mush. 2. Price of your lunch/dinner includes unlimited drinks of your choice. 3. Good service– they pick up your dishes the second you set them to the side and refill your drink when it’s already half full. 4. YUMMY ice cream, not at all overbearingly sweet. Flavors include: Matcha green tea and vanilla. 5. Very clean, presentable buffet. Cons: 1. No hibachi. C’monnn, hibachi is my favorite part about Chinese buffets. 2. Low selection in foods and nothing pops out in particular. Just very, very typical Chinese food(fried rice, beef and broccoli, stir fried noodles, etc.) 3. At slower business times, food gets left sitting out for awhile and begins getting cold and loses it’s appeal and good taste. 4. Dinner time is far too pricey for the food they’re serving– stick to lunch. Overall, not a bad place but not a good place. This one doesn’t offer much more than what other Asian buffets would offer in terms of food.

I never frequent chinese buffets because I usually end up rolling out of the place, but my family wanted to go so I had no choice. This buffet was $ 16.98 per person on a Sunday night. I will say that out of the chinese buffets that I’ve been to, this has to be one of my favorites! For the food, they have a great selection of sushi! And it’s not only the sad, plain looking kind — they have special rolls with sauces, and even some fried. THEYALSOHAVEEDAMAME… game changer. Edamame is life. You bet that I took a whole plate of that. My first plate of sushi and edamame was already worth more than $ 16, so you can get your moneys worth! They also have a good selection of dishes — the salt and pepper shrimp is my favorite. People would crowd around the crawfish and hoard the whole pan when it came out, so if that’s your thing, that’s cool… And no, I’m not exaggerating. People would fill full plates of that stuff and fight for mounds of it. Good thing I’m not into crawfish… Dessert was okay — they have vanilla and green tea ice cream(doesn’t have a huge green tea flavor, but more like vanilla with a hint of green tea), but I do wish they had more dessert selection. Felt like I gained 98 pounds when I left, but overall, 4 stars because I loved the sushi and edamame, and the food was good! Also, the service was so great!!! The girl helping us checked on us a ton, and she was a sweetheart.

Skip this place! The people here are RUDE. For 3 people on a Saturday afternoon, $ 54 wasn’t worth it. It took a while for anyone to take our drink orders, and their glasses are too small. The waitress for our drinks was never around, so I asked the cashier lady since she helped clear off tables. I got a really cold shout of: One Second! They had raw oysters and as I went to go get some, a wait staff stood over my shoulder repeating herself over & over again: Only 3! Only 3! Only 3! Ok…so why did the guys in front of me AND behind me take 2 plate fulls? RUDE! Variety at buffet is nothing special or tasty. Sushi dishes were always empty so I never got to try hardly anything. Way overpriced for such limited selection.

Went there today and was very surprised to see the lunch deal on a Saturday was $ 9.99. Totally worth it. The sushi spread itself is worth that price. I had all 24 different kinds, then got a bunch from the actual buffet section. Great selection for that price, will be going back for sure

I frequent this place often because it’s nearby after work and because I’m on the 98 pound diet. There’s three things you can expect: number one, the crab legs to run out within five minutes of coming out from the kitchen. Number two, the guy who looks like he’s practicing for next year’s Smack Shack Crayfest eating competition with all the crayfish he’s eating; that’s me. Then lastly number three, hearing a Chinese flute rendition of the song My Heart Will Go on. The sushi, and almost everything else, is usually stale and the fried shrimp is usually soggy. Reminds me of awesome college years in Madison when Yummy Buffet was a treat for us poor college students. This place is great if you are training for a crayfish eating contest, if you have some vendetta against crayfish, or really like the song My Heart Will Go On. However it’s not so great if you’re trying to lose 98 pounds. Then again losing 98 pounds would probably mean death for me anyhow.
