UPDATE: Received shipment shortly after they were contacted by the AG’s office. Now having a issue with replacing of all the dead plants. Word game issues now between dead and not blooming. If a plant doesn’t bloom it is dead! Had plenty of time to awake from dormant state. Ridiculous! I should of stuck with Eburgess. Never had a problem with them. I doubt the authenticity of good reviews of this horrendous company. We can go back and forth for a year with their word games because I’ll do it and not tire! REPLACETHESEDEADPANTS!!! Well there are lots of complaints but you have to know you are ordering from a wholesale nursery that takes there stock mostly out of cold storage. Expect losses and they replace those losses easily enough. For those that have no patience you should shop at nurseries selling lush plants and charge you a lot extra for those plants and why shouldn’t they because they’ve take care of them for the entire time you were unwilling to. Nurseries such as Direct Gardening is where they get there stock and then green it up for a season or two. I’m a big fan because it lets me garden on a small budget. And in fact, e.g. the horrible looking English Lavender I get from DirectGardening grows to be lush and beautiful for years while the expensive Wal*Mart potted English Lavender from a well known name brand typically dies before even winter sets on.

I recently ordered 3 roses and 2 trees from this company, and have been very pleased so far. The plants arrived in 2 weeks as promised. And yes, they were ‘twigs’, but I had called the company prior to placing my order to ask a question, and they reminded me that what they sell are ‘starter plants.’ I greatly appreciated the booklet of instructions they included, explaining exactly how to start each type of plant. It’s only been about a week after planting, and I am already seeing new growth. I was very surprised to find all the negative reviews online, which I just now found today, as I was about to place my second order. So far, I am quite satisfied with this company.

BUYERBEWARE — one star is too many. Horrible products and service. Ordered the cocktail fruit trees as birthday gifts for a friend. They arrived two months later with bareroot starters(12″ n 24″) with absolutely no packaging and protection — basically two dead sticks. There was no paperwork or instructions either. Contacted customer service and they replied once but stopped after that when I asked about their one year warranty. Contacted my credit company and disputed the charges. So disappointing. I should’ve checked their previous reviews. I usually check reviews of new companies I buy from but didn’t this time and paid for it.

I ordered rose bushes. I have ordered rose bushes from others before, Edmund’s for example, with great results. My rose bushes came, they were pitifully small, but alive. I planted them and everyone died. Stupidly, I did not remember I had ordered from them before, and ordered 2 rose bushes again from them 2 years later. Same results, plus they made an unacceptable substitution for one when they were out of stock. I cannot recommend their products.

I ordered 15 different shrubs & trees from these guys on Sept. 4th. I came across their website and tried them out(before I read the yucky Unilocal reviews!) Well, today — 2 weeks later, as predicted on the website — ALL of the plants arrived. The plants are small but healthy. The trees are just sticks but that is to be expected for the price. They’re alive and will flourish when planted. I even rec’d 5 packages of bulbs and another hyacinth as «gifts». I am very pleased. As for customer service, I emailed them once and they responded within 48 hours. No problem. I did try to call several times but the line was always busy. So, to give a different point of view than the others on here so far … my experience was pretty darn good. GREAT price for decent plants. I got what I asked for ON time and my wallet is happy!

Total scam. One small order took 4 weeks, my 2nd has been 3 months and counting. The customer service is slow, rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. They literally ship your order if/when they feel like it. I will be doing a credit card chargeback and reporting them shortly. Do not waste your time with them, its a nightmare!
