Morty’s

Morty’s is currently my favorite place to grab lunch and sit in the sun. If you’re a vampire, or don’t care for sun, there is indoor seating as well. They have huge picnic tables and don’t mind if you have a huge group to drag them around where you please. There is a weekly group of 10 – 20 people from my office that frequent Morty’s to enjoy their great weekly specials. They have a menu of signature items, and then each week 3 specials that are available. From their signature menu, I recommend their Schooner sandwich. It’s a *huge* cod filet with bacon, tomato, sun dried tomato aioli.
Last week I had the best burger ever. It was formerly named the «Party in your mouth burger» about two years ago, but since then has been renamed to «Ultimate cheezburger» It is a burger with cheese whiz, cheese curds, and pepperjack… but wait it gets better. Two amazing slices of chicken-​fried bacon. I’m not ashamed to say I went to Morty’s twice last week to have that burger more than once. Some of their weekly specials should really become permanent additions to the menu.
They have fries, tots (highly recommended), side salad, and pasta salad for sides. While the Burger, side, and soda will bring you to around $ 9 for lunch, it is money well spent. If you don’t eat large portions, you’ll have some to take home for later. They also have punch cards and after 7 lunches you get one free.
They are only open during the summer months, which is a real drag and pretty much the only thing keeping me from giving this place 5 stars.
