The selection is excellent and the prices are decent. The store is cool in that it is a huge oval in shape. The combination of candy and yogurt is a sensible one, and you can use the candy as toppings. Not all of the gummies were super fresh and soft, but nothing was rock-hard, and I was there over the summer, surely a low-traffic time with few students, and therefore less gummy turnover. The staff person who was there was very friendly and helpful. I didn’t feel gouged and they had everything I’d want and then some, including some candies I don’t remember having seen before, like gummy chicken feet, and also jawbreakers, including ones bigger than a softball. Good for satisfying the occasional candy craving with sour tummies and chocolate-covered gummy bears. There’s a bunch of paid parking around, although I’m sure it fills up during the scholyear since this is right NY the iconic IU gates.

This is the third time we have been here and the last. Everything we bought was stale. Some so hard you couldn’t even chew it. Threw much of it away. Check out Albanese in northwest Indiana much fresher.

Awesome because they have TONS of candy!!! Lots of variety. SUCKS because they are over priced. :/ If they were a bit cheaper, it would be great… We try to stop here every time we visit, because its just cool too look around.

Wow. If you like candy, you will like this place. I had a coupon for a free frozen yogurt for my birthday, so I stopped in for the first time to use that. Instead of the«toppings bar» for frozen yogurt places that has become standard — you choose your toppings from any(and I mean ANY) of the bins in the store. They are first and foremost a candy place, so if you’re a fan of topping your frozen yogurt with fruit-type items, you will probably be disappointed. They do offer a small selection of fresh fruit, but not much. However, in addition to the candy, their wall bins also include a selection of cereals and trail mixes, which went nicely with the yogurt. I’m not sure what the pricing was like, like my yogurt was free.

First time here = Amazing! Make your own own icecream/blizzard, hundreds kinds of candy, cake, cupcakes, coffee, etc. Great time for the girl and I.

Campus Candy has a great selection of candy, but it’s very expensive. You really won’t get very far on $ 5 here. The staff person was helpful though and said that I should check the weight as I go because people are often surprised at how quickly it adds up, especially with particular candies. If you’re craving just a taste of something that’s a little harder to find, this is the place to go. If you want something typical like M&M’s, I’d advise to just buy it at a convenience store.

I am a candy fanatic, first of all this place had all of my go to candies. AND for the firs time ever. which is hard to believe because I eat so much candy I’m ashamed to admit it I found a jawbreaker lollipop. the scene is more like weird modern café, with a GIANT candy selection. which is overpriced, as ALL candy stores typically are when you buy it by weight. apparently they serve coffee and froyo too. interesting. anyway I liked it. a lot!

This place is a lot of fun. It’s right on Kirkwood next to the IU Sample Gates, so it’s in an awesome location. You have to go upstairs to enter Campus Candy, but it’s worth the extra effort :) Once I entered the store, I was overwhelmed with all the selection. I had to walk by each section about 4 times before I could process it all. There was a very nice variety of chocolates, gummies, licorice and all sorts of other treats. There is also some good soft serve ice cream(I loved the maple nut flavor). This is a fun place to stop into if you are just walking around Kirkwood, but you can find most of the stuff at Walmart.

Pretty blah. The good: There is a large assortment of candy. I’m a big fan of gummis and they have all different types from peachy penguins to tie dyed gummi bears. The bad: Expensive, it’s something like $ 2.75 per quarter pound which is about two to three times the going rate. The service was lacking as it was staffed with undergrads who didn’t seem to care one bit about doing anything except talking with each other. I’d go to Target and get a $ 1 bag of gummis instead.

Deep Thoughts of the owners: «Well, people like candy. And they like french fries. Oh, and they like internet. Let’s open a candy store with a deep-fat-frier and seating.» Weird, dude. Weird. I give ‘em six months.

When I first heard about this place I thought it was gimmicky and unnecessary because you can get candy at any gas station or Target. Anyway, I was proven wrong and Campus Candy is pretty dang awesome. Their main offerings include candy, sandwiches, sweet potato fries, and rotating frozen yogurt flavors. The most notable sandwiches include peanut butter with nutella or fluff. They also offer some sort of tasty coffee blend for $ 1.00 a cup… regular or iced. Candy is around $ 2.75 for ¼ of a pound and the frozen yogurt is also purchased by weight. The candy is all quality stuff – lots of name brand gummies, jelly bellies, rock candy and tons of other choices… no filler in this store. The prices are what I expected, for around $ 8 I fit quite a bit of stuff in my bag. You have to remember specialty stores are never inexpensive though… if you want run of the mill candy, you are better off going to a gas station. They also only have a small amount of candy in each bin, which means they are refilled and cleaned often, cutting down on staleness. After seeing plenty of horrific bulk-bin maintenance in this town, I appreciate this detail. The interior is very modern and you can tell the place is aimed at a adult audience. The undergrad student staff could use a lesson in customer service though. I’ve been ignored several times while two cashiers finish their conversation or finish whatever they are doing around the store laptop. I felt like I was bothering them wanting to be ringed up. Campus Candy is located above Finches and next to Urban Outfitters on Kirkwood.
